Boba Fett has never been known as a quick draw ace in Star Wars. I would argue Han is far faster based on his Greedo plot armor. Even in the Shadow of the Empire comics, Boba's main strength is being a tactician and outsmarting his enemies. When he was against Luke, he demonstrated none of Jango's precision or volume in shots. The fact that he appealed to Cad Bane's ego in savoring the moment was probably his best bet at catching him off guard.

If they had this season longer, it would have been nice seeing some interaction with Bane in Boba's past, along with some nods to Jango.
What if in a secret compartment in Slave 1 or in Boba's quarters in Jabba's palace, Boba had a box that contained his father's old Westar blasters, and he broke them out to duel with Cad Bane? It was nice seeing Kamino and a young Boba, but it would have been great if Morrison reprised the role of Jango in Boba's memories; show him having father-son bonding moments and why Boba valued his relationship with his father so much.

My only complaint about Cad Bane’s inclusion in TBoBF is that it was so brief. It felt like less of a major role and more like a cameo. Luke Skywalker probably had more screentime than Cad Bane. I have a lot more issues with the series, though it is still passable. A few more episodes of development focused on Boba Fett and maybe a bit more representation of Boba’s ruthless side were sorely needed in my view. As well as the inclusion of Cad Bane far earlier and the development of his relationship with Boba and Jango through flashbacks. But what we got was still super cool too. While this moment felt too brief it feels good rewatching it.

Possibly. I've always hated having these shorter seasons. What even was it that pioneered this shorter form? The first time I noticed it was in Game of Thrones... and we all know how that ended up... I keep waiting for some franchise to finally pioneer a return to the long form seasons; I'd even settle for the twelve episode format, if full 20-episode seasons are out of the question. But ultimately, it's down to the problem of them having so little story to tell in the first place that they can't even create ANY kind of filler to pad it out to 20 full episodes. In the case of Boba Fett, though... two of the episodes are literally The Mandalorian. I'm not saying that there isn't any story to tell; I'm saying that whoever is in control here just doesn't know how to tell any kind of story. I mean, I hate flashbacks, period, and there was absolutely no need to tell this story through flashbacks, but the Tusken stuff was some of the best parts in my opinion; the first season should have just been all of that, and THEN have Boba try to start his own guild or syndicate, not this back and forth nonsense. It just gives the audience whiplash.

I'd actually rather have 8-10 longer episodes that can sink their teeth into their subject matter. Also 20 episodes of like, The West Wing is one thing, 20 episodes of CG, puppetry and costume design for star wars is quite another!
I think ultimately they just bit off way, way more than they could chew here. They wanted Hutts, they wanted tuskens, they wanted street gangs, they wanted frontier malitias, they wanted a wookie, they wanted to fill in the assassin's character history (forgot her name), they wanted the Mandolorian's original clan back, they wanted dark sabre lore, they wanted to bring the vissla family back into the story, they wanted a new ship, they wanted jawa sex scenes alluded to, they wanted CG Like Skywalker and Asoka setting up a Jedi temple, they wanted flashbacks to order 66, they wanted an infant getting shot at with a drone, they wanted a rancor, they wanted a cheesy assistant to the mayor in every damn episode, they wanted a biker gang, they wanted a spice gang, they wanted massive droidikas, they wanted Cad Baine, they wanted a florescent space scooter chase scene, they wanted a ring world, they wanted those green pig guys fighting ninjas, they wanted a comedy rat catcher droid that made it to the final shot.
I don't think amount of time or budget that would make this amphetamine-fueled panic attack of star wars references into a cohesive story. Yeah but also you shouldnt have to watch the entirety of the clone wars for cad bane if you never watched any of that, you would think of him as another goon, they absolutely didnt do him service as a villain or as a beloved character with alot of history with Boba, that stuff needs to be reintroduced for new viewers, who is this show for id understand, he shouldve been in the show from episode 2/3 they could've had him kill the tuskens I see so much potential missed, if they wanted to make boba a good guy and question his actions Cad Bane is the one to do that he is like a dark reflection of Boba. I finally realized what made this show feel lacking. Especially in the first few episodes and with the finale. It was the scale of it. We're expected to believe that Boba is taking over Jaba's part of the empire, or at least Mos Espa, which is a large city, but it never feels like his influence extends farther than a small group of people and the local neighborhood.
That hurts the finale where it's built up to be this grand battle between Boba's group and the Pyke Syndicate who was established to be a powerful crime group. The finale ends up being a bunch of shooting down streets and very minimal variety. That lack of scale fails to set up this duel like the Clone Wars did which is why it feels lacking and the show feels like an incomplete story.
Episodes 5 and 6 did not need this scale because they were telling a story completely centered around a few characters instead of the establishment of an empire.

At the very least an air fight or shootout would’ve been cool with Fett’s jet pack and Cad’s rocket boots. See, while I agree that would be cool, I also think that it would kinda degrade the characters. Yes, an Avengers-style fight between the two would have been awesome, but it doesn't fit who they are. Throughout the clone wars, Bane was able to take down so many people just by being quick to the draw. If that didn't work, then he would use his other gadgets. Boba knows this, so instead of engaging in a prolonged and exhausting conflict with Bane, he lets the him get close enough for Boba to disarm him, using a technique that he learned apart from being a bounty hunter, and then killed him, an employee of the pikes, with the Gaffi stick, a symbol of Tatooine. In a way, this is a lot like the Obi-Wan Maul fight in rebels, sacrificing spectacle for story.

There where things I really didn't like in this series But, Cad Bane and his final showdown with Boba Fett was fantastic!
The story for the Clone Wars episodes that we never got to see was that Cad Bane wanted to prove that he was better than Jango Fett by training Boba Fett so Bane could beat him right? But Bane's ego kills him in the end.
Sure, Cad Bane hasn't really shown much ego before, but this is the story that Filoni and Lucas planned for Cad Bane, and I think it makes sense and is interesting actually!
So when Bane hears that Fett is trying to do better, to Be a Better person, of course he's gonna push all of Fett's buttons to get one out of two results; 1. He kills Boba Fett and and can finally rest knowing there's no one better than him, or 2. Fett kills him and he gets the last laugh because he destroys Boba's hopes of redemption and proves that Fett is and will always be a murdering scumbag, nothing more.
It reminds me of the final Showdown between Kenobi and Maul in Rebels. Lots of people, myself included, didn't like it from the beginning. It was really short, but also compact. Now I can see all of the great details and the dialouge is also Great, in both Rebels and BoBF!

I wish we got a story of two old bounty hunters who stopped being hunters for a specific reason. Last time we saw Bane it was when he tried to to traffick Omega. The one thing evident from that fight is that he is slower, that his only good attribute anymore is that he's a gunslinger. Once he loses his ability to bounty he has to reinvent himself but for the wrong reason. Bane is not a guy that gives up he like to kill, get rich, and be a scum. In this version we find out during the Empire many bounty hunters were suppressed to the hand of the Empire just like the Mandolarians. They were a threat since they had no allegiance, many were freelance and that could be a threat to the Empire since the rebels could pay for trained hunters. The ones that allied with the Empire were allowed to reign free, but those who didn't were curb stomped. Except the ones that were backed by the syndicates and did they're dirty work in the shadows. Bane tried to be backed by the Empire but was seen as two old and worthless compared to Dengar or his apprentice Fett who he had scars from. Once he is denied his hubris causes him to create his own syndicate of fallen bounty hunters, bounty hunters that had to adapt. After Fett falls to the sarlacc Bane is exubrent that Boba is dead. But more importantly Jabba, but he can't take the thrown the Fett's have too much power too much power to protect Bib. Though as there has been new order and the new republic has been harsh on the fetts, Boba is able to take the throne so easily. This is Banes calling card to go for the riches of the palace. The spice that is transported on the world, but also a shot at killing Boba. He sends his hunters, but to no avail . He eventually realises he must take him on himself, with his soldiers and we get a showdown etc. Maybe, this story couldn't be done and might have problems but it would have been interesting.

    -how his skin looks
    -Not much screen time
-And last but 100% not least how he died.
And i can answer all these with this:
-this is live action not some 3d animation series, ofc he will look a bit different and i think they nailed it with his look
-His voice is also good, in fact i thought he was being voiced by the same dude from clone wars.
-his skin also looks fine lol, dudes old, skin changes a bit while becoming older
-My man has literally more screen time than boba fett himself. Sure maybe not in this series but u guys arent counting clone wars, and star wars games that show him more than boba lmao.
-And finally his death is acceptable for me. My dude lived from the republic era to the empresa downfall at some point he would have gotte killed off and what a better way than getting killed in a 1v1 of skill, strenght, and intelligence against someone he lectured.
