@@thebournlegacy5631 I feel like there's a semi-decent chance Vanth lives here. The deputy is absolutely dead, Bane made sure by shooting him another 2 times, but Vanth was hit once, and wasn't finished off by Bane. I think there's a possibility that means Vanth may be living, especially because we've not really seen much of him at all, for him to just get killed like that.
@@BigShrimpin_ I really hope he lives, from a dark sense it was slightly comical that Bane quickly turned and annihilated the deputy before he really had a chance to even draw. Seriously hope Cobb lives tho
I give him like 60:40 odds, with him being dead more likely since it makes sense that way for the citizens of mos-pelgo to have a reason to join Boba then. Although another cool thing to add, is that if we got live action Bane, we might get The Bad Batch or Omega in live action here. It would be a cool addition with Boba meeting other clones, especially Omega being the final clone of Jango, effectively making her Boba's biological sister.
My favorite thing about this episode and the bad batch is the canonization of the deleted episode of Boba and Bane’s duel. Also during that duel it was a draw and Boba was only like 16 going up against a seasoned Bane. I hope they get a rematch next episode.
It’s not “officially” canon yet, but it’s about as canon as it can be without it being stated with what we’ve been given. We’ll likely learn for sure with this next episode due to, you know, you don’t just nearly kill someone and not talk about it when you see them again.
@@Cometstarlight I’d argue that it is officially canon, we’ll let me elaborate. Before bad batch we didn’t know all we could do was assume. Then the cut unfinished episode came around in 2017 and we were given an idea of where Boba’s dent came from but still no confirmation. Then bad batch officially canonized the duel when Bane appeared with his metal plate where Boba shot him. It was an Easter egg hinting towards the duel but I get it that they never openly said “hey Boba and Bane did duel. Can’t wait for the next episode though.
Can’t wait to see Cad and Boba have their final battle. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna duel it out. There was a scrapped clone wars episode where Boba and Bane have a standoff. That’s how Boba got the dent in his helmet and that’s why Cad has the metal plate on his head. Even though the episode was scrapped, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be canon. Makes perfect sense
What's crazy is that cad bane somehow knows about vanth giving back the armor to mando in season 2. It makes you think how long has he been following them? 😰
Not really, it is possible that just like Mando originally, Bane was looking for Fett and discovered Vanth, then he turns up in BoBF and Vanth doesn’t have the armour anymore.
It seems odd to bring in Bane and kill him one episode later so I think he will stick around for a while. I would like it if they used the episode to have Boba and Bane refer to the duel we never got to see in TCW.
He's old now....like really old. I think he's only around to settle the score with Boba who took his title as best bounty hunter because it keeps the blood flowing I guess?
I hope so, but at the same time it make sense for Boba to be the one to finally put Bane down. But again, here's hoping their inevitable fight doesn't end in Bane's death and he gets away.
It might be like mandolorian where moff Gideon was introduced near the end of season one but wasn't defeated till season 2. Or maybe they'll just kingpin him
@@DyslxicDolphin Bad Batch is a rushed mess of cramming everything we didn't get in Clone Wars and assuming we somehow know all those things that happened in those aforementiomed 10 arcs.
While I love seeing Cad in live action, I MUCH prefer Boba making his mark on the galaxy and proving he was worthy of his father’s armour by killing Cad Bane as a young man and that’s how he became famous.
That definitely would've been a great way for Boba to establish himself as the top dog bounty hunter early in his career, as well as explain why Cad Bane pretty much disappeared throughout most of the Imperial era. Though I do hope their confrontation next week lives up to the hype.
I never thought Cad Bane as a bad guy. He's a bounty hunter, he's just doing his job, doesn't act in self interest and is only in for the money. Criminal? Yes. Dishonorable? Debatable
To me he had normal compassion. Yes he took on horrible jobs, but he wanted a reputation more than money, and several times he would kill anyone who got in the way even if he didn't have too. Rarely did he show mercy such as fennec did. Hope he isn't " older and more laid back" like Boba and turns out to be a nemesis.
@@lukethepotatoking In my opinion, evil isn’t dependent on whether the person thinks it’s evil. If he murderers someone as a job, he’s still a murderer - which would make him a bad guy. Remember what happened to the group of Pikes that he caught earlier in the episode? The one that didn't draw was allowed to leave with a message for the Pike Syndicate. Bane would have seen the N-1 leaving and could easily assume that Boba sent someone on a recruiting mission.

Interesting, I always thought that they changed the parameters of Cad bane, making the duel with young boba not happen. I also hope that Cad bane doesn't become the next maul and is worked into the ground
I'm so relieved to hear that the unfinished Clone Wars arc, Bounty Hunters, is still canon! I was afraid it was retconned when I first saw Cad Bane in the Bad Batch. 😮💨 Also, I didn't know Cad Bane met Maul?
The Hutt members all sent Cad to get ziro from prison, instigated by jabba. Then while Gardulla and the others worked out what to do with him, Jabba secretly sent sly snootles to get ziro right? That's what I thought anyway. It's fresh in my memory. So sly gets ziro out, and tricks him etc, cad is sent after them by the hutts, who are unaware Jabba is getting hold of the criminal activities, now at jabbas palace! I wondered if no a would come across it and use it against the hutts....maybe one day.
As I understand, the Ziro arc goes like this: At some point early in the Clone Wars, Dooku and Ziro hatched a scheme where they would overthrow Jabba so Ziro could take over and give the Separatists access to trade routes. However, the plan failed, and Ziro was imprisoned. Initially, the Hutt Council was auite content to let him rot, but then they found out he hide a big box of blackmail somewhere that could threaten the Hutt's criminal network, so they hired Cad Bane and some other bounty hunters to break Ziro out of prison. Rather than do the smart thing, Ziro tried and failed a charisma check, threatening to release the blackmail anyways if the other Hutts were ever mean to him. Not amused, they imprisoned him. Not long after, Ziro's girlfriend broke him out of prison. Now that the other Hutts were mean to him, Ziro decided it was high time to unearth the box of blackmail, and he asked his girlfriend to come with him. After the two left, the Hutts dispatched Cad Bane to execute Ziro, and the Jedi Council sent Trollmaster Kenobi and Quinlan Vos to capture Ziro for interrogation. They were both sent rather late, however, and Ziro unearthed the blackmail box anyways. However, it turns out that his girlfriend, Sy Snootles, was the actual intended assassin; the instant Ziro revealed the blackmail, she was to kill him and report back. Cad Bane was just a decoy, and the two Jedi were a nice additional source of artificial urgency.

I was pissed off that Bane couldn’t beat Fenic Shan I was thinking that it was Disney protecting a character who stood very little chance against Bane.
Another testament to Bane’s lack of need for fame: he could’ve told Cobb Vanth about getting hired by Darth Sidious, breaking into the Jedi Temple, holding the Galactic Senate hostage, blackmailing the Chancellor, killing multiple Jedi, torturing Ahsoka and outsmarting Anakin, but no!: He refused to so much as tell him his name, taking it as an insult when Vanth pressed the subject!

The entire star was fans were speechless when they saw him on book boba Fett.
Honestly when I saw who it was walking up to Cobb Vanth and Mos Pelgo I literally said right there “well, sorry Cobb but you are very fucking dead” which I really hope is not true and that he was just wounded but things do not look good right now…. That deputy tho didn’t get killed by Bane, he got fucking destroyed
@@thebournlegacy5631
I feel like there's a semi-decent chance Vanth lives here.
I think he alive.
when i saw him waking into town from a distance, and recognized the hat i was like "no. it cant be!"
I really wish that Cad Bane was more prevalent in "book of boba" instead of Din Djarin.
Great vid once again, been subbed to you for years and love the channel :)
Glad you liked it and appreciate the long support!
What's crazy is that cad bane somehow knows about vanth giving back the armor to mando in season 2. It makes you think how long has he been following them? 😰
And is he after Mando more so than Boba🤔🤔
Exactly 💯🧐
Not really, it is possible that just like Mando originally, Bane was looking for Fett and discovered Vanth, then he turns up in BoBF and Vanth doesn’t have the armour anymore.
It blew my eyes away when I saw him in this episode
Awesome backstory recap! Thanks for this!
Cad Bane is my favorite bounty hunter
We should’ve got him as a hero in Battlefront 2
Then he got killed by Boba Fett in the most unglorified way
I bet that bane vs boba is gonna be in the finale
I lost my mind when he showed up in todays episode.
Man Cad Bane should've been added to SWBF2, along with Ahsoka, before EA and DICE dropped it.
Or maybe they'll just kingpin him
Yeah, about that………..
His heart monitor was still beeping at the end
6:22 Yeah, sadly Disney decided to cancel about 10 Clone Wars arcs, including this one, after they took over Star Wars in 2014.
Have you seen Bad Batch? It’s implied something of the sort still happened
@@DyslxicDolphin Bad Batch is a rushed mess of cramming everything we didn't get in Clone Wars and assuming we somehow know all those things that happened in those aforementiomed 10 arcs.
@@ZaZi-Zeta01 Bad Batch was good
While I love seeing Cad in live action, I MUCH prefer Boba making his mark on the galaxy and proving he was worthy of his father’s armour by killing Cad Bane as a young man and that’s how he became famous.
That definitely would've been a great way for Boba to establish himself as the top dog bounty hunter early in his career, as well as explain why Cad Bane pretty much disappeared throughout most of the Imperial era. Though I do hope their confrontation next week lives up to the hype.
I disagree, I prefer Cad Bane over Boba
Cads story should’ve ended in TCW with the Boba standoff
@@IMTRUBUM same
@@IMTRUBUM Agreed
I never thought Cad Bane as a bad guy. He's a bounty hunter, he's just doing his job, doesn't act in self interest and is only in for the money. Criminal? Yes. Dishonorable? Debatable
To me he had normal compassion. Yes he took on horrible jobs, but he wanted a reputation more than money, and several times he would kill anyone who got in the way even if he didn't have too. Rarely did he show mercy such as fennec did. Hope he isn't " older and more laid back" like Boba and turns out to be a nemesis.
If you’re willing to do evil to make money, that makes you a bad guy.
@@WideMouth in his eyes, a job is a job
@@lukethepotatoking In my opinion, evil isn’t dependent on whether the person thinks it’s evil. If he murderers someone as a job, he’s still a murderer - which would make him a bad guy. Cad Bane kidnapped children from their parents, and has murdered innocent people on a regular basis. I get what you mean though; he’s not aligned with any particular faction - he’s only concerned with his own interests.
@@WideMouth he does dirty work for money, but he isn't inherently evil. He didn't like jedi, but in all honesty who did? Everything to him was just a job but he never killed anyone undeserving
Wouldn't be surprised if someone made this joke already, but
Cad Bane? More like Chad Bane
Has anybody noticed the similarities between cad bane and Johnny Ringo from Tombstone. The piercing eyes, the cold blooded gunslinger vibes, the sinister walk, and of course the round brim hat.
He kinda reminds of The Bad in The Good The Bad and the Ugly.
@@animeshaggy4333 That’s who he’s based on. Feloni confirmed that
He was damn good as the live-action version in the last chapter
When I saw Cad Bane in Book of Boba Fett, I knew that we're in for a ride.
The Pykes have started their move on Tatooine, and the war has just started.
The funny thing is, I saw this video before the episode of Boba Fett with him in it and somehow it was still a major surprise to me.
You made this fast!
This video couldn't have been more appropriately timed.
Ik I've seen that hat and get-up anywhere.i was like ahhh nooooway that's cad bane!!🤩🤩
Possibly within the next BOBF episode.
Cad Bane: Fennec Shand, we meet again.
Fennec Shand: Hello Bane. Ready to get whooped again?
Fun fact (probably a coincidence but still) : Cad being a "duro" (alien from planet duros) is fitting for him since "duro" in both italian and spanish exactly as it is pronounced and written means " tough" (like though guy) / "resilient" or "hard" depending on the context!
Found this extremely fitting for such a "tough" Duro ;D !!
The Space Cowboy
Me: sees the title
Also me: litterally after getting killed by boba fett
Cad Bane is THE best bounty hunter in Star Wars. I very glad he has finally made it to live action, for how long though?
So incredibly false. Bane ALWAYS played 2nd fiddle to Jango when he was alive, and Boba was 100% considered even by most other bounty hunters to be the best in the Galaxy. Check your lore bud.
@@nerdyasfuck9440 name checks out. Anyway he was better than jango feats are more important than conjecture

I'm not watching this series but randomly saw a reaction video about it.
I remember seeing Cad Bane on Clone Wars. Wasn't until today I know his name. Use to just call him The Blue Bounty Hunter
I see Bane and I went, "Oh here we go again. What next? He's in the sequels too?"
"Time to pay up Hutt! I don't work for free!"
Is there a mole in Boba's group, as small as it is? Bane showed up like a minute after Din left and he already knew about Boba trying to hire the people of Freetown. Since he was walking, he must have been on his way before Din got there.
Remember what happened to the group of Pikes that he caught earlier in the episode? The one that didn't draw was allowed to leave with a message for the Pike Syndicate. Bane would have seen the N-1 leaving and could easily assume that Boba sent someone on a recruiting mission.
@@karlrovey That is possible though they really seem to like having surprises in the season finale and having a traitor would be a good way to do that.
Man, I really would like to see live action Durge now...
"Waits for a miracle, silently"

Unlikely considering he's killed in the Clone Wars. Maybe as a flashback in the Kenobi series.

They have pretty much got the remaining Clone Wars characters in live action now with Bane on the show. Now we just need to start getting Rebels characters like Thrawn and Ezra Ect.
Thrawn was teased in Mando season 2 if I recall correctly
Embo. Voiced by filoni himself and includes his 2 favorite things, cool hats and wolves. We will probably see him eventually
@@mightybison15 Ahsoka going after Thrawn to find Ezra is probably going to be the plot of the Ahsoka series.

Din vs Cad would also be lit.
Seriously. The Pykes aren’t joking around if they got Bane. More less that this guy has fought Jedi and clones while still able to escape certain death. Plus, another thing. He likes to see a fight that’s both fair. Like Obi wan and Morall Eval.
Interesting, I always thought that they changed the parameters of Cad bane, making the duel with young boba not happen. I also hope that Cad bane doesn't become the next maul and is worked into the ground
Yes why would anyone consider something that never aired canon?
I believe it was hinted at that Cad Bane survived his duel with Boba due to his hat having a metal plate underneath it.
@@0801436 It was shown at celebration and was released as part of the Clone Wars Legacy project. As far as I’m concerned, it’s canon.
Bobas helmet still has a dent in it which is from Cad shooting him in their dual so many still believe it’s canon which is feasible.

Cadd Bane wasn’t more dangerous than Boba Fett
I'm so relieved to hear that the unfinished Clone Wars arc, Bounty Hunters, is still canon! I was afraid it was retconned when I first saw Cad Bane in the Bad Batch. 😮💨
Also, I didn't know Cad Bane met Maul?
It's a reallllyyy good comic
I do wonder why Darth Maul didn’t hire jango fett the best bounty hunter in the galaxy at the time
He is one of my favorite characters in star wars
I remember everytime I saw this dudes face in a clone wars trailer Id get hyped for the episode
As I understand, the Ziro arc goes like this:
At some point early in the Clone Wars, Dooku and Ziro hatched a scheme where they would overthrow Jabba so Ziro could take over and give the Separatists access to trade routes.
@@davidhong1934 I guess it's open to interpretation. Maybe I'll look up an actual plot online for confirmation

he was more dangerous after the death of jango and before boba fett was an adult and full time bounty hunter. but still a badass none the less, cad bane was a great addition to star wars.
I wouldn’t say he more dangerous then Fett he is well equal. He may have started years before him but Bane saw his dad in action but wasn’t equal to Jango Fett but did take his place once Jango died. So let’s see what happens next week with them.

In Canon, Cad Bane's feats and ability to hold his own against opponents as powerful as Obi-Wan (in close quarters no doubt) multiple times far outweigh Boba Fett's in my opinion. If we were talking about Legends Boba Fett, then I'd definitely put him over Cad Bane personally.
