I would love to know how to remove the gasket so that I can remove the mold that has built up in my machine. Will never buy another front loading washing machine again, unless it's a Speed Queen. If I'd known I was supposed to wipe the gasket down after every use, I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.
Thanks you for the comment. Well, there are several cleaning aids that clean the washer. Also, most models have a Tub Clean program that you can use. A hot wash (without clothes/detergent) may also do the job. Cleaning the gasket is mainly meant to situations where hairs can be found in that area. Leaving this could cause (small) leakages at the front which can easily be prevented, that is why we advise it. Hope this helps.
@@LGSAE Doesn't help at all. The gasket is a design flaw. I will never buy another washing machine with a plastic gasket again. Design a washing machine without one of theses horrendous mold farms, and I might buy it. Otherwise, no. Thanks!
Apparently you have to pretty much disassemble the machine to remove/replace the gasket to clean it. Ridiculous design.
Stick with TVs, LG.
Front load washers are NOT new! Why not skip all the mold-farm folds and wires and just have a manual door latch that locks while the machine is running, and just use enough water to actually clean. I’d gladly skip the “Energy Star” for clean clothes and a washer that requires professional help to actually clean. SMH.
Thanks for your reply. There's of course a say to use top loaders instead of front load washers. That is why we sell both. Gaskets do not require professional help, but in some cases supportive videos may help some users along. along with cleaning a gasket, our machines also have Tub Clean which cleans the tub inside.

Apologies for not living up to your expectations. However, machines do not produce mold/fungus by themslves, it created by a combanition of wash temperatures, amount of detergent, user maintenance and more. We just try to aid customers to keep their machine in optimal condition.
