if the seal is that bad it’ll need the autoclean cycle, press and hold timesaver and reduced creases, it’s 1:10 and pour a natural descaler in such as citric acid, bicarbonate of soda or a non sudsy washer cleaner (dishwasher tablets) and run towels and all bedding on a usual cotton timesaver 60c to help keep the machine clean too
Thank you for your comment. If an autoclean programme could remove this mould I would be surprised. Unfortunately, in this stage of mould need more than citric acid or bicarbonate of soda. Also autoclean programme doesn’t have on older machines.
In early stage your method could be good.

@@georgesworkshop8600 ahh right, autoclean is on this model though, also using powder is definitely better, put in drum, saves the drawer getting mucky and the tub!

If this didn’t work as you would, let’s try thick bleach and leave it on 5-10 minutes. Wipe it down and repeat if needed.
Great video George, I am going to give this a try. I know you say leave a few minutes before wiping away, was that 15, 20, or 30 minutes roughly?

At least 15 minutes each time. So when you wiped out and see it’s still discoloured, not proper clean apply the clearer scrub and wait 15 minutes again. Repeat until you are not satisfied.
Be better if they made the seals mold resistant

or... you can just start using hot programmes and not fastwash for everything? mine doesnt have a single area of mould on the seal
Same delicate fabric cannot be washed on hot programme. Or if it’s not necessary why would we use these, you will waste just the energy . A deep clean is not end of the world and less expensive than use high temperature programme. It helps if you wipe to dry the rubber seal and the dispenser.

I understand what you say, but nowadays households are using lower temperature washing programs and prefer liquid detergent. Personally I prefer the liquid too, as the powder could damage the detergent dispenser. So until the factories won’t change to anti-mold rubber we have to clean it time by time.
Anyway, if we would wipe it to dry or leave the door open until dry out, that could prevent from mold.
@@georgesworkshop8600 the powders that work best is bold airel or daz we never use liquid our household had powder for many years all the machines we had lasted over 10 years being spotless fabric softener can be a problem the best one to use is lenor and ecocover as they don't leave sludges unlike comfort etc. Aftet cycle with a dry cloth is swiping the seal and leaving draw and the door open slightly leaving it air then no mold will build up hope this helps anything like soda crystals and white vinegar and also damage the machine ever months best thing to do is run a 90 cycle with a dishwasher tablet or citric acid

@@georgesworkshop8600 so my seal was horrible!!! Embarrassing horrible!!! I got a bucket and put the rubber seal in hot water mixed with bleach for 24 hours! After 24 hours!! It looked like a brand new seal!!! I didn't think it was going to work...it did! Now I make sure after every wash I dry the seal with a dry towel around the seal the best I can! It might be a few minutes but I don't care! I do not want that nasty looking seal back! Or do I want the trouble of having to put he seal back on! Taking it off not so bad. Putting the rubber seal back on is not a fun time!!! But bleach a bucket hot water and 24 hours!!! I
Really works!!! After 24 hours I did take my seal out of the bleach water and I then let the seal sit for another 24 hours in just hot water to get the bleach off the seal.... make sure the whe seal is emerged in the water.
