Too many people going off saying it's too much food for a 8 month old , honestly it depends on how well your child eats and can tolerate food. Its great that the mom is giving her lots and lots of variety of foods. My daughter is gonna be 9 months and that girl could eat lots if you let her. So just putting it out there it really depends on your child and how well they eat. My son was never a great eater and its hard to give him different kinds of food even when he was a baby he wasnt a great eater also so it really just depends on your child.
I can’t wait to meet my baby boy this Christmas. Watching these videos give me so much comfort and inspiration! Motherhood is truly beautiful, tough and so rewarding. It’s made me so much closer with my own mother as well.
It really does mama! Congrats on your baby boy! It is the most beautiful experience, being pregnant and giving birth. You really do appreciate your parents so much more after you become a mother. It is so hard but so rewarding for sure.
Stop comparing your baby to others. Each baby goes at their own pace. In addition not every mom have the time and resources like this mom does. Once your baby is happy and healthy that's all that's matters. So hang in there mommies. My baby is 8 months old and I give her puree foods.

Hi, Thanks for the video, some good ideas for food prep. Could you please say when did you start giving food to your babygirl and was it solid? Or did you start giving solid when she had teeth? Also do you still give milk to your girl? It is not shown in the video... My baby is almost 7 month old and I am still hesitating between puree and solid. She does not have teeth. Thanks for your answer
It’s great that you’re feeding her so much but it’s all still very healthy. She looks happy and very average in weight. Everyone comments why my baby isn’t so chunky but she’s actually perfect weight and above average in height since her dad is 6’3 and our doctor is so happy because I guess they’re worried kids are very heavy now. I don’t really give her bananas that often but we do berries a lot and NEVER ever juice. We try to maintain the sugars a bit lower. I look forward to making her little smoothies soon. I really enjoyed this video specially seeing her eat the broccoli with such joy! You’re doing a great job!
My son is 8 months old and I try to not make his food bland. I add chicken or fish or beef to almost all his purée and he loves it especially since I cook the meat and Veges together getting all those flavors in there. I may even add a pinch of salt. Just a smudge. And for his fruits I add dates which naturally sweetens some of those fruits that may be on the sour end. Just trying to give him a balance and delicious diet.
at 8-month old, my baby's solid food are mashed, nothing big chunks, even when they were soft foods. She hardly had any teeth then (some in front) so I didn't think that she had much chewing ability at that time. Scary, since big chunks/pieces are chocking hazard i think, they have small pipelines.
Try distracting them as I had the same problem so basically what I do is put kids music/video and distracts her in order to make her eat all her dinner.
For everyone who complain, it is not wasting food, it is making opportunity to the child to explore his food so that they can eat themselves. I am a mom of 8 months old and i didn’t know how to wean my baby properly. But now i have learnt that by following this way of feeding, my baby eats by knowing what food it is and i can make sure she fills her tummy. And another thing is, all those food in front of the baby is not eaten completely by her, for sure, there is leftovers and we moms can eat that. At least that food is healthy for us!
What I said is you do not feed an infant which is before 12 mo solid food because their digestive systems are not developed enough . Also , most infants do not have enough if any teeth before 12mo and most infants still have the tongue thrust reflex [ TTR] till at least 12mo and longer . You feed a child solid food not an infant . An infant isn't a child till 1yr of age .In times past women never fed their infants till at least 1yr and lots of times they went 2yrs even three before giving solid food .
No you do not want to feed an infant solid food . Just because times change doesn't mean what was once true isn't in a different time .They have minimal teeth if any at 4mo common sense would tell you how are they going to chew food . Also they still have the TTR till at least 1 year .
My 7 year old doesn’t eat this much food for one day , neither my 3 year old and I just started feeling my 6 month old. I feel bad . But good for you! Good Job 👍
Hi, I love your video, it gives me some idea to give food for my baby. How much formula does she drink at one time? Coz I saw on comment below that she drinks 6 times formula a day..my baby only drinks 4 times and eats solid food 2 times a day
All babys and children grow differently my daughter was the same and she is now 4 but she talks like an adult she's very advanced not all kids are the same they are all perfect in there on little ways
Nope, not at all. She also gets her milk during the day. At this age your kid should be eating three times a day. Also Aliana is average weight for her age.
Sofia is correct. Babies, although they should be introduced to solids 4-6 months of age, still need at least 16-20 ounces of breast milk/formula a day. My daughter is 8 months, has a very big appetite and still eats real food. Yes, she needs to eat at least 3x a day with 2 snacks and plenty of water. I give her fruit and veggies puree and either finely shredded or pureed meat. She also has her oatmeal. Completely leaving out the formula or milk until a year can leave them with deficiencies in the future. For example, I was given real food at an early age, but too soon. As a result, I've even developed anemia. Like, wtf? Not even right. In my opinion, this baby is at least 9 months. Teeth are in, she's eating a lot of solids which would otherwise be cooking hazards and let's talk poop. At 8 months with all that, your daughter will be constipated no matter how much water you give her. I see grain, grain, meat, fruit/veggies and grain. You shouldn't be giving her pureed foods with grain until 9 months for a reason.
@@phoenixnightengale5038 My baby boy had his first teeth at his 6th month. Infants can be introduced to solid foods from the start (you can read more about BLW). My boy is 8 months old now and can chew very well. However, I agree that they need milk more than other food at this age. Since introduced to food, my boy hadn't wanted my breast milk anymore but I still try to make sure he has at least 750ml of breast milk per day.
Hi, this is the first of your videos that I’ve seen, I think your girl is adorable! I have an 8.5 month old right now, she’s also being half fed by me and half self - feeding. I just wanted to share that here in Singapore we are given a government mandated guide sheet of what is possible for babies to eat at what stage, and berries & legumes are not encouraged until 9 months, eggs until a year, amongst other foods like cheese and seafood. Apparently it’s to do with them being allergens. Has this ever been told to you by a paediatrician? No judgment, just curious, because I stuck with this guide sheet for my first girl (who’s 5 now) and I’m sticking with it right now for my baby, and I’m wondering if Aliana has ever displayed any symptoms of allergy? We Singaporeans do tend to be very cautious and risk - averse! Anyway, well done on bringing up your girl so well, you’re both beautiful. (Sorry this is so long!)
I know this was posted some time ago 😅 But new research has actually shown that there is no need to wait so long before introducing allergens, unless close family members (mom, dad and siblings) have had allergies to certain foods!
I seriously love this video!! I've recently started making my son's food and he LOVES pouches but they are so pricey. I wish I would have known about the Infantino Squeeze Station sooner!!!! Your daughter is so beautiful and it's so awesome to see how well she's eating!! I'm still nervous on giving my son small pieces, how did you do it?
You just start doing it because they need to learn how. But make sure to start with small soft pieces that are really easy for them to chew. Their gums are really strong like teeth, but you just make sure that your baby starts eating soft foods first so they get down the technique of eating.
Chew right in front of them , eat with them , do it every time say chew your food chew chew. I do it with my son and he completely understands now. He’s 8 months as well and he’ll even start copying me with the chewing when I bring it up hahaha , make sure to do it with the front teeth too just like them
Thanks mama! I check what other companies have done and just add a little more to them since I want her to get as much nutritional value out of each pouch!
Is it for a.whole crew? It looks like too much for me or maybe my baby is starving haha but seriously i think this amount of food is too much and too "advanced" for an 8. Month baby. I also felt kind of sad cause my baby doesn't hold her food like that and she's 10 months old, please someone tell me how you helped your babies get more independent.
thank you for time and energy but my problem is that l don't have that machine so l struggle so much then to make purity so then l have to buy but like how you manage everything
I love your technique. I noticed you let her play with her food, also eat as snacking, while spoonfeed main puree. But this is for babies who have already lost their gag reflux. If your baby is gagging, he/she may not be ready yet.
When did you start giving her chicken and bigger veggies? My 8-month-old still eats puree stuff, but partially bc I'm terrified of her choking. I think I'm traumatized from when I tried to give her watermelon once and she bit off a chunk and started choking a little. But I need and want to start giving her more finger foods.
I started when she was about 7 1/2. Gave her super small pieces of shredded chicken and then pieces of broccoli she an hold as finger food. Their gums are very strong, like teeth! They learn how to eat, just be aware of what you are giving and start with small pieces first. Shred them and lay it across the table so they learn how to pick and feed themselves.
Thanks . I am 13 weeks along and researching how to take care of my little one when he/she arrives. Reading a lot of books and watching young moms in action to educate myself so that I can be a good mom.
Omgosh this baby is soo cute and loves her food... my little dude just turned 9m and it's impossible to give him any chunky food, he absolutely hates it. He vomits out everything if he finds anything chunky in his mouth. So everything has to be puree'd for him so he actually eats something rather than nothing.... i get stressed about it, but my husband keeps tellling me there is no human on this planet who hasnt learnt how to eat, he will get there when he is bit older... So yeah just being patient with him i guess...
Where do they get the time from to film and get dressed.. i can berly find time duribg the day to get a shower..
