I met James Horner during the recording of Avatar. He was the most wonderful person. I even told him how his music made me cry during the movie "Glory". The music was so incredible; emotional and added to the dreadful ways black men were used as slaves and how they fought during the Civil War.

This is the double edged nature of the horn: If done well, it is extraordinarily spirited. If done badly, it sounds like a dying seabird.
