I actually appreciate you maintaining character integrity and it really does keep the magic alive. I remember as a child going to Disneyland Paris lots of characters breaking character, for example telling us where they were from, and that did spoil things for me. I know I was very disappointed when Aladdin just started having a 'normal' conversation with my mum about what it was like to work for Disney. I have a feeling Paris is not as strict as America.
It's so crazy how easily you can connect to a movie and how much it can change your life. When I visited Disney World the other week, I cried meeting Joy and Sadness because they meant so much to me. Inside Out came out when I was going through a hard time with depression and anxiety and it just seemed to really help me. I'll cherish that interaction forever because when I told them, they both made it incredibly special. It felt so real and magical, it was so amazing. Character integrity really helps and Disney does such a great job.
What a beautiful story!! That movie came out soon after my uncle was killed, and at first I didn't like it. But I realized I didn't like it because it made me feel really sad and I was at a time where I was trying to not be sad even though my entire being was trying to mourn. I absolutely love that movie now. I feel like so much of society tells people that they have to be perfect, and happy and put together all the time (and some of the Disney movies do too). I think it is so wonderful that Disney created a movie like Inside Out because it helps both kids and adults alike feel ok expressing their emotions in a healthy way! I've dealt with anxiety and depression as well, and the worst part is trying to tell yourself to get over it. I would get so frustrated that I just couldn't snap out of it. But now I've realized what it is and I've accepted it when it comes. Thank you so much for sharing your story, I think it illustrates the importance of character integrity in such a beautiful way!
I remember sitting in the theatre just crying when family island crashed because to me that was the most heartbreaking part, and then of course I cried towards the end. It was one of the first times that I actually felt comfortable talking about my experience with depression and anxiety. I went in thinking it was going to be relatively cheesy (but still funny and good) and I was completely impressed with how they did it! It's definitely up in my top three. I agree, it was so hard trying to get myself to just "not feel it" or "snap out of it." Now, I openly talk about it because I know that it's nothing to be ashamed of. It happens and I can get through it, we all can. You'e welcome! Thank you for creating these videos, they absolutely always put a smile on my face!
@@mackenzhughes I need to ralk about why the Solo movie was such a big disappointment it's because the script was bad the plot just fell apart it started off well but then crashed like two corellion ships slaming into each other hard the Disney company messed it up and did not fix and remake the movie they didn't consider how fans will feel about Star Wars characters I've got nothing against Disney but they are not doing good with Star Wars it's rating are plummeting the only thing the company was concerned about was the money lost on that Solo movie very upsetting some people were in tears over the death of Han Solo because that Star Wars universe belongs to the fans nit just one person we don't own characters or people we like and appreciate them oh and Kenzie you can say whatever it is you want it's a free country and also your videos are cool
I love your energy and love for Disney. I've always felt awkward meeting a Disney character , I didn't want to be judged for being older. But now I want to go back and meet my favorite princess.
That is so wonderful to hear!! I know when I met characters when I was a teenager I felt so uncomfortable, but it was really cool seeing it from the other side. It made me realize it wasn't weird at all, and we had adult guests all the time!
So I just started working for Legoland and though they are not as strict as Disney, I am so used to Disney standards (just as a fan) that I will be super careful about what I say on social media.
Congrats!! Honestly I think it's a good idea for any job, even the girls that are party princesses! It shows both respect for the role and the company as well (even Legoland in your case!). :)
I'm so glad you can relate!! It's something that I've experienced my whole life so it was kinda challenging to try to explain it. I'm glad it made sense!
You're such a good person and I really admire that about you. A lot of people would just be like "screw it, I don't work for them anymore, here's the tea" but you can tell you are passionate about it and it's great that you "fight" for the good side if that makes sense. This also really helped me understand your point of view (and probably that of a lot of others) on performers posting pictures and videos of their on-the-clock friends. Keep up the good work dear
Did you ever have guests ask you if you 'played a princess' while you were working as an attendent or a non-performer role? I've had several guests come up to me and ask whether I'm such and such character when I'm 'not doing this job', and I haven't come up with a response that I really like that maintains character integrity.
kenziemacbrown thanks for replying! I’ll be there October 14 for my birthday so I want to look a little glam but also comfortable so that my makeup wont budge! Lol
I’m not Kenzie, lol, but I do go to Disney World about once a month. My main tips are to prime prime prime (your face and eyelids) and don’t wear any heavy full coverage makeup. Your face will feel and look like it is melting off. I typically wear a tinted moisturizer or a single layer of BB cream and spot conceal any acne scars. Powder products like blush, bronzer, eyeshadow, etc will all be fine with the primer!!!
Hi Makenzie, I always really like watching your videos, especially on Disney. That Titanic comment, though, just turned that strong like feeling straight into love❤️⛴️🌹
I do want to see another video like this! I also can't wait to see your makeup tutorials for Halloween! Funny enough, I'm even more nervous to meet the characters than I would be to meet the performers. Lol. "Suspend your disbelief" is the phrase I think you're looking for at 5:02. Great video!
So well put, Kenzie! There's a lot to admire about all the talented folks who help make magic happen in Disney Entertainment, and the company as a whole really! ✨
Wow I LOVE your Disney videos. I'm totally inspired now to go work for Disney when I'm older!! Your so inspiring darling, thanks for everything!! 💛 (also, you in that lipstick is totally making me see you as Snow White!)
A question springs to mind - what about fourth-wall-breaking characters like the Genie, or Merlin from 'Sword in the Stone'? Surely it'd be appropriate for them to make modern references? That's kind of their thing anyway, so it's not like they'd be breaking character.
Oh wow I’m so glad I found this video of yours because I’ve heard you use this phrase multiple times in your videos and I have never been 100% sure of the meaning! Thanks for explaining 💓😛
I'm glad it made sense! I made it in part because I would get SO many questions in the beginning asking for an Ariel makeup tutorial or questions that would break character integrity. So that way if I got questions in the future I could just redirect them to this video! Haha but I'm glad it made sense, I know it can be kinda confusing!
Thank you so much! Honestly it would just feel weird if I didn't, I just got so used to doing it for my job it would be hard for me to break down the magic after building it up for so long!
I want to thank you so so much for this video. I grew up going to Disneyland twice a year until I was 15 and character interactions were always my favorite. But when I was about 21, I was visiting Pixie Hallow with my teenaged sister and one of the pixie friends (I really forgot who it was now) completely broke character and seemed very confused why two adults were visiting Pixie Hallow. Ever since then I have felt really, really awkward about character interactions and I’ve always either made it as brief as possible or avoided them altogether. So I really just want to thank you for this and that now I know there is actual training and protocols and I’m not some weird annoying adult that Pixie made me feel like I was for wanting to enjoy some Disney Magic and interact with characters.
I just bought the lashes and I've worn them like three days in a row already! Haha they're the Girl Boss lashes from Tarte!! And I'm also obsessed with the lipstick. I just love makeup, I have a problem! Haha
How the heck do you only have 15K subscribers?! Wtf your videos are amazing and so high quality and you're so beautiful and interesting you deserve 1 million what the heck you're so underrated it's insane ❤️ love you girly
I love how much character integrity means to you and I think you respect it perfectly! My question Is what would Ariel do if a guest is constantly touching them and trying to break her character?
It scared me when I came across someone on youtube a couple weeks ago that bluntly said "When I was Belle." I was like WOAH! I've never worked for the company and I always make sure to do character integrity with my photos in social media. Such a great video!
Depending on the park or when they were trained it could be that it wasn't as heavily stressed for them as it was for when I was working there! Honestly I wouldn't even feel comfortable making my videos if I was still working there, just because you're so easily replaced that you try hard not to do anything that could potentially get you fired. But I know some parks vary in how much they value certain rules so it could just be that performer wasn't trained the same way. I appreciate you practicing character integrity though! For me it's definitely more of a respect thing for both my job and for the company!
oh wow, interesting! oh wait! I do know someone that worked on the cruise line and was friends with one of the princesses and never was at the parks (at the parks she was friends with Tink, Alice & Wendy).
maybe. I think it's a little unfair though, because they talk so much about height requirements BUT if you're a favorite then they'll allow you to be two complete different height ranges of characters.
Thank you so much for such a touching beautiful video. It truly made my day and made my love for such amazing characters grow. Also, I love your makeup look! It's so pumpkin perfect! :-)
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! Does anybody else think that it would be absolutely adorable if she did an outro like "Have a Disney day!" on her videos or is that just me? Just me? Okay. It's just you're one of the most adorable and wholesome humans alive.
Wow, thank you for this wonderful and very interesting video!😍 I am so grateful for Disney Performers who are the most talented people in that world! Even if I know that this is "true people" wearing a costume, when I am in front of them I only see my beloved characters that I love and admire so much since I am a little girl (or for a few weeks if thery are from a new Disney movie), and I am the most happy person when I am talking to them and hugging them! This is the magic of Disney!🎆They are the reason for which I wake up every morning and falling asleep with a smile on my face every evening💖. They mean so much for me, I love them more than everyone and than everything and even if I've never talked about that to them, they have cured me of my illness and they still help me when I feel bad because they are always in my heart and in my spirit and when I can meet and greet them in real, this is the ultimate honor for me! And each time a friend tells me she would prefer meet a celebrity of the "real world" rather a Disney character I am like "...Whaaaat??? Are you serious, girrl???"😁 Last friday I was in Disneyland Paris and one more time I spent one of the most marvelous day of my life thanks to my lovely characters💕💕. And now I miss them so much and I'm just waiting for the next time I will see them again😢❤. So thank you again for this awesome video, it moved me a lot! Have a wonderful continuation, xo!💜
Ok you really look exactly like Snow White in this one lol. All you need is the bow. I am so happy u did a video on this because I wanted to learn more about this topic. 💕
you have the sweetest face ever like you look like the nicest person on the planet every time i watch one of your videos i always think about how nice u look while you talk since you always smile so wide and !!!! wow you’re so pretty n seem so sweet keep it up baby
2 Questions: 1) How does Ariel go back and forth between her fins and legs? Obviously you can meet her with both at the park. What is the explanation you gave? 2) I plan on giving my future child a gift from a Disney character (ex. a plushy seashell says "From: Ariel"). How do I pre-inform the character of what "they" did so they can be in on it? Do I talk to the attendant or the character or what should I do???
Well you never meet Ariel with both fins and legs at the same time, that'd be weird. Maybe when she isn't in her grotto she likes to take a walk sometimes. Ariel is the only mer-person whose fins change between legs and fins, making them adaptable.
I'd definitely suggest letting the character attendant know privately prior to getting to the character themselves, so they can let them know beforehand without making it super obvious
Ariel's father has the ability to turn her into a mermaid or a human, so if anyone ever asked she would just tell them that. Technically speaking, characters aren't allowed to give gifts to kids. When I was a character attendant I experienced a situation where a parent tried to give Tinkerbell this necklace to give to their child. The parent had purchased the gift, and they simply just wanted it to appear like it was coming from Tinkerbell to make it special. To make it even more emotional, the child had lost a sibling and the whole family really connected with the Tinkerbell movies when it was happening and so Tinkerbell had become a huge part of their healing process. Although they had a beautiful story, the characters still can't appear to be giving gifts to kids because of character integrity. The kid in the family behind them doesn't understand what's going on and will be upset when Tinkerbell doesn't give them a gift too. So it's 100% understandable why families would want to make it appear like kids are getting gifts from characters (because it would immediately create a magical moment), but it creates an unfair situation because it appears the character is showing favoritism when they're not. I hope that makes sense! I think your question might be slightly different though, but I wanted to explain that just in case. If your child had a gift at home and asked the character about it, the character should be able to think of a story related to it. With the seashell plushy example, Ariel might say she found that seashell while she was on a treasure hunt with Flounder. Ariel shouldn't have a problem talking about items in humans' collections (especially since she loves collecting things herself), but I did want to let you know that the characters really aren't allowed to present gifts to people and make it appear that the gift is coming from them. They could always say "your mom got this for you and wanted me to give this to you" but they can't say "I found this for you and wanted you to have it". Sorry for the long explanation, but I hope that makes sense!
oh nooo i feel so bad i just realized now, four years later, why none of the disney characters would dab when my family asked them to dab I FEEL SO GUILTY AAHH IM SORRY PLUTO
Love this. I cried when I met Ariel in Florida and I didn't actually expect to 😂 I'm glad I did though. It's a memory that will be vivid forever and I enjoyed it so much. Are you still working at Disney at all?
Mickey and the others simply live in a pocket dimension parallel to ours. And the characters just simply make a quick change of clothes and make a mad dash to, say, the Garden Grill or The Star Wars Weekends character spots. ;) They have fitting rooms like at Torrid, Bon-Ton and Sears. And Minnie sometimes grows out her hair, which is brunette.
I think people want to be "in the know" with Disney either because it gives them some sort of status because Disney IS so secretive, or because they want to connect more deeply with the magic by knowing how the strings are pulled, which I realize is counter-intuitive. And some people are just terrible and want to destroy the company. For me, I love magic, and I also love knowing how the trick is done. Knowing doesn't ruin the magic for me. That said, I would never expose a secret to magic that I shouldn't, either because it would ruin it for others, or because there is a high risk of getting sued (which you are absolutely right about; Disney would own your life). Just some thoughts rattling around. I adore your vlog and I appreciate your character integrity.
I agree! Somehow after knowing the ins and outs I actually find Disney more magical than I did before! But honestly, after spending time creating magic for people, it would just feel really weird to flip a 180 and expose all of it on the internet. I took pride in my job and performers are generally proud to bring the magic to life. It's not like we don't expose our jobs only because we want to keep them, but overall people are proud to keep the magic alive. I mean not everyone's like that, but overall I would say people choose to keep the magic alive rather than feeling forced to.
@@mackenzhughes Oh, totally. I have a lot of proprietary information belonging to various companies rattling around in my brain but I would never share it, even if there wasn't the threat of being sued. I'm not that kind of person. I appreciate your overall integrity and I honor you for it.
I love these videos!! Your Disney videos are so informative and fun, and they make me so excited to work at Disney in the future!!! Also: what lashes are you wearing?? They're so prettyyy
I love your videos! You're so energetic and seem so happy and sweet. And I have a question too, do you know if you can have glasses as a performer or do they have to wear contact if you are a face character (is that what's it called? ) because the original character doesn't wear glasses?
Thank you! You're so sweet! They do provide colored contacts if you need them for your role, and you wouldn't be able to wear glasses as a face performer since none of the characters wear glasses. I don't believe they would provide regular contacts though, just colored contacts if you needed them. You probably could wear glasses as a fur performer though!
This may be an odd question but, do performers keep character integrity while talking to family and extremely close friends? For example, are you allowed to talk about your day and what happened or can you only refer to the character having, for instance, "a good day" or "Ariel got lots of hugs". Thank you!
+Brianna Italia I talk pretty candidly when I’m talking with someone in person! I would practice character integrity when I was on set (obviously), when I was visiting the parks as a guest, or if I was somewhere with strangers in the near vicinity. And on social media where it’s public. In private conversations I don’t practice character integrity, it was just more in public situations.
Speaking of Snow White, I personally think that she is the hardest Princess to learn the voice for. I've never even attempted it, but it must take weeks to train your voice to get up that high and to keep it that way. I think I'd be better at Belle, Mulan, and Moana, voice wise, anyway. I don't live anywhere near the Disney parks, so I wouldn't be able to play a Princess in the parks, but maybe I can learn their voices before I go visit again hopefully in the future.
Do you have any make-up ideas for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year? You can give tutorials on those. And by the way, I character integrity also means there are people disguised as characters and guests would immediately call them character names. My friend and I thought the characters were real before but they're not. But we still wanted to have pictures with them. And, I think the similar integrity situation occurred when I was a summer teacher for first graders and was called "Teacher Ramon" at the time. But you still have very good advice with society and situations coming along! :)
Thank you so much katie!! I'm glad you liked it! I'm sure it won't be the most popular topic but I felt like I brought it up in enough of my videos I probably should make a video on it!
Thank you so much for making this video! I've been pretty confused as to the guidelines of character integrity. A lot of these things seem to be at a certain popular performer on UA-cam 😂😂
+Mad Spe they’re not directed at anyone specifically. The examples are from what I noticed from multiple people both on UA-cam and in person. I had a performer friend who had been with the company for a decade and had posted pictures of her character as her profile picture several years ago which is a HUGE no-no now! With her specifically you could see that change in what she posted and how she posted photos of her character on social media. I drew a lot from personal conversations I would have with people or fellow performers. I don’t believe all cast members were trained the same way at all the parks or over the years when it comes to character integrity. I thought it was important to note in case people did notice any differences ☺️
Oh definitely! Social media was still semi-private even just a few years ago. But now it seems like it's more accepted to have public accounts which definitely affects character integrity. Obviously in person or in private conversations I don't feel the need to practice it, but since my social media channels are so public I feel like I have to treat it more carefully.
also i have a question! when i went to disneyland in march i met ariel for the first time and i cried! she means so much to me and idk i just got so emotional aha! when you were hanging out with ariel or any other friend, did they find it weird or uncomfortable, or sweet when guest came to them crying aha! even if they were a 15 year old girl lol💜
Oh my gosh that's so sweet! I never thought that was weird at all! I think one of the sweetest memories I experienced was seeing an woman in her 40s start crying when she got to meet Ariel. And I don't think Ariel thought it was weird either :)
kenziemacbrown ahh perfect! i always get a little emotional when i meet characters bc it’s just a magical moment for me! but with ariel it really got me bc she’s my favorite disney princess of all time and she means so much to me!!
kenziemacbrown That would help me so much !! I’m planning to go to Disney world for my birthday in December but I always have the hardest time finding out what to wear
Hi!! I'm SUPER interested in the Keys to the Kingdom tour at Disney world... I know the guests go in the tunnels or something and they see some less magical things. Can you tell me anything about that tour? I haven't been able to find any videos on it:(
I don't know much about it, I just know a lot of performers weren't the biggest fans of the tour. When they go to Epcot they'll go through cosmetology where the performers are getting ready. It kinda feels like a smack in the face because it's blatantly breaking character integrity, which we're trained to uphold but the company will expose if they can make money off of it. But when they go to magic kingdom they'll walk through the tunnels, I'm not sure what they talk about. I think it's just like a general tour showing where everything is.
Hey kenziemacbrown! I started to watch your videos and I can say that I love watching them! I am in my last year of middle school and it is my dream to go to the Disney College Program just as you did to become a character attendant or a character performer. Your videos inspire me to strive towards that goal and I am so thankful! Also, what is the best way to raise money for a Disneyland (California) trip for a club that was created in school? I love your videos and thanks for keeping the magic of Disney alive and inspiring me to follow my dreams! (please respond) :)
Thank you so much Adriana!! I think having goals to work towards are so great and really helps keep me motivated! To be honest I've never fundraised for a Disney trip for a club before, so I'm not totally sure! Depending on the club I bet you could do fundraisers like auctions, car washes, selling concessions at school events. I would talk to the administration at your school, they might have some great fundraising ideas too!
I had my DCP Character Performer Audition on Monday and unfortunately I got cut immediately. I believe it’s because of my height I’m 5”7. A lot of people my height got cut immediately. I know it’s nothing I can change but I’m sad still. :(
I think it's so easy to take it personally, especially when you're being compared to other girls! From what I can tell, there are 6 big factors that go into getting picked: height, size, looking like the character, looking like other performers, being able to animate/dance, and there being a need for the character. So you could actually be in the right height range, be able to animate and be the right size, AND look like the character, but if you don't look like the other performers at the time OR if there's not a current need for that character you could get cut! So don't discredit yourself for your height, it might not be that! Especially since I think 5'7" is still in the height range - I would be more concerned if you were 5'10"!
This makes me wish actors would do meet and greet kind of things in character. Because I know for a fact I would absolutely love to hang out with Dean Winchester, jam to some classic rock, eat a bunch of pie, and talk about how beautiful Cas is. xD
As a performer, how were you able to get pictures of the characters you were hanging out with? What great memories to get to keep, but curious how you would manage to get a hold of them! Thanks :)
Hi, I just discovered your Disney videos and appreciate them! I was wondering if you ever addressed somewhere about how long your worked for and why you didn't renew / reaudition? I am also wondering if there is like an age limit but you still look so young, so maybe there were any other factors as to your length of employment.. thank you!
I worked for the company from September 2015 - December 2015 as a character attendant and from January 2016 - June 2016 as a performer. I didn't need to renew/reaudition, you don't need to do that after you've been hired. I discuss why I left the company in "My Disney Story" video more towards the end. I talk about "age limits" in my "Disney Myths" video (which also goes along with other factors for length of employment). But in general, I do feel like "age" is the biggest factor, but it's not a certain number, it's more on how you wear your age. Like I've known someone to be "aged out" at 24, and someone at 32 who's still performing. So its a person-by-person case!
What do you recommend for when to do the college program?(: Im a Junior but will be in college a bit longer because Im getting my masters at the same time as my undergrad. Would love to know your thoughts more and be able to discuss it!!!!
Honestly, whenever you think it's best for you! I know that's not the best answer, but I'm very thankful it just happened to work out so well. I would say wait to apply until you're a senior and you can do it after you graduate, but if you don't get in you won't have any more chances to apply so that's kinda risky. If there are online classes you can take while you're doing the college program I would definitely do that! That way you are utilizing your time wisely and it won't make it take longer for you to graduate. I took all of my random classes my freshman and sophomore years of college, which is a bummer because I had to take my core classes (that I couldn't take online) my junior and senior year. If you still have random electives you can take, I would try saving those. Typically there are more online options for those classes and then you could take those classes while you do the program. I hope that makes sense! It worked out super well for me but I feel like I got pretty lucky. If I had saved more electives classes for when I was a junior or senior I could've easily taken "random" online classes while I was doing the program.
I have two questions! The first is, I have a nose piercing but when I take out the jewelry the hole is virtually invisible, I think I would still be able to be cast. Do you think I should take the nose jewelry out for my audition? Second, there is an audition coming up where they said they’re looking for Cinderella, aurora, and jasmine...I don’t think I resemble any of these characters but if I were to go could I still be cast as another character or are they strictly looking for those 3 and none others? Thanks!!!!
Yes, I would definitely take out the piercing. If it doesn't look like you have one when it's out they might not notice it, but they would definitely notice it if it's in and they would probably cut you for it. Just because you don't think you resemble those characters doesn't mean the casting directors don't see you as one of those characters! I would've NEVER seen myself as my character, but once I put on the costume and everything I could totally see it! Also they were "looking" for like 6-7 different characters at my audition, and they picked me as a character they didn't list. So they could also pick you as a character they didn't list on the audition calendar!
If you post pictures on Instagram or Facebook of that particular character you're friends with saying please comment to such and such.... My friends who were in entertainment at Disney always respected the integrity..... What about the Princess interacting and taking pictures with each other...Is that also breaking integrity as well? Well probably not now because the Princess are interacting and chilling with each other on Ralph Breaks The Internet lol!!!!
Say MacKenzie, do you know the Elsa lookalike, Anna Faith? Well, she made people think the character was real by disguising as her, but a few years later, she just said her real name and ended up being a cosplayer; and I thought this would be character integrity.
I feel like with me, if Moana does get an official Disney coronation and becomes an official Disney princess, I won't be able to see the character performer as Moana because to me, Auli'i Cravalho aka the voice actress for Moana is the only Moana there is. But with every other Disney princess, I've never looked into who their voice actress is so I'd be totally fine meeting Belle, Ariel, Merida, etc. at Disney. And they would be the real princesses in my eyes. (Also I highkey hope that Megara is at Disney because she is my ultimate favorite non-Disney Princess lead female and if I ever got the chance to go to Disney I'd love to meet her.)
Charmynox I am the same with Elsa and Idina Menzel. If anyone other than Idina is playing Elsa in a show or in the parks, I'll just get really mad. I just ignore Elsa face characters when they come up online, to me they are not Elsa, and they never will be, they are not Idina. Though I still feel like I just want to tell the face character how much Elsa has helped me. I'm kinda torn there. I could never meet Idina, I'd melt! I'm also... very different and I could never expect Idina to magically have the understanding that most people do not have.
Haha to be honest I'm not sure because I drink drip coffee like every day. I over-bleached them when I was in middle school and I can't use teeth whitening products anymore because my teeth are so sensitive now. I'm actually pretty surprised that they're as white as they are, but all I use is regular toothpaste. I think a lot of it has to do with me actually over-bleaching them to the point where they were starting to get damaged. They look great in photos, but unfortunately they're pretty sensitive!
I suppose if Disney had a specific policy over that, what they wanted is to prevent employees dragging attention to themselves using their characters. Companies always fear that others may profit from their stuff. Now with social media plenty of videos about them, that may have changed a little. Sometimes a good viral can be the best promo.
Just because you don’t say who you were though it’s still very obvious. I mean even in the thumbnail we can tell which one is you lol. I just don’t see how it’s valid because wouldn’t character integrity mean you wouldn’t know at all?
"Can I play with you?" - me to a Lego character
You definitely have a natural Disney princess voice lol I LOVE IT!!! I can actually hear Ariel’s voice just being honest❤️
When I visited Disneyland I cried when I met Cinderella! Disney does an amazing job! It was a very special day.
I've definitely cried meeting characters before too!
When you started talking about being connected to characters even though they aren't really there is me to a tea. Thank you Kenzie.
Hey Kenzie! Can you make a video on what makeup you would wear to Disneyland that is long lasting?
That's a great idea!! It was definitely a challenge at first making sweat proof makeup living in Orlando that's for sure!
kenziemacbrown thanks for replying!
Haha thanks Ariana! Titanic is one of my all time FAVORITE movies!
SUCH a smart video!!!! and you explained everything so well!!! xo
Thanks Erika!! :)
You are so sweet, thank you so much Leila!!
Great video! I really admire how you still keep up character integrity even though you don't work for the wdc anymore! Love your videos 😊
Thank you so much! Honestly it would just feel weird if I didn't, I just got so used to doing it for my job it would be hard for me to break down the magic after building it up for so long!
Her intro to every video literally makes my day better
Girl your LASHES I am obsessed! I also think I'm going to go buy that lipstick now it's perfect for fall!
Honestly your like an angel thankyou for all ur videos!
You are such a sweetheart, thank you so much! I love making them, and it makes my day when people like watching them too!
Your joy and smile are so refreshing! Stay beautiful! Really enjoy watching you!! 💜 💜 😊
Thank you so much Kiara, you are so sweet!!
Britt Renee ncdjskske
kenziemacbrown she works/worked on the cruise line
oh wow, interesting!
Hey! I just wanted to say I LOVE your videos! You’re a great UA-camr and you really helped me with my character skills for shows I’m doing! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so SO much!! That is such a huge compliment! I'm glad you can share in my love for performing too! :)
And I cannot wait for the live action films coming up, they're going to be great!
Thank you so much for such a touching beautiful video. It truly made my day and made my love for such amazing characters grow. Also, I love your makeup look! It's so pumpkin perfect! :-)
I'm so glad you liked it!! Thanks Anne!
I love your videos so much!!! I’ve always loved Disney and I love your story time videos!💗
Thank you so much Anna Kate!!
kenziemacbrown 💗💗
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!
Does anybody else think that it would be absolutely adorable if she did an outro like "Have a Disney day!" on her videos or is that just me? Just me? Okay.
It's just you're one of the most adorable and wholesome humans alive.
Awww thanks Emma! That's a fun idea!
kenziemacbrown thank you! I’ve been watching you nonstop whenever I get the chance lately btw.
I love these Disney videos!! Watching them is the highlight of my day!!!! Love you!! ♡ ( :
You're so sweet! Thanks Liv!
kenziemacbrown xox
Your makeup look was absolutely gorgeous in this video! Love the lipstick!
+vilmabrownie thank you so much!! I do too, I just got it and I feel like it’s perfect for fall!!
you have the sweetest face ever like you look like the nicest person on the planet every time i watch one of your videos i always think about how nice u look while you talk since you always smile so wide and !!!! wow you’re so pretty n seem so sweet keep it up baby
You are so sweet and kind, thank you so much Haley! That is one of the best compliments I could receive!
I got accepted for Spring as a seater last week and I've been binge watching your videos! Love your channel ❣️
Congrats!! Oh my gosh you're going to have such an amazing time!! I would give anything to go back and do my program again, it was so much fun!
kenziemacbrown thank you so much! If you anything about anyone’s experience as a seater, please let me know, I can’t find any videos 😩
I hope they keep Talking Mickey. I've seen voices of him, and he's so cool.
I love your videos! You make me super happy, ur like an angel
You are such a sweet person! Thank you so much Blanca!
oh nooo i feel so bad i just realized now, four years later, why none of the disney characters would dab when my family asked them to dab I FEEL SO GUILTY AAHH IM SORRY PLUTO
Your Disney video's light up my life 💕💕💕💕💕
That is so sweet, thank you so much Lexi!!
Love this. I cried when I met Ariel in Florida and I didn't actually expect to 😂 I'm glad I did though. It's a memory that will be vivid forever and I enjoyed it so much. Are you still working at Disney at all?
That's so sweet! No, I stopped working for the company in June of 2015.
Love this video!! I just got hired as a character performer and this info is SO helpful!
Congrats!! That's so exciting!!
kenziemacbrown thank you!!! i don't know who i'll be friends with yet. All I know is I'm "mice height" 😂 Either way I'm so excited. Nervous though!
kenziemacbrown Thank you!! I don't know who I'll be friends with but i'm "mice height" 😂 I'm excited but nervous!
Love love love your disney videos!
Thank you so much Allison!!
you are so gorgeous!! i love this video idea! it was so interesting💜
Yeah it totally makes sense! I had never thought of how social media must've changed character integrity!
Love your videos! Do you think you could do a mermaid/Ariel inspired makeup look? (Blue/green/purple eyeshadow look)
I was planning on doing a mermaid look for halloween! :)
Hey! Could you make a video about housing and the first few days of your program??
Your make up is perfection!!
also i have a question! when i went to disneyland in march i met ariel for the first time and i cried! she means so much to me and idk i just got so emotional aha! when you were hanging out with ariel or any other friend, did they find it weird or uncomfortable, or sweet when guest came to them crying aha! even if they were a 15 year old girl lol💜
Can you make a video on what to wear to Disney world and how to style your hair ??💙💙
Oh my gosh I am SO bad at hair, but I can try!!
kenziemacbrown That would help me so much !!
So you would be allowed to post a picture of yourself in costume as long as you don’t say “wow I love playing belle at Disney “ ???
Your makeup looks so gorgeous!!!
Thank you!! I kinda want to do a tutorial on simple makeup you can wear with any kind of lip color! This would definitely be it!
kenziemacbrown I would love to watch that video!! 😍
Yay Kenzie I love you so much!!💗💗
Hey kenziemacbrown!
Thanks so much for the advice! I honestly never thought about having car washes that sounds like a good idea! Thanks for your help! :)
Especially since I think 5'7" is still in the height range - I would be more concerned if you were 5'10"!
i just got into Spring 20-18 DCP for Seater! While i'm there do you think then I should audition again while i'm there?
This makes me wish actors would do meet and greet kind of things in character. Because I know for a fact I would absolutely love to hang out with Dean Winchester, jam to some classic rock, eat a bunch of pie, and talk about how beautiful Cas is. xD
As a performer, how were you able to get pictures of the characters you were hanging out with? What great memories to get to keep, but curious how you would manage to get a hold of them! Thanks :)
+Rachael Cleveland performers and attendants will sometimes have the opportunities to take photos with characters when guests aren’t around ☺️
If I had saved more electives classes for when I was a junior or senior I could've easily taken "random" online classes while I was doing the program.
when working as an attendant did you have to learn character integrity too ?
Yes! I'm pretty sure all the roles in entertainment (including photopass photographers) do.
Snow White is seriously my favorite movie!!! I know that isn't what this video is about lmao but I love it so much
I have two questions!
So they could also pick you as a character they didn't list on the audition calendar!
kenziemacbrown thank you!!! Sooooo helpful! Keep doing what you’re doing! I love your videos
Would you ever be in a princess party entertainment company?
I have no plans to. I think the girls who do those are beyond wonderful, but I don't think I would personally enjoy it after working for Disney.
What mascara do you use?!
The reason Jack and Rose can't share the plank is because their combined weight would've made it sink/tip over so neither would've survived.
I love your videos so much!
Thanks Katie!! :)
Did you watch the mermaid video yet?
Hi kenziemacbrown I haven't been to Disney world
I hope you get the chance to go someday!
Thanks I can't cause corona virus
Say MacKenzie, do you know the Elsa lookalike, Anna Faith? Well, she made people think the character was real by disguising as her, but a few years later, she just said her real name and ended up being a cosplayer; and I thought this would be character integrity.
Haha! Silly me! :)
Your teeth are soo white! What do you do to get them/keep them that way?
Haha to be honest I'm not sure because I drink drip coffee like every day. I over-bleached them when I was in middle school and I can't use teeth whitening products anymore because my teeth are so sensitive now. I'm actually pretty surprised that they're as white as they are, but all I use is regular toothpaste. I think a lot of it has to do with me actually over-bleaching them to the point where they were starting to get damaged. They look great in photos, but unfortunately they're pretty sensitive!
Honestly Disney/Pixar movies have the best Animation/Graphics of any animated movies.
You remind me of Camila Mendes! 😍
Thank you! I get that every once in a while - I think she's gorgeous so that's a huge compliment!
Especially the Disney stars hated it “twerking Miley”
It’s me Mermaid Ciara Great job on your videos
Thanks Ciara!
You are beautiful❤️ Greetings from México
You are so sweet, thanks love!!
is this why people online wont ever admit what character they played?
Probably! Some people do, it's really more of a personal preference.
I suppose if Disney had a specific policy over that, what they wanted is to prevent employees dragging attention to themselves using their characters. Companies always fear that others may profit from their stuff. Now with social media plenty of videos about them, that may have changed a little. Sometimes a good viral can be the best promo.
OMG! your teeth! beautiful!
Omg!! You look so muck like Snow White!
why are you so pretty? :O
Just because you don’t say who you were though it’s still very obvious. I mean even in the thumbnail we can tell which one is you lol. I just don’t see how it’s valid because wouldn’t character integrity mean you wouldn’t know at all?
You have nice beautiful eyes by the way no lie
I hope they keep Talking Mickey. I've seen voices of him, and he's so cool.
