- In this interview Alex Lytwyn discusses a trip to Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada where he hoped to complete his Christmas shopping at the local Wal-Mart. Alex has cerebral palsy which makes trips like this an extreme amount of work compared to most people. He tells the story of this particular trip and how the Wal-Mart staff mistreated him and made this trip one of the hardest he has ever had.
This needs to go viral. Hey CBC / CTV, I dare you to cover this story. I won't hold my breath waiting for that.

What could have easily happened is for the other shoppers to immediately drop their purchases and walk out with Alex.
Many people cannot think for themselves though. But it would only have needed one to start the walkout.
I'm disgusted with Walmart. This is unacceptable and they need to be corrected and this man need to be compensated and apologized to. Grrrrrrrrrrr

All management and security need to be trained about exemptions. Hopefully, your story will force Walmart to train staff and security how to treat human beings.
Commenting on this from Australia. Thus is one of the most inhumane things I've heard of during these crazy times. I hope Wal-Mart goes broke on account of this. People there need to stop shopping there.

Alex I am so sorry you had to go through this. Unfortunately this is what we are all facing in Canada now. Low IQ security guards and low IQ managers who think it's ok to enforce ludicrous rules that they don't comprehend, created by low IQ government officials. And many people support this. I am 55 and have lived in Canada most of my life. I used to think Canada was a very good country. Not any more. But thank you for sharing your story. It's hard to imagine how your treatment could be justified, but it also wouldn't surprise me that many will try.

Hey Alex I’m from dauphin I have MD I won’t be shopping a Walmart anymore, and I hope this gets out cause there are allot of people with disabilities in dauphin that shouldn’t shop there ether.
