The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

Charlie had the greatest rubber face and body and funniest vocal tics. Those eyes, that nose and that mouth... He made millions laugh. He was like a living Don Martin character. Love you Charlie and rest in peace..

If you have a sense of humor, you will get it, if not, have it explained to you. No lewd comments, no insensitive jokes, no ethnic slurs, no religious insults, just basic humor that will always be funny. Facial expressions and two props( hats) that will last the test of time. Charlie is hilarious usually but in this lip sync you could see in his face something like a sorrow and more than once so maybe he was worried or sad about something ...

The World misses you Charlie , look what we are left with , smut and vulgarity and toilet humor . Sad really , but we have these videos to remind us of a time when there was dignity and class and political correctness were just two words .
