I bought one and installed it today in my truck. The display is hard to see in the bright of day. This was a very inexpensive unit. I am happy with my purchase.
I have a DEH-X6600BT; when I insert a CD or use a flash drive with MP-3 files it cuts off the first several seconds of the song and toward the end of the song it switches to the next song clipping off the end of the song. I have turned off the MIXTRAX and short playback mode to off and it still does this??
for the DEH66, Hit the power button to off its the source button hold it for a couple seconds, then look for the button along the bottom that says DSPLY and press that. Your interface should go off and it will solve your problem.
Put this deck in my car (2006 Hyundai Tiburon). Works and looks great. Had 1 issue where deck couldn't find phone. Just turned off my car then back on and connected right back up.

I just got this radio's baby brother, the DEH-X5700BT. Amazing radio for the price, but somehow it keeps draining my battery, even with Power Save Mode on, the head-unit turned off and the front removed. My 93 Citroën BX doesn't have a switched wire, so I had to hook up both red and yellow to the constant 12V coming from the battery, hence me setting Power Save to "on" (which, according to Pioneer, should turn the radio off completely). Does the battery draining indicate a faulty radio? Or will connecting a wire from my ignition's plus to the red wire to create an ignition switch wire (if so, should I put a fuse in between, and what type of wire would you recommend?) fix this problem?

I believe it's draining the battery cause even my alarm system is dead. i hooked this head unit up with Axxess GMOS-LAN-02 Wiring Interface. Right now i have the red wire(head unit) hooked up the 16pin red wire BUT there are 2 red wires. the manual said to hooked them both up. any ideas or suggestions on what I'm not doing or not doing? You wired the remote power cable to the wrong wire and have a continuous current of power to the head unit. It cannot have a hot lead to the head unit or it will drain your battery, the remote wire lets the head unit know when the car turns on that the head unit should turn on.
I am interested in purchasing either the DEH-X6600BT or the FH-X700BT. I need to be able to connect two android phones via BT and receive/make calls on either one. I understand only one phone can be actively used at once, but I don't want to have to choose which phone is paired to the system to make calls and which I have to use the handset for. Can you tell me if either of these systems can pair both phones and keep them active so they can both receive calls? Thanks.
Hey guys, I have this installed in my dads truck and it won't pair with his phone and play music like it used to. It keeps saying "no service" and I don't know how to fix it. It shows up on my phone, then I pick it, the pairing code thing shows up, tells me to accept and then it fails to do so. Then, once I do that, nothing else will work either and I'll have to restart it just to play the radio. What do I do?
agustin martinez Hold the Dial (press in) until you see the bluetooth pair menu, scroll to Delete paired device, hit YES, then repair and it will work. No Service problem happened to me after there was a problem with bluetooth pairing and that fixed it
My Bluetooth is no longer working! I had this system for a few months now & the other day my little cousin was repeatedly pressing all the buttons on the stereo. Now when I try to pair my phone with Bluetooth, it doesn't show on my Phone. (Even when it says /{BT AUDIO: ON} Please help! Thanks.
Avatar5414 Hello, You can try to get into the bt settings or bt mode. in System, and delete all existing phones using BT mem CLear that may be paired up. To free up memory. If that doesnt work you can try and reset everything back to default. then delete the paired radio out of your phone. And when the radio boots back up, turn off demo, and try to repair your phone. I hope this helps some.
Installed this in my '02 mini cooper last night. Works wonderfully. I did lose steerwing wheel functionality, and am wondering if this is something on the vehicle side or if it is something that the head unit simply doesn't support?
Almost all Pioneer units have wired remote control support. There is a jack plug in the back of the unit but you have to buy a Pioneer adapter for your type of car.
I appreciate the response. I ended up grabbing this unit and love it. I was able to set the proper amber (preset sucked) for my mini cooper. Are you able to tell me where the heck I can find the pioneer adapter for a mini/bmw?? I am able to find things like instructions manuals and MAYBE even an order page in russion, but nothing in English/US.
All they seemingly sell is the PAC-SWI, and that is not what I am looking for (mixed reviews on those units). Apparently pioneer makes, or MADE a unit themselves, but I am unable to find it. Best I have done is found the Russian instruction manual, which doesn't help me much (aside from confirming the thing exists).

mark aggio this is the first time ive heard of that, but you can try to delete any saved phones in the radio, and turn off bluetooth on your phone and turn it back on and see if you can repair it. If all else fails you might have to reset the radio back to factory defaults, and see if you can repair after that.
i have an iPhone, when i connect it with the device and try to make a call, i can hear people talking but peole can't hear me, maybe the mic is disabled?

Does it not have a built in mic at all? On futureshop site it says built in mic but it also says includes a mic in the box so im a tad confused.

There's a blue wire with a white stripe , named the ' remote " wire , which is used to turn on your amp through the system.

It's an error 13 message which means the Bluetooth is fried very common on this unit pioneer does nothing to help either.

My Bluetooth stopped working after updating the app connection. Thank pioneer. Anyone else have this problem
