- LONG LIFE, CV controlled FX pedal from @fairfield Circuitry - review
Fairfield Circuitry LongTime is an FX pedal with the controls most synth users will appreciate. It's a parametric EQ with tilt and CV. You can even saturate using its own gain.

I also use this with my grandmother, dfam and 0-coast. Really versatile tone shaping. Nice colouration from the pedal.
My favourite use is to have a keyboard gate signal to the Freq CV input and set the Q at 12oclock, gain at 3 o'clock and the tilt at 3 o'clock, on the Long Life. Frequency knob at 12 o'clock.
I forgot to mention the fun stuff happens when you release the key press! Especially on bass
Amazing little box ! thanks so much for the demo :) definitely something i could use, ( btw its pronounced "Fair" Field )
Does that Sh-01 sync with the Roland TB303 ? ...or does one still require a midi to din sync converter ? How would you sync the 303 ?
The original TB-303 does not have MIDI but CV and gates so it could work with CV and Gate. Check this video for more info about sync : ua-cam.com/video/0_TxXDjn5wY/v-deo.html
@@Nu-trix thank you 🙏... sorry i worded my question incorrectly- I meant for the tb303 to receive din sync as the slave. For example from a drum machine which has regular midi.
You will need a converter. The TB-303 was created before MIDI and has a proprietary Roland protocol.
@@Nu-trix ok thanks so much I appreciate the advice and help
Thanks, I have this and was wonderimg on the whethers amd hows!👏🏻 Did you ever try Paragraphs from Vongon in a similar setup or in conjunction with the Longlife?
I have not tried them.
It's a tilt EQ man.
