As someone who’s watched ur channel for a long time, it’s really refreshing watching this cute vlogs! I’ve always been fascinated with like in NY from your perspective. All sides of you are great Rowena thank you for all that u do and share :)
a billion percent!!! i love how honest & real you are. you're the only channel i follow bc it's so rare to find someone so authentic, & also introverted and trying to get their life together but already seems like they have their life together and being real with how they're feeling and everything - cannot put it all into words in one take but just know your videos make me feel less alone & motivated to just keep going & trying. thank you!!!
As someone who's been so social lately, I crave alone time yet I've become so unfamiliar and even uncomfortable by having alone time. My goal is to get back into it while not going into pure hermit mode. Love you and your vids Ro and wish you the best!!!
You're totally right. Do what you love and genuinely want to do. It's hard especially for us overthinkers to just DO IT because we have so many what-ifs. We rationalize so much of our decisions that we forget to live in the moment of doing it. And this is just another mindset shift we've got to make so that our growth isn't hindered by our insecurities. Thank you for showing us how you get out of your comfort zone 💕
Sit down and talk videos are deep and beautiful. However, just because vlogs are a lot more mundane, does not mean they aren't deep. For example, Ro lives with so much intentionality, focus, and grace... so, even if it is a vlog and not heart to heart, one can feel the gusto and just the beingness. That is so beautiful. Yayy! excited for more vlogs to come!
For me, "doing more of what I love and less of what I don't" is really about remembering to be gentle and forgiving towards myself. Since I'm a perfectionist I tend to be very hard on myself when things don't turn the way I want them to, even when I'm doing simple things or working on my hobbies. So by being more gentle and judging myself less I can actually enjoy the things that I love in life and it has also taught me how to take better care of others. Ps: love your videos, I find them really comforting 💞
really loving the vloggg and I agree - not everything in life has to be deep and meaningful all the time. we enjoy this side of you just as much as we do your sit down chit chat videos. definitely excited for more vlogs to come! ❤
I needed something to relax and calm before sleep, got that scrolling anxiety... 😶 this was so perfect to unwind + chill to, feel like sometimes we don’t need to be so deep and introspective for in-the-moment healing 💜✨
✨ doing more of what I love = intentional relationship-building (quality one-on-one time or discipling others) & less wasted time browsing the internet/endless tiktok/IG scrolling and comparing myself with others.
doing more of what i love and less of what i don’t, to me, means more drawing, dancing in my own lil funky way, cooking yummy meals, and visiting with loved ones, and less of anything that distracts me from doing the things i love! love u rowena!! (and love yesstyle, huhue.)
Doing more of what I love and less of what I don’t has taken on so much meaning for me this year. I am learning just how much I tend to prioritize others over myself, which is a relatively good thing in moderation, but I have done it so much that I neglect my own happiness and well-being. It’s come to the point that prioritizing myself at all feels extremely selfish. So the doing more of what I love and less of what I don’t is all about boundaries for me right now. Feeling the freedom to say no, and taking time to figure out what I actually love. 🖤
I feel this so deeply in my core 🤭 you're doing amazing Morgan 💘 thank you so much for sharing. a little side note, congrats on winning the YesStyle giveaway hehe please shoot me an email (rowenatsai@gmail.com) with your YT username and I'll send over the rest of the deets~
@@rowena oh noooo I never got a notification for this comment! So sad... But it gave me a little burst of joy today to see that you responded to my comment (if you happen to see this haha).
For me it means spending more time in the present moment: taking walks, catching up with friends whether it's online or offline, going to a yoga class. Doing the things that gives me positive energy and leaves me feeling grateful
Doing more of what you love and less of what you don't is the fundamental step of self-care to me. Filling your life with what you are passionate about, what makes your heart swell and leaves you happy and content with your life. Life is too short to be swallowed up by toxic implications, stress, and worry. Prune what you don't need and nurture what you love and brings you joy.
your plants are so pretty! i have the opposite issue with vlogging, i have a harder time going deep cause im so scared of what people will think of my thoughts and opinions so i end up vlogging my day and showing everything im doing. im still scared of vlogging in public but im more scared of going deep. hope this makes sense
for me, doing more of what i love and less of what i don’t means really thinking about the “why” i do things and listening to myself, paying attention to my energy levels + gut feelings and how i feel mentally or physically. it means doing more of the things that replenish my energy as opposed to things that drain my energy, engaging in more of the activities that make me feel happy, fulfilled, or just better overall compared to those i do because of peer pressure/unnecessary obligation. it means taking better care of myself holistically and spending more time with people i love, setting my boundaries with people that hurt me. my holy trinity is 8+ hours of sleep (early to bed early to rise), water and exercise
Loved the vlog! 🧡 As a creator I understand how you feel about posting these type of videos that are more out of your “usual content”. But this video was still very much you. Speaking for myself and (probably) the rest of your community - we also simply love to get to know you better through different lenses and types of content 😌. Always here to support ✨.
Doing more of what I love means prioritizing the parts of life that do not relate to working, striving, or trying to attain “more” of anything. It means being happy with and utilizing what I have/where I am. In that sense being and attracting abundance ❤️
'doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' for me means that it’s also something almost fully under your control, doing what you love for your own good will bring you to the right places.
Doing more of what you love and less of what you don’t means to me that you honour what you truly need and learn to let go of the pressure we put on our sleeves to do things we think we need to. Sometimes it adding space in your life to do things that light you up like exciting work, or connecting with loved ones or doing things that dont feel comfortable in the shot time but will help with your growth in the long run or letting yourself just be and recharge even tho sometimes your logical mind tells you it isn’t productive or useful (and god knows i need that recharge time @introvert life haha) It’s like doing what your soul loves, what your wiser, more experienced, ‘higher’ self loves even what your inner child loves and doing less of what pulls your soul down. Ps thanks rowena your videos are so soothing, entertaining and beautiful. I’m so glad i found your channel, it was the high point and what got me through 2020! Luv u 🥰
honestly doing more of what i love and less of what i don't means self respect for me. in the past i didn't think there was value in my interests and thoughts, i didn't realize something making me happy is the value. now i know i deserve happiness and nobody else has to give their approval.
for me right now, doing more of what I love and less of what I don't means getting out of my head and stop analyzing whether or not I'm doing the "right" or "wrong" thing. because often, I want to do more of what I love but I feel obligated to do certain things that I don't love because I worry about if I'm following the right path or what people think of what I'm doing but I should just do what I love and that will be the "right" thing to do!
Doing more of what you love and less of what you don’t means a lot to me when it comes to growing as a person. I’m 21 and the past few years has definitely challenged me to grow in ways that I didn’t expect, but one of those ways is learning to align what I love with what I know is good for me whether it be for my happiness, mental or physical health. I’m an introverted little homebody who doesn’t have many friends, but even when one of those friends ask to hang out - in the past, I might just want to laze around at home where I didn’t have to worry about social anxiety or anything. But as much as I’m an introvert, I also have that extrovertedness (being that a lot of people are ambiverts) that loves hanging out with friends when I’m actually there and even though it can drain my social battery, it definitely makes me feel whole and happy when I see them. So it’s not exactly something I didn’t love to do, but I definitely stayed in my bubble. That’s just one small way I’m trying to grow, but on a side note: I want to say that you have also helped me a lot, so thank you. I’ve gone through something recently with a past relationship that was mentally abusive and some of your self care videos have really helped me. ❤️ also, hi 🙋🏻♀️ I’m in nyc too, okay I’ll stop rambling now...
ro! your vlogs are so.... refreshing. in the best of ways, it's such a beautiful dichotomy to see you at your most productive in one series, and so very wonderfully human in this one. fr fr. keep doing these. the day-to-day of your life is a breath of fresh air- you live with such depth. thank you for showing us. 🤍
As someone that has been depressed, has low-self esteem and total lack of boundaries most of my life, doing more of what I love and less of what I don't to me means having balance in life. It means not getting caught in the negative thoughts that my brain has normalized, but rather taking the time to appreciate the little things. It means taking every moment to grow into the best version of myself. It means singing while playing the guitar, cooking creatively, spending time with my friends & family and letting my inner child out. It means being myself in the most unapologetic way and not letting MYSELF get in the way. Most importantly, it means to have productive thoughts, being more self aware & reflect not only for yourself, but also for the people around you. This way you can thrive & and be a light in everyone's lives (including your own) while allowing others to do the same. Don't know if this really makes sense cause my brain is jumbled and it is 2 am and I can feel my eyes slowly closing as I am typing BUT hope you enjoy!!! :)
doing more of what you love and less of what you don’t means to me what i’m doing right now, searching for a job that I will feel fulfilled in and that means I can help people with the skills I have, this past year and a half has been tough and now more than ever I don’t want to feel helpless and like I’m just waiting for things to change, I need to get out there and find the job that will allow me to do what I love! I have a few interviews coming up which I’m really pleased about but I also want to make sure that I feel like I fit in those places too, its about more than just whether they want me, it also needs to be about if I feel it’s right for me too. More of seeking out what I feel is right for me and less about what other people think is right for me.
I like how you pepper in vlog videos on your channel. It's like a reminder that you're human and are multi-faceted. You can be deep and serious and still show the fun, unscripted side of yourself. It makes me take your serious videos more seriously because, in a way, I can trust what you say.
honestly was skipping through this vlog and stopped to listen when you sat down and shared about your insecurities and feelings on vlogging and diff types of videos. knowing the backstory i can appreciate the vlogs more. not my personal fave and i did find myself smiling. maybe i too need to have the fun and let some lightness in. not taking everything so seriously is also a challenge of mine. i usually come to your channel for the deep chats and life resets, creating effective rituals etc. this could be a change i didn’t know i needed. your sweet loving kindness keeps me coming back to the your channel whatever you post. as long as i keep getting hugs and smiles i’ll be content with your content hehe 🥰
For me, "doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' means to do things that bring me joy, no matter how big or small! I love reading, trying new cafes/coffee shops, and listening to podcasts, so I want to continue doing that because they fulfill me (: Less of what you don't is removing things from life that no longer brings me joy and instantly get bad vibes, like constantly checking my phone and social media, or spending money on things just for the sake of it.
doing more of what i love and less of what i don't means listening to what my body and mind needs, and putting it before what i think i should do, what society expects me to do, or what i think that might seem on trend or popular. being mindful of what makes my heart happy and full!
I'm starting to realize I'm not really an introvert because introverts choose to have solitude but they can socialize when they want to or have to. I'm more on the side of social anxiety at this point, I have isolated myself so much that I don't know how to casually socialize, I'm either quiet or I reach deep discussion about morality and philosophy, there's no in-between because I am way too anxious about saying the wrong thing or being awkward. It's either I am the quietest in the group or I talk about the weirdest things. Recently I am practicing how to play the part, in which I'd imitate the people I am around but be my true self when I am alone and free from the fear of judgment. Dunno how healthy that is but I have never experienced positive results when I am my true self around people before so I learned to keep it to myself.
that phrase envelops what im striving to achieve in this current season of mine. actually it is my life goal, periodt. someone who exudes all effort to get anything and everything done with a little hint of trying to perfect everything...it's hard to depict what should matter most to me and so long story short ive been in search of what i am truly passionate about and in not get myself all burnout cause sis time is too precious (especially at a time such as this!) dat is it! btw love you!
To answer the question of what *'doing more of what you love and less of what you don't'* means to me, is very complex ...thing. Because it could mean that you finally move out of your comfort zone and are not being chained to the idea of how others may perceive you 'wasting your time', or that you struggle and slowly find time to do things that you like and that make the vibes genuine rather than just monotonously working BUT above all (for me) it is a time to feel grateful for the little pleasures of life and a time to focus on yourself and practice a very ignored skill we all should have called self-empathy
doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' means discipline and instant gratification, I've practicing it these days and it helped me improve the best version of myself
I actually really enjoy your vlogs because I fell like seeing someone's life sometimes can be even more motivating than a sitdown video (which I still really love❤)
For me what doing more of what you love and less what you don't means is being able to let myself have fun sometimes. In this society it feels as though I have on a 24/7 grind to be "successful". Especially as a student it feels as though any off time should be used to studying and reviewing material and if I'm not it feels as though I'm not doing enough to get ahead. But I've learned it's okay to take a breather and pick back up things I enjoy while still getting important things done. *Also love ur vids!!💕
10000% agree with more play and less grinding for the sake of grinding 🥲 we got this booboo!! on a side note.. congrats on winning the YesStyle giveaway 😜 please shoot me an email (rowenatsai@gmail.com) with your YT username and I'll share all the deets with ya~
honestly vlogs in between the deep videos really help me keep being engaged with this channel. sometimes if there are too many dense videos in a row, and if I don't feel like thinking about very deep things, I feel a bit alienated and like I can't participate in what the community is up to. I don't know, maybe I somehow feel a bit insecure if I feel other people are up to deep things and I am not? anyway, vlogs help with that a lot - they help see the creator as a human being too, a human being who works hard but also gets rest. I feel like that is missing in a lot of other channels, so I really really appreciate you making these vlogs!
doing more of what i love means learning and researching more, no matter how random of a topic it is. doing less of what i don't love is not checking my emails and responding within the first 10 mins of waking up!! hope you're well rowena, I'll be moving to nyc in a few week!
I enjoy your vlogs- When I’m home alone and want some company, I like to play your videos. You’re the internet friend that is grounded, good hearted, and encourages self growth in a peaceful gentle way. I feel the same way! Keep it up Ro
Deep videos or vlogs, doesn't matter as long as it's one of your videos. Your authenticity radiates regardless and it is greatly appreciated. I love vlogs, but yours in particular don't leave me feeling lacking, like I'm not doing enough or have enough.
The lighthearted vlogs are a wonderful balance to the more serious videos. I personally love watching vlogs as lowkey as this one, the everyday clips are very human and refreshing and we learn more about you from your everyday moments ^^ We'll support whatever you decide! I clicked your video a couple years ago for productivity, but I stayed for ROWENA! :)
I really like vlogs because it’s really meaningful to see how a fellow overthinking introvert navigates daily life, how you take care of yourself and the little things you find joy in even if they’re not always with people etc. So I think there is hidden depth in vlogs too!!
I think vlogs have their own charm. It's calming in a different way and it gives balance sometimes with "deep" video vlogs. Showing ordinary and mundane stuff can be meaningful also especially with the pandemic. Looking at you doing normal stuff makes me kind of hopeful that us (countries still in lockdown) could go back to normal too. It's like having secondhand happiness. Secondhand post-lockdown experience. Hope u won't feel anxious about posting more vlog, ro!
doing more of what you love and less of what you don't... over the pandemic this has definitely been a forced active process of realization. it used to be more passive, figuring it out after the fact and feeling horrible becuase I was doing something I didn't like, or feeling good after doing something I like but never being ACTIVE about it. and that drained so much of my energy. I felt like I was never in the present moment, always either feeling the past, or worrying about the future. the pandemic forced me to slow down and appreciate the present moment by actively choosing to be where I am, do what i'm doing, at every given moment. it was a slow process (and it's an ongoing one!) of getting out of the habit of never focusing on the NOW... there are times when my anxiety wants to go crazy but the mantra of "I actively choose to do xxxxx now" definitely helps. no matter if i'm taking a break or doing something for work, it becomes something I love more when I know i'm giving myself time and permission to actively choose it.
doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' for me means that it’s also something almost fully under your control, doing what you love for your own good will bring you to the right places.
You say you don’t know how to vlog be seriously just your personality and editing skill makes it perfect, i loved this vlog !! Also if you feel that they are not deep enough taking a little time in the vlog to talk about a subject you care about or just a though you want to elaborate would solve that. Anyways i loved this video 🥰 sending much love
What doing more of what I love and less of what I don't means: It means not getting in my head too deeply. I can go through periods of time where I don't want to do anything (self-study for a career change, errands, taking care of myself by sleeping and eating) because I'm afraid that if I try, I'll fail, or I'll never have time for it all. I also avoid doing anything "fun" because it could turn out to be "a waste of time." I don't love how I feel when I neglect my goals and use avoidance behaviors as a mechanism to avoid my fears/things that make me uncomfortable or that may not turn out how I would've liked. So doing more of what I love means honoring my ambitions despite the self-doubt I may create in my head; it means recognizing that sometimes my thoughts will lead me to believe that getting out of my comfort zone will be painful, but knowing that in the long term these things can lead to growth.
'doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' means discipline and instant gratification, I've practicing it these days and it helped me improve the best version of myself
I can completely relate to needing to let yourself do things what you want to do instead of always thinking about what others will think as long as your actions don't hurt others. I personally like watching vlogs because it is nice to see how people live and also it is relaxing. To me doing more of what you love and less of what you don't means to stop listing all the things that I think I should do before I can finally do something that I want to do and just do what I want to do. I want to enjoy my life more instead of just passing my days unhappily.
i completely resonate as a youtuber about doing what makes you happy the ppl will watch or not but we should enjoy doing this and putting ourselves out there. I enjoyed your bike riding the most i felt like i was there . have a great day !
I really love this video. And I think it's deep because it's you being you. Which is so necessary for me , us. Thank you for being you & doing what you feel. We love you Rowena 💙
Rowena, I adore all of your videos, including the vlogs! I think that vlogs can be refreshing. I also think that it is very important to discuss the heavier topics, however, I think both have their place. This vlog helped me feel less alone. Thank you for your work 💕
I followed for the wise words and stayed for the vlogs!! I love seeing how other people live, and I feel like your videos have always had that very personal way about them ☺️
I absolutely love seeing a day in the life of Rowena! I love all your videos and I think vlogs though different might still have their place. It’s nice to see how everyone else’s lives their lives’
I really enjoy the vlogs! They are meaningful to me, seeing life in NYC, you being productive and living the life you want. It motivates me to achieve this for myself too!
Your vlogs are fun and relaxing for me to watch personally. And I think it’s important to do what brings you joy whether or not it is deep and meaningful like you mentioned
I loved it , and as soon as I saw the title, I said that's it! it's the kind of content I need now. Thank you for being real, honest and helpful. I hope everything goes very well for you.🕊️🤍✨
yesss vlogs are awesome! and as well if you feel like incorporating some of your deeper thoughts and musings you have throughout the week on the vlog that’d be super cool too :)) whatever you feel like you wanna make!!!
love your vlogs, Rowena!! It's so calming.. and it's nice to see the outside world right now, thru your lens.. since on our country, we are still trying to open the economy again. Love love!!
You are perfect the way you are and that is why we follow you. Vlog, sit down video, either one is fun, interesting and nice to watch. Keep up your good work. Love you!
Loved this Ro! Please make videos that you want to make - there will always be people interested in whatever you have chosen to share. Also, I think your inner joy and contentment with the content that you are putting out is far more important than what people think. Love you lots.
Recently, I've been having more meaningful conversations with the people I love and have seen my mood shift drastically. I've never really been much of a talker because it takes me a long(er than 'normal') time to get my thoughts straight and grew tired of hearing "well this is awkward" or just being talked over. I've also been slowly getting back into doing art and cutting down time spent distracting myself from my thoughts.
Vlogs are super interesting, and seeing this one brought quite a bit of joy. I think it's nice to see the more mundane/day-to-day takes on life from time to time. It can serve as a reminder that hey, not everything has to be work work work or all done perfectly all the time and serves as a nice outlet to exist for a bit and share that existence with others. Love your content!
For me, doing things that I love to do feel energizing and inspiring, while doing things I don’t love to do feel more like a chore. Sometimes, even the things I typically love to do feel draining after a while, so it’s all about being in tune with your body and spirit so you can fulfill your specific needs for that specific moment:)
I love your vlogs. I've been in lockdown for over 1.5 years and seeing you enjoying life and going out and all that makes me happy! In a way they really really help me not give up on life and get excited about life thru watching yours..if that makes any sense :) So pls continue doing em!
I can relate to you when you say, vlogs are not deep... I had this mindset where I thought watching vlogs are not exactly what I want to do just as I usually prefer to read non fiction books. But this pandemic has taught me a lot of things where now I watch vlogs and prefer to read fiction, because these are what carried me through this hard times. I still love serious meaningful contents, but maybe life isn't about everything serious all the time. 💜💜
i love yesstyle! what does "doing more of what you love and less of what you don't" mean to me: it means looking at the things i do - besides my job, which is non-negotiable - and deciding which activities do i actually like and feel good from? then cutting out things that don't really fulfill me. i found this meant cutting my screen time wayyy down and replacing it with journaling, exercise, cooking, goofing off, etc. other than that, rowena i wanted to know how having such a social weekend felt for you as an introvert!
My take about 'doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' is that don’t ever feel guilty about the things you love, even tho some people raise their eyebrows about it, loving the things you do is what makes your happiness. More than money, fame, or status :)
Since reading Marie Kondo' s first book years ago l took the spirit of the book to heart. I think of doing more of what I love, as things that spark joy, like creative output and time with friends. Things I don't enjoy are sometimes necessary, like cleaning the house! So I try to make it simple and quick so I can do less of it.
Rowena, You’re doing great! This video definitely helped me. I’m currently transitioning from a workplace that I’ve worked for over a decade to a new company, and am having trouble accepting my feelings and trusting the process. I like when you talked about just going through with whatever it is regardless of the outcome. Thank you.
I really love your vlogs! I love all of your content and do appreciate when you get deep but I think this offers more balance for lighter days/topics and then more introspective. I hope you enjoy them too and keep finding confidence in something new!
I found you through your vlogs and they are super helpful to me during tough times. Thank you for all of your content, Rowena!! Hope you have a lovely day ✨🌈💕
I love your vlogs! they are great for watching for when I don't have the mental space for heavy information (life changing stuff and things like that). i hope you keep making them!
Love seeing your vlogs as well as your usual deep dives. Like you said, not everything has to be deep. It's inspiring in its own way to see you talk about how the contents of the vlog are you pushing yourself in small ways; that's the best way to move towards changes after all!
I really like blogs because it makes me feel more connected and it feels relatable. It was nice for you to open up about your fears of vlogging, because I’m a new UA-camr and I’m vlogging in order to practice and put myself in front of a camera. So it comforts me to know that even with 500k+ subscribers, you deal with the same fears and it’s about pushing yourself to try new things and be authentic
i totally love vlogs! also love deep talks and all that kind of stuff-- and it's super okay to have insecurities! but you have such a warm and charming vibes! i truly believe that everything you want to show us will be pleasant to see just because it will be through your eyes and life-perspective. you may feel that is simple, but life should be simple from time to time! anyway, the most important thing... just have fun, Rowena! /huuuugs✨✨
Ro! You are great and it doesen't matter if it's a vlog or a deep talk. I watch it because it's you. But I do have to say that it is very nice to see a more relaxed you every now and then. Your personality really comes through in a different way and I enjoy seeing you be a bit goofy here and there 🤭🥰
hoping to take more time to really find out what, who, where, why, and how i love! i used to think that i knew exactly what it was that made me happy, and even then, i realized i didn't always make time for those things - especially hanging out with my friends and talking to loved ones in china :') in the past few weeks, i've been grappling with what it is that i have to do and what it is that i want to do, and i guess it's sort of hard to really find that middle ground that combines both. so i hope that i can find out more about myself, spend more time with loved ones, and do more soul searching, while still following through on my commitments and getting what has to get done (even if i don't love it :')) thank you for this vlog, rowena!! seeing u fully embrace ur inner introvert while also spending time with loved ones inspires me to do the same
i love your vlog type videos! i really enjoy seeing these daily life moments of going out to eat/seeing your friends etc. or even if you're just cleaning tbh LOL. it's very calming and it feels a little more intimate. i definitely think vlogs can get deep too, especially if you have something you really want to express :)
doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' This doesn’t mean you can avoid the things you have to do, but the things you have to do will take up a lot of your time, sometimes even all of it. While you may not be able to excuse the things you have to do, you can definitely make adjustments to the things you merely like or reducing guilt from the things you feel you should do and it means responsibility for me ❤
Doing more of what I love and less of what I don’t love means to me literally just doing what I want to do. If I wanna read a book for 2 hours, I will do so and enjoy it! I do what I want to do so I feel whole and complete and calm. I help others when I can and when I do I feel at peace. So doing more of what I love is to do what I want and helping others! Also, love all your outfits!
absolutely love this Kate :') thank you for the reminders! and also, congrats on winning the YesStyle giveaway!! please shoot me an email (rowenatsai@gmail.com) with your YT username 🎉
it's nice to see a vlog every once in a while ^^ it's a nice thing to unwind to. I'm taking off my makeup watching this and it's genuinely so relaxing.
Hi Rowena! "Doing more of what I love and less of what I don't" means to make intentional effort to prioritize things I actually like rather than just saying yes to everything everyone around me is saying -- basically exercising my boundaries. Also I really loved this vlog ☺️ Can't wait to see more!
I love watching vlogs🥰 especially day in the life with what I eat in a day too😋 most of the time I prefer being nosy and watching chill vlogs rather than deep topics of convo! Ty for making videos for us!!!💕💕
I cannot put into words how much I resonate with you! I used to vlog too but then my insecurities started to get the better of me and I kind of just….. stopped? This makes me want to start back again for my own happiness and not look at engagement or meaningfulness.
Nice to see you challenge yourself. "doing more of what you love and less of what you don't" means exploring and discovering new places/hidden gems in the neighborhood rather than going to the same routine routes.
As someone who’s watched ur channel for a long time, it’s really refreshing watching this cute vlogs! I’ve always been fascinated with like in NY from your perspective. All sides of you are great Rowena thank you for all that u do and share :)
I'd watch Rowena read the phonebook, honestly.
@@joshshortt9599 her voice is soooo soothing 🤧❤️

a billion percent!!! i love how honest & real you are. you're the only channel i follow bc it's so rare to find someone so authentic, & also introverted and trying to get their life together but already seems like they have their life together and being real with how they're feeling and everything - cannot put it all into words in one take but just know your videos make me feel less alone & motivated to just keep going & trying. thank you!!!
I love your deep talks but I also really enjoy when you talk about kdramas , vlogs , cooking .. so do what makes u happy 😍✨♥️
Love ur pfp
the smile she had for where she gets to place her bags, makes me realize that we can be happy for the smallest things, Rowena is so amazing.
*In the world we live in now it's hard to do this! Props to you for jumping outside that comfort zone!*
Palmtato approves of potato diaries. Want more
😎
I just love this woman and everything she creates !! Keep doing the stuff that you do , we need you , the world needs more people like you 💕🥺
i definitely am the type of person who likes to stick to my routine/hide in my shell. It takes A LOT out of me when I leave my comfort zone
Luv u 🥰
honestly doing more of what i love and less of what i don't means self respect for me. in the past i didn't think there was value in my interests and thoughts, i didn't realize something making me happy is the value. now i know i deserve happiness and nobody else has to give their approval.
doing more of what i love = taking initiative to make plans with good friends instead of being introverted and waiting for required plans to find me
for me right now, doing more of what I love and less of what I don't means getting out of my head and stop analyzing whether or not I'm doing the "right" or "wrong" thing. because often, I want to do more of what I love but I feel obligated to do certain things that I don't love because I worry about if I'm following the right path or what people think of what I'm doing but I should just do what I love and that will be the "right" thing to do!
Potato diaries is so fitting. 🥺
Yes! Thank you for sharing this with us. This version of you is just as magical as the thoughtful, deep Rowena we know and love.
honestly vlogs in between the deep videos really help me keep being engaged with this channel. sometimes if there are too many dense videos in a row, and if I don't feel like thinking about very deep things, I feel a bit alienated and like I can't participate in what the community is up to.
I also avoid doing anything "fun" because it could turn out to be "a waste of time."
I don't love how I feel when I neglect my goals and use avoidance behaviors as a mechanism to avoid my fears/things that make me uncomfortable or that may not turn out how I would've liked.
I enjoyed your bike riding the most i felt like i was there . have a great day !
really enjoyed this video , I hope you make more of these ✨😍
I really love this video.
I love seeing how other people live, and I feel like your videos have always had that very personal way about them ☺️
i love watching vlogs while i get ready for my day so PLEASE keep posting them i love listening to them in the background...kind of like podcast :)
I absolutely love seeing a day in the life of Rowena! I love all your videos and I think vlogs though different might still have their place. It’s nice to see how everyone else’s lives their lives’
i think that would be taking time to relax and remember what you used to do for fun as a child, going back to try these things from time to time
I really enjoy the vlogs! They are meaningful to me, seeing life in NYC, you being productive and living the life you want. It motivates me to achieve this for myself too!
u do u
I enjoy both vlogs and sit-down videos. I love being able to see both sides of Rowena and being able to enjoy both videos!!!!
In a way they really really help me not give up on life and get excited about life thru watching yours..if that makes any sense :)
So pls continue doing em!
💜💜
To me doing what more of what you love means, prioritizing your health, your peace and setting boundaries to do so!!🤍
i love yesstyle! what does "doing more of what you love and less of what you don't" mean to me: it means looking at the things i do - besides my job, which is non-negotiable - and deciding which activities do i actually like and feel good from? then cutting out things that don't really fulfill me. i found this meant cutting my screen time wayyy down and replacing it with journaling, exercise, cooking, goofing off, etc.
other than that, rowena i wanted to know how having such a social weekend felt for you as an introvert!
Rowena,
You’re doing great! This video definitely helped me.
I’m currently transitioning from a workplace that I’ve worked for over a decade to a new company, and am having trouble accepting my feelings and trusting the process. I like when you talked about just going through with whatever it is regardless of the outcome.
Thank you.
Honestly I just love seeing your videos, vlog or deep talks I just love the energy you radiate 💗💕
*vlogs oops
i totally love vlogs! also love deep talks and all that kind of stuff-- and it's super okay to have insecurities! but you have such a warm and charming vibes! i truly believe that everything you want to show us will be pleasant to see just because it will be through your eyes and life-perspective. you may feel that is simple, but life should be simple from time to time!
anyway, the most important thing... just have fun, Rowena! /huuuugs✨✨
Ro! You are great and it doesen't matter if it's a vlog or a deep talk. I watch it because it's you. But I do have to say that it is very nice to see a more relaxed you every now and then. Your personality really comes through in a different way and I enjoy seeing you be a bit goofy here and there 🤭🥰
hoping to take more time to really find out what, who, where, why, and how i love! i used to think that i knew exactly what it was that made me happy, and even then, i realized i didn't always make time for those things - especially hanging out with my friends and talking to loved ones in china :') in the past few weeks, i've been grappling with what it is that i have to do and what it is that i want to do, and i guess it's sort of hard to really find that middle ground that combines both. so i hope that i can find out more about myself, spend more time with loved ones, and do more soul searching, while still following through on my commitments and getting what has to get done (even if i don't love it :'))
thank you for this vlog, rowena!! seeing u fully embrace ur inner introvert while also spending time with loved ones inspires me to do the same
i love your vlog type videos! i really enjoy seeing these daily life moments of going out to eat/seeing your friends etc. or even if you're just cleaning tbh LOL. it's very calming and it feels a little more intimate. i definitely think vlogs can get deep too, especially if you have something you really want to express :)
doing more of what you love and less of what you don't' This doesn’t mean you can avoid the things you have to do, but the things you have to do will take up a lot of your time, sometimes even all of it.
