      @SaltyPirate71 7 років тому +2

      No. If you want to see the original Robin Williams, then watch the Carson interviews with Jonathan Winters. There is even one with Winters and Williams on Carson at the same time. Jonathan Winters was Robin Williams without the cocaine, 40 years before Williams was ever on TV. Their acts were so similar, it is a bit spooky.

      @@TheFishdoctor1952 There's nothing hard to say about it. The question wasn't who was the best. Can't you read? Jonathan Winters was doing the same comedy style as Robin Williams 20 years before Williams. Obviously there are differences, that's why the videos of them together are important to see.

    A few years later, Charlie was on the Tonight Show. Another guest was Jean Marsh. He bombed so terribly; it was embarrassing. Jean Marsh forced a few sympathetic laughs but the audience was dead silent. I don't think he was ever back on the Tonight Show and I didn't see him in other TV after that. It was strange because he always did well before. Maybe a gypsy woman put a curse on him.

      +75350v8. I have a different theory on what might of happend between Charlie and Johnny . I think Johnny fired Charlie from the show because Charlie was a threat to johnny's career . That's how funny Charlie was . The tv network was inviting Charlie on the show all the time and regularly, Johnny noticed this and said " No way, let me fire this guy now before they get rid of me " . That's what I think .
      I don't believe Charlie shoved , pushed , or put his hands on Johnny in any way .
      Charlie was incredibly funny and a well mannered guy .

    I remember staying up late as a kid to watch Johnny. When Charlie Callas was on I never thought he was any funnier than any of the kids I knew who acted silly and made odd noises. He just wasn’t very funny. But so figured, since he’s on Johnny Carson, I guess he’s funny? He wasn’t. Later on it came out that Johnny didn’t care for his comedy and wished he would do something new for once. This supposedly was his last appearance. Johnny couldn’t stand him any more and banned him after this.

    They say Charlie callas was kicked off the tonight show for shoving Johnny carson during a comedy scene.
    That is a total flat out lie and there is no proof of that anywhere . I looked into it and other tv journalists looked into it and nobody cant find any evidence of that anywhere.
    I have a different theory on why Johnny carson didnt invite him on the show anymore.
    NBC network was taking a very special interest in Charlie Callas .
    Charlie was a number one guest there , invited all the time, and Johnny carson felt his career threatened by that .
    So Johnny carson fabricated this lying story that Charlie shoved him. B.S ..There's no evidence of that anywhere .
    The real motive was something else.
