Jose Canseco was the ultimate heel.
If you read anything about baseball history, I think you will find that Ty Cobb was universally hated, especially by the players.
A lot of the stuff that he was accused of doing he didn't actually do. He couldn't have been hated that much since he was the first player inducted into the hall of fame in 1936 and did so with 222/226 votes.
@@whereisspacebar2991You make a point tho
Rose should be in the HOF. There are so many players in the hall who have done much worse than Rose.
No he shouldn't. He broke a very obvious and simple rule.
I would say Rose is universally loved and respected as a baseball player on the field. This video focuses on his gambling addiction and tries to equate this to people hating Rose.
This is a terrible list. Pete Rose is not hated, most people quite like him and his hustle style of play. He earned the ban, but is not hated. Harper wears his emotion on his sleeve and plays with passion, but really not hated either. What about Trevor Bauer? Jose Altuve or any of the other Houston Asterisks (they still get booed and called cheaters all over the country)? Shoeless Joe Jackson?
I agree with Harper being a more-liked player these days and I believe I mentioned that in the video. Trevor Bauer has had some controversial moments however I don’t think he’s “hated” by many people. Jose Altuve could’ve easily made the list, you’re right about that.
Only Pete Rose fans like Pete Rose. I'm not a Pete Rose fan .
Where is Clemens?
pete rose got a raw deal
Shouldn't have bet on baseball.
Pete rose is banned but not hated. Harper is hardly hated now and was barely hated when he first came up. Harper was constantly looked at next to Trout. Compared to him yeah sure but that nationals team had a much more hated player than Harper: Papelbon.
Yep. Love Pete Rose. HOFer
Hate is a strong word, but I don't like the behavior of Pete Rose or Bryce Harper.
@@crackerjack9320he bet on baseball and his own team. That's a middle finger to baseball and fans. To be rewarded with that kind of life and take advantage of it that way? That's low and insulting.
Top hitter never fails to make me end my 5 hour edging streak
My reasons:
A rod just seems like a snake all around. I will say he seems like he’s definitely matured since then (but idk the guy so🤷🏻)
Harper just reminds me too much of that one bratty kid we all played with growing up, every team had one. And I’m a braves fan so when he got traded and most people became fans of him, I still hated him😂
Morgan: well… that’s obvious
rose: I don’t hate him as a player, I’ve just heard he’s a huge asshole to fans which I just can’t support (
Bonds: similar to rose. I don’t have as big of an issue with steroids as most do, because almost everyone else he played with/against were too. I hate him for everything else, dude is just an all around piece of shit human being
Arod definitely went through some character development. As much of a jerk as he was on the field, he’s actually a solid broadcaster now.
i never heard of the morgan guy but he is not mentally right. ivan rodriguez used steroids but nobody ever talks about that.
I'm a Mets fan. I don't hate Harper and would take him on my team any day.
No fan of Harper, but Strickland holding that for 3 years is so petty. Posey didn't try to stop Harper getting to him, clearly the rest of the team had moved on.
the sad thing about the most overrated player ever, Bryce Harper is, he plays hard, he hustles, he obviously wants to win. but for some reason the media overhypes him and has since he was first in sports illustrated. and fans buy into it.
i can remember being at a Phillies game where Harper went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts, twice having men in scoring position and failing. then in the 8th inning, he comes up and the Phillies are up on the mets 9-2 and harper hits ahomerun and fans start chanting MVP. when the game was still close he failed. yet when we were way up they chant mvp. Phillies fans used to boo Mike Schmidt the greatest Phillie and greatest third baseman ever. Phillies fans booed Ryan Howard, the premier homerun hitter for a few seasons. yet they love and cheer a guy that when he plays and isn't hurt, the Phillies actually have a worse record than when he is out of the lineup.
Oh come on Bryce Harper is freaking awesome
Agreed. One of the most fun players to watch!
@@TopHitter21he's my favorite MLB player imma Phillies fan
I think he's a spoiled brat but then again I'm a Braves fan
Chazz Harper-Harper
Pete Rose never bet against his team. Should be in the hall of fame!
4,200 hits is indeed an unbelievable accomplishment
N
Great video my man
Lol..570'😂
aaah...... actually..... enough 'piling on' Alex Rodriguez! please! here is a guy who cared about the public. he cared about the reporters. he always stayed in the locker room until the last reporter's question was answered. he never hid on a bad day. HE GOT A SUPER 'RAW DEAL' FROM THE COMMISSIONER OF BASEBALL (according to the MLB CBA [Collective Bargaining Agreement agreed to by the players, the owners, and the commissioner] that on a player's 1st offence of PED usage, the maximum penalty of a 60 game suspension must be exercised; on Rodriguez, his 1st offence was a 214 suspension, if I was his lawyer I would have taken this case to the Supreme Court)!!! and Rodriguez was chasing Babe Ruth's 714 Home Run Record! now, I AM not an Alex Rodriguez fan. I AM a baseball fan. please stop ripping the man as he is trying to get into the Hall of Fame.
A Rod was a habitual user and a liar. A Great player that didn't have to get on the juice to begin with, and a habitual liar when he got caught.
@@jupiteral8217 aaah.... actually..... excuse me for saying this, again, I AM not a fan of Alex Rodriguez! but, let me go on record, AGAIN, and say, "Alex Rodriguez was not a habitual user." Alex Rodriguez was on many occasions tested by Major League Baseball for PED usage! only one time (and let me repeat this VERY STRONGLY), ONLY ONE TIME DID ALEX RODRIGUEZ TEST POSITIVE FOR PED USE. sportswriters, FOR YEARS, without any physical evidence, have suggested he was, to use your phrase, ..."..... on the juice...."..... while physical evidence states otherwise! sportswriters 'gotta sell papers'. they, as you and I, have opinions. but, facts are a hard thing to change. opinions can be very strong (and I don't expect to change your mind) but facts are a difficult thing to change! the facts are: Alex Rodriguez tested positive ONE time, and the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) for baseball states, the first time offense for PED usage is a 60 game suspension! NOT THE 214 GAME SUSPENSION HE RECEIVED.
Nice ❤
4:42… way to back your man up. Cheap? Maybe, effective though.
Bryce wasn’t traded to the Phillies. He signed with them.
as a Phillies fan, to my everylasting disappointment. most overrated player of all time.
Bonds should never be in HOF.
Ty Cobb? Albert Belle?
I think people respect Rose for the way he played. He wasn’t a big guy or naturally gifted. He became one of the best through hard work, sheer grit, and determination. Charlie Hustle. Regardless of what happened after his playing days were over, you have to admire the guy.
I don't care what anybody says the MLB did Pete Rose wrong! He belongs in the Hall of Fame he's definitely one of the best players to ever play the game!
When Bonds dies young from all those drugs, and he will, no one will care. Nor should they. I think they call that KARMA.
