I used 5/16 brass rod from Amazon. Sands off easy and will polish.

I would have liked to see how to use the pins that were included with it… especially since there are no instructions in the kit.😢

I personally hate the little pins but I will try to do a video on them soon. Basically you have to drill a through-hole, then figure out the thickness of your finished piece, and then counter-bore the correct depth for the heads of the pins.
