  • It is now the 37th day and my tank is finally cycled! That means we can add our fish to the tank! I am so excited to introduce two of my favourite fish - Yellow Clown Goby and Royal Gramma in the Waterbox Cube 20. I hope they will do well in the tank. More updates on them in my future videos!

    Nice tank, good video.
    You have to hold the drop bottle upright for a accurate test result.

      Thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind 😁 Hopefully it won't affect the test result that much

    That old water looks like it needs some good quality carbon in your tank! Was that windex you sprayed on the glass? Everything looks good mate

    • @BlueReefTank
      @BlueReefTank  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah but it's also green because I was dosing phytoplankton but thank for the suggestion :)
      I no longer use windex spray and only use RODI water now as that's the safest option

  • @supermantop1081
    @supermantop1081 3 роки тому +2

    Did you use windex to clean your tank? It’s a bit risky 😬

    • @BlueReefTank
      @BlueReefTank  3 роки тому

      Yeah, hence why I no longer use glass cleaner 😅 Only RODI and paper towels. Work wonders!

    would any of you adding more then a clownfish couple to this tank?
    I'm thinking of mixing 2 clownfish with a damnsel and a firefish as well as a skunk shrimp?
    Is that too much?

    No light during cycle would have prevented this only need light for corals

    U should never spray on the tank because of toxic in the spay.
    Always on the cloth

    • @BlueReefTank
      @BlueReefTank  3 роки тому +1

      You are right - Not sure why I sprayed directly in the glass this time😅

      I even don't spray on the cloth in the same room as where my tank is. I spray the cloth in the kitchen and then i walk to the room where my tank is.

    does this tank have a lid? or is there any place I can buy an unoficial one? I'm rly bad at DIY

    hi. I have a 21 gallon cube tank like this one currently housing 2 clowns and 1 fire shrimp. will adding a royal gramma be pushing it?

    • @BlueReefTank
      @BlueReefTank  3 роки тому

      I think adding a royal gramma should be fine. It depends how aggresive your clowns are. Just make sure you've got plenty of caves in your rockwork as the gramma likes to hide inside caves 😁 One more thing is to make sure you have a lid in your tank. My gramma jumped out TWICE and luckily I was home when it happened. I hope that helps! 😅

    What sand are you using in this tank?

    • @BlueReefTank
      @BlueReefTank  3 роки тому

      Hi David , It is the Aquaone Coral Sand 5kg. Hope that helps!

    Never wire your aquarium to a smart device, otherwise the AI will conspire with the fish against you, the human overlord.

      @@BlueReefTank you could always get black clowns? Or those other fancy ones like frost bite, Picasso clowns 😅
      Some other fish can be fire fish or pink streaked wrasse but i been hearing they might not get along with the gramma. Maybe a PJ cardinal? What fishies do you have in mind?!

    • @BlueReefTank
      @BlueReefTank  3 роки тому

      I still don't have any other fish in mind yet 😅 I wanted something a bit more rare but not too sure what fish. There's really not that much choices here in Australia unfortunately
