I have trio of them..they all died after keep on putting fertilizer for my plants without changing the water once a week..do you think that's the reason they die?

Hey mate, Sad to hear, without doing alot of other tests on water i wouldnt be able to confirm that, most plant fertiliser's are fish safe so the chances are unlikely but in the fish world theres always a chance!

Were you keeping the newly hatched fry in that fairy light box without filter and heater?

      Thanks for your Question!
That box is pretty well specially made for raising Fry, its hooked into the air system which siphons water from the tank into the box essentially saving me from having to heat and filter a second tank purely from the fry which in turn keeps the fry in the water they hatched in too 😀

My Pleco fry I got today keeps darting to the surface and down every 10-15 mins and loves very high flow it seems.. There is an air pump so low oxygen is not it i think. Is this normal mate?

Sorry for such a late reply!
Without doing a test on your water, i couldn't really tell you a guaranteed reason! Though usually, if i have issues like that i find my water may not be oxygenated enough or iv got something pushing them to the surface. In my experience with bristlenose and other pleco breeds, iv not had them do what you're describing, but its not unheard of in the fish keeping hobby. Sorry for the non answer answer mate, hope you have figured it out by the time you read this comment!

What food are you feeding em?

Hey mate, while they're this small i feed First Bites for the first week or so, otherwise i like to either powder up flake food or slice up cucumber so the flesh of it is exposed for them to get at. After they go into the tank they'll usually just start eating whatever they can find in the mulm or the food left over from adults
