thank you Leigh. no mate i had no one to teach me i learnt threw cook books and watching as many people cook as i could. when i was 17 i had my first son and my first dinner party. i cooked everything out of a cook book from that night on i have been collecting cook books and making recipes out of all of them. its been just over 30 years now. wow pffft dont feel that old lmao. have a great day mate :)
I often make too much of anything, especially soups and stews, ragus etc... I find it a good excuse to visit friends and lend them a container... "Return when empty" LOL It gets me out of the house and seeing people too, which is a good thing!
