Most don't mention they reduced the physical size of vulcans when they made the 1700. The 1600 was longer and bigger . I guess to big for some people so they made the 1700 a bit more compact. I like the 1600 myself it's stretched out long like a big caddillac
Interesting observation, I noticed that the Vulcan 900 even is quite a long legged (if you will) bike which doesn't really suit my smaller frame, whereas a big 1700 is more comfortable for me.
Love the Nomad!! I'm a loyal owner of my 3rd nomad . All have been trouble free, my absolute favorite mount when I'm headed to Vegas. I live in Wyoming it's a great day trip to Vegas from Wyoming through the mountains of Utah. Hell I video my next trip.. lol
Nice man! I just inherited this same bike from my recently passed father. I work in Teton national park and look forward to taking it to wyoming and exploring on it all summer. Wyoming has some great riding!
I hate the fact that Kawasaki quit making the classic LT except just the 900. No other bigger engines except the Vaquero and Voyager, which of course are still great bikes. I wish they would make something in between the 900 and the 1700. Also sad they stopped making the 2.0. I suppose people that want the in between bikes will have to go Suzuki or Yamaha. Personally I prefer the Kawasaki brand.
your videos are super, but man the neighbourhood where you test drive the motorcycles is so beautiful. lush green, houses at distance, properties big. its heaven you live/work in. enjoy it
The first I was gonna say? Bro no gear? But then you gave a legit explanation. Just dont do it again. I share your videos all the time!! Very nice sounding bike!!
So being that your privaledged to get to ride all makes 'n models, which is your favorite of the big twin cruisers? I know there all pretty good but is the one or two brands or models that you would prefer?
Got a question about this bike. I just bought one Friday and this bike is sexy. I would have paid more after I rode it home. My question is when you let out of it does it slow down way fast, or is that normal. I let off and it throws me forward abit like I goossed it.
pretty certain owners manual mentions improved engine braking resulting in less brake wear and rideability, my 1600 nomad seems that way 1 thru 4 and less noticeable in 5 also is one of if not the best most comfortable rides I've had out of many IMHO
well they are two completely different styles of bikes with different purposes. the vtx is more of a muscle bike, that you rip around on scaring ghosts and whitches and the vulcan and more specifically the nomad is more of a cruiser bike, so its more of an up right comfortable long riding position, both are great bikes but for a longer tour i would prefer the nomad, and for a good time making noise and and pulling hard, i d go with the vtx
Srkcycles the VN 1700 Classic will be my first bike... all my friends said i should buy one with ABS. I am 1,96 meters tall so i have to choose a "Big Bike". But i am not sure about the weight of this bike or its power...maybe to much for a really newbie? Greetings from Germany
Betrügerlachs.. I'm a vulcan owner. It's my second bike. If you can keep from going crazy on the throttle, the Vulcan would be a great first bike. Very stable, and very nimble considering it's a cruiser. I get about 200 miles out of a tank. It rides really smooth, but has ridiculous power when you want it. These are Harley killers. Kawasaki designed these to perform. And they deliver. They look good, sound good, ride well, and feel nimble while also feeling like a proper big bike. Kawasaki hit a home run with these machines
I can. I have a LT that is outfitted from close to a Vaquero buyer, but to an enthusiast it looks like what it is a LT thas has been Made to look like a Custom, almost $29,000 in my Bike since New!
I've had mine for a couple of months now. I LOVE it. Best big bike I've ever owned. Learning about maintainence and upgrades.
I love how these bigger Vulcans gargle and pop like a HIGH-Pro motor while decelerating.. makes me smile every time mine does it.
I bought one a few months ago and love it so far.

Been watching ur stuff for years it seems u r the best bro
Definitely trying to find one of these for my next bike. Lost a vn1500 to a teenager in a jetta, recovered now figured might as well upgrade.
That is a beautiful bike! I actually prefer the strip down look as well! Thanks for showing it off.
yeah me too

I have 1 for Sale it is the Nicest 2010 Classic LT in the Hemisphere.

I like the fact that there is more blacked out parts, instead of being chromed to death.
Every bike I ever look up on UA-cam, you’ve done a test on it.

yep have one also just got it Ivanized but have to wait till spring to find out how much better it will run. Can not wait

Great video! Thanks from Holland.

hay thanks for the help mine did not have a manual. And I love this bike thats right on how it rides. way better then my 98 royal star.
I really wish you had a camera man with you to see how you look on the bike. I’m a tall guy and it’s helpful.
would you say this bike is about the same as the Yamaha 1700 Roadstar as far as ride and power are concerned?
thanks for the review! Do you prefer this or the Honda VTX 1800

VTX uses twice the fuel though due to the shaft drive + no overdrive/6th gear
Great review
how many gallons is the gas tank?
“Perfect for texting” xD
This bikes looks awesome. Do you think it might be too much for a new rider of around 2 years riding?
no this could be a great bike for someone with your experience its not that heavy, and tons of fun to drive

I can. I have a LT that is outfitted from close to a Vaquero buyer, but to an enthusiast it looks like what it is a LT thas has been Made to look like a Custom, almost $29,000 in my Bike since New!
Riding a bike without a helmet, and with all the injuries and holes in my head that when the wind blows I hear flutes!

Professionals do not wear shorts, no jacket, no gloves. And they don't whine about the heat.
