@Samuel Anugrah Andre he also kinda saved SEGA with yakuza being on stage. SEGA bringing old IPs to life is cool even tho they're just remakes but a guaranteed true sequel if the remakes is a success.
My sister and I used to beat each other up in the boxing mini game on the GameCube version or do time trials against each other. Thank you for the massive wave of nostalgia this video gave me.
"We didn't use to get nickeled and dimed" Clearly Jon is thinking of the intermediate period between Arcades and Modern Gaming. Granted that time is the best don't @ me but one should remember that microtransactions has been around since the arcade era.
My local Toyworld had a video game renting thing in the back. It was the coolest. 3 games for the weekend for $5. The '90s were cool. The slight problem is, there's an RPG on the SNES I loved, but I can't remember its name.
Always bothers me to watch videos for games like this, makes me feel the need to tilt my phone accordingly like a grandma playing mario kart would tilt a GC controller
Huh, I never knew there was a remake of Marble Madness. Wikipedia tells me there's been more time since the first Monkey Ball was made than there was between Marble Madness and Monkey Ball. Does anyone else ever feel old?
Day 512 of requesting Zoo Tycoon. Strange game, but I've played a game involving plumbers toppling a turtle monarchy in support of a deposed noble, so I shouldn't judge
OK but the whole "there's no microtransactions" thing is bull. You just got the deluxe version, if you don't buy deluxe you have to pay *real* extra money for the extra content.
Still blows my mind that this game is from the same studio as the Yakuza games. And that you can play as a Kazuma Kiryu ball.
the creator of Yakuza Nagoshi is also the director of Super Monkey Ball

@Samuel Anugrah Andre that ik, the rumor is confirmed officially by RGG studios' tweet.
Fun Fact: *Super Monkey Ball 2* has been frequently used in the medical department to train people for Laparoscopic (Pelvic) surgeries
Ngl I’m not surprised, the amount of control needed for some of those stages is insane
Why 2 specifically? Just the easiest one to get on mass?
Jon, please tell me that the title is a reference to the highly acclaimed Troy McClure Planet of the Apes musical.
I LOVE YOU, DOCTOR ZAIUS
"Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off"
@@ManyATrueNerd your title references never fail to amuse me
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Oh my God, I was wrong!
Jon, you didn't show the single greatest and most important part of the entire Monkey Ball franchise: monkey target.
My god. I played days worth of monkey target with my brother on our GameCube.
"Now we are in good banana angle"
For some reason I loved this sentence.
I admire Jon using his Saturday game to subtlety plug his Fall Out Sunday series.
20:20
I like how john and I both noticed the strange level name *after* the level was over.
Super Monkey ball on GameCube was one of my first ever games so this is a more than exciting release
Jon clearly is a "Fall Out"-channel given his performance.
I see they didn't renew the Dole Sponsorship for this version
The same month that Alan Wake ditched all its product placement too.
@@ManyATrueNerd Guess games don't need product placement anymore.
Unless your Death Stranding
I hate to break it to you, but Death Stranding Directors Cut has dropped the Monster product palcement
@@Mobysimo Apparently they weren't even paying for it, He just liked the drink so put it in his game.
@@XDieKillDieX Yeah that fits with Kojima honestly
Definitely should do another video playing the mini games with Clair against some AI
This should be a Jon and Claire livestream
I grew up playing these games, the party modes are so much fun
Golf?! Super Monkey Bowling is where it's at, Jon!
Must have played so much of that...
Seems like a nice idea for a chill stream.
Until we start focusing on the harder challenges, anyway. ;)
Also a nice idea for a chaotic stream with Dan and Matt,
I feel in these troubled and turbulent times more super monkey ball is exactky what the world needed
My sister and I used to beat each other up in the boxing mini game on the GameCube version or do time trials against each other. Thank you for the massive wave of nostalgia this video gave me.
Jon is clearing having a BALL in this game ;)
SO MANY HOURS!!! I may have taken some substances during play.... such joy as a moronic late teen
Huge fan of both this channel and Super Monkey Ball! Was delighted to see this on my subscription!
I used to plat this on the GameCube with my cousins. We always played races or the golf. This brings back such nostalgia for me!
"Yes You've finally made a Monkey... Out... of... meeeeee!!!!"
"We didn't use to get nickeled and dimed"

Have you ever played Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg? You may like it too.
Seeing "Monkey Tennis" just gave me Alan Partridge flashbacks.

Everyone is doing Metroid Dread..... Great game..... Jon's doing Super Monkey ball! Loved this on my playstation in the late 90's
There's a f2p Super Monkey Ball turn based mobile game, like Raid or any of those types of games. But its actually quite good for that type of game.
This is the kind of game I have no desire to play, but I _do_ want to watch 100% banana speedruns of it.
Monkey Ball speedruns are works of art. Perfect speedrunning game.
Just wondering, if this is your monkey, is this also your circus?
There’s a cell phone version of this that really works well. You tilt the phone for movement.
the menu theme literally looks and sounds like the intro of an anime i once watched
This is not enough. I d be down for a series which was each mini game.
I remember playing this game on my wii when I was still a kid, good times.
"Helper Function" = Game Journo mode ^_^
I remember buying this as an app game on my iPhone 10 years ago.
Ok that was one giant smile of a video. Well-played sir!
This game is adorable.
Ah the sweet memories of a near-impossible-to-control game, using the most unresponsive controller to ever exist (Game Cube).
Whaaat? Game cube controller best controller.
Good day for banana fishing.
YAY! I absolutely loved the one on Gamecube. :)
Love this, can't wait to see more of this in the future!!!
Thank you for the video.
wait A MINUTE. IS THIS JUST A REMASTER OR WHAT?
This just from the menu is 9 year old me distiled in a bottle
POTASSIUM
Always bothers me to watch videos for games like this, makes me feel the need to tilt my phone accordingly like a grandma playing mario kart would tilt a GC controller
Fun concept, but i'm getting dizzy from that whole "world moving around" part.
Huh, I never knew there was a remake of Marble Madness. Wikipedia tells me there's been more time since the first Monkey Ball was made than there was between Marble Madness and Monkey Ball. Does anyone else ever feel old?
Haha something tells me this is going to be a good one
Is this an ad? :p
