They would be physically much, much weaker. Cad Bane was extremely skilled, around as good a bounty hunter as Jango Fett, but for every clone to take such a huge amount of time to learn the same skills as Cad Bane would be hugely ineffective.
That would be a horrendous idea. The reason why not all the clones were as good as Jango Fett is because the Republic needed *soldiers,* not highly specialized bounty hunters. The skills Bane and Jango had would not be effective in front line combat, they are more akin to an assassin. The Clones that were trained to do things similar to what Jango and Bane did were called commandos, and reached the same level of prowess, but if every clone was a commando, an army simply couldn't function. The reason Jango Fett was used as a template wasn't because of his skill set, but rather because his physical abilities are that of a peak human. That means every soldier has the best chance of fulfilling their specific role with as much efficiency as possible. The Republic's front line soldiers were trained for a specific purpose, and they did their jobs better than anyone in the galaxy. Put Bane or Jango in a military invasion setting, and they would be lost. Put normal clones in an assassin role, and they would be lost.
Indeed. To be fair, Bane was mostly on the retreat, used all the gadgets we ever see him use in the series, and lost most of his weapons and his hat along the way. But he outlasted them and got away. Not everyone fleeing from Jedi/Sith can say that. (Thinks of the various hallway scenes) Especially those not sensitive to the Force.
he easly had the chance to shoot vos instead of kicking him away, he also could have gotten Obiwan after shocking him. if vos didn't intervene. if the jedi didn't have plot armor vos at the very lest could be dead and obiwan possibly captured or dead. but still great fight and bane is so cool.
When Bane used this electric gadget on Obi Wan he was in a great position to break his arm easily but he didn't do it because it's "too brutal" I think and because of the plot
I'm so glad Bane is back in The Bad Batch. He's such an underrated character. Dude survived an interrogation and mind control by Windu, Obi Wan and Anakin COMBINED. He went up against AND SOMETIMES BESTED Jedi like Obi Wan, Quinlan Voss, Anakin and Ahsoka. He's as good as if not a better shot than Dinn Djarin, Cross Hairs and Han Solo. And he survived the clone wars. Even stole a Holocraun once. Fucking Underrated
I mean, I wouldn't call this scene lasting against. He used every trick up his sleeve just to run away after saying he was going to kill them. On top of that, as soon as it got close, he faltered hard. CQC is Bane's weakness and it's why Fennec beat him.
Christian Crowder Unfortunately, it is not the Jedi way to use the force to ragdoll people. But yes, I think technically if they weren’t held back by their beliefs, they could have just thrown cad bane around with the force and there wouldn’t be much he could do.

@DeadNinjutsu Are you braindead? Holding an entire elected body as a hostage is 100% eligible to arrest someone for life for. Hell, that's literally terrorism. It's also "business" to sell people for slavery when its illegal, that doesn't mean peoole should get away with it. The Jedi hate bonet goes to ridiculous levels to the point where people defend terrorists against them.
@DeadNinjutsu "Kidnapping" I guess parents willingly giving their children to the Jedi Order is just kidnapping now? There was no instance where the Jedi just outright stole children, numbnuts. And "indoctrination" is in every single education to an extent, what matters is how positive/negative it is. And considering the Jedi literally keep 1000 years of peace, I'd say they're far more benigng than any other education system. So what were you saying again?
@DeadNinjutsu I love how you call the Jedi a murder cult when the entire galaxy uses and abuses the fact that "LOL! Jedi don't kill!11!!!" against them all the time. Fighting and killing in self-defense is not what murder cults do.
@DeadNinjutsu Name one time the Jedi kidnapped a child. I mean literally and intentionally stole a child from a living guardian. You're full of it, dude.
For a bad guy/neutral figure? Yeah ok, maybe in competition with Aurra Sing. In general/for a good guy? No way. I think the best good guy bounty hunter was probably SUGI.
I just don't like that the show makes him a bit too OP for the Jedi to handle (its for the plot, i know), that should have been more of a thing for General Grevious which they sadly nerfed. Also, the show makes him a bit too much like Jango Fett which I feel only Jango can pull off...
Obi-Wan was *very clearly* fighting to disarm and capture Bane, not to kill or even injure him. He deflected blaster bolts precisely enough to knock his gun out of his hand...but somehow never so much as winged Bane. He disarmed him without injuring him (keep in mind the number of hands lost to lightsaber duels in this series) and he never uses any offensive force powers (even though push/pull are routinely used in combat by jedi). *why* he wasn't willing to injure bane is an open question, given that the man is a wanted terrorist with a body count, but there were many opportunities for him to end that fight.
@@feistierthread294 dude he still didn't get overpowered in a few seconds. A lightsaber has no weight to its blade. According to the official star wars lightsaber guidebook. Anyone without the force finds the use of lightsabers near impossible due to the extremely light weight and center of gravity making basic swordsmanship impossible. He made proper strikes. He adapted to the weight and weapon balance immediately and had enough grip to take 3 blows from Obi-Wan who was trying to disarm him . That's like you being handed a longbow and almost shooting the bulls eye on your first shot from a hundred feet
But the fact that it lasted like 3 seconds means he didn't hold his own lol. It makes sense, though, because he has no Force powers and should not be able to take on Jedi at their own game. It's why he has to rely on his craftiness and his arsenal of gadgets to go toe-to-toe with them. It's a battle of asymmetric skillsets. That's why I always disliked the 2003 cartoon depiction of Grievous. Not only does he duel Jedi head-on, but he duels half a dozen of them at once! While doing handstands and wielding lightsabers with his feet! And he demolishes the whole lot of them easily! Felt like Tartokovsky was writing over-the-top fanfiction there.
@@MarsellusWallace logical criticism but i actually enjoyed 2003 grevious for the fsct that he was actually threatening and was portrayed as some Jedi killing machine And it made sense he could outduel all of them because hes got 4 freaking lightsabers His TCW amd movie predictions are a joke gone is the tall silent overwhelming ,cold steel, level headed commander that jedi actually feared Instead we got a coughing coward who always loses and resorts to dirty tactics to escape and is literally joke and fodder to a jedi.
@@pingaspearce9403 The thing is, 2003 Grievous only used two lightsabers for that fight, not four. In fact, I think at that point, the whole "four arms" idea wasn't a thing yet, because at the end, he picked up a third saber with his FOOT when it was just him and Ki Adi Mundi. In other words, the dude was using the same number of sabers as Ventress or Ahsoka in that fight. That's nothing to write home about and hardly enough of a crutch for him to just start casually juggling Jedi coming at him from every direction. Later depictions of Grievous in TCW and RotS might have leaned a lot toward the cowardly side, but in terms of how they depicted his matchups against Jedi, I think they were a more reasonable baseline. He a) generally fights them one-on-one and b) uses the sheer overwhelming force of four lightsabers to compensate for his lack of Force senses. You can still make a deadly assassin type character out of that, just not some juggernaut who mows down Jedi by the handful.
@@pingaspearce9403 2003 Grevious was the dumbest thing ever, he’s a droid with no powers that’s it. Any Jedi should be able to easily get rid of him, but to cover up bad writing there’s the lazy “TheYre ToO sCaReD” excuse for why no one uses the force. He’s always been a stupid character

Sweet Papa D I understand what your trying to say but this is the RPG aspect from Games and is not the real deal. Yoda has a green sword and fights better than everyone else AND can deflect Force lightnings. And you can change the color of your sword whenever you want. So I guess it's not that importend.
Sometimes directors/screenwriters forget what their characters know just to make the plot work. Obi could have easily taken out Cad plenty of times without having to kill him.
Quite possibly a reference to when Dooku was speaking about him once in The Clone Wars (The Box story arc) and said that Cad Bane needed no introduction.
Travis Kopplinger lol That's why I said he supposedly had a basic knowledge of Shien. He's probably the best Soresu user of all time. He seemed to be using the Ataru usage of dual sabers while he was fighting Maul and Oppress.
+TheNuisanceBird Soresu is a defensive form, while reverse-style Shien is a defensive stance focused on deflecting blaster fire. In a dual-wield scenario, having a main hand in your favoured form and an offhand in reverse Shien provided an insane amount of defensive ability. In offense, he would switch to Ataru, such as in his battle with the Nightbrothers.
This entire fight scene is the exact reason why Bane had such a legendary reputation even among other reputable bounty hunters like Jango, Boba, and Mando. Good to see him still kicking ass all these years later!
Probably would've had a better reputation if he shot the other jedi instead of kicking him to a lower platform and proceeding to stand around doing nothing until Obi Wan jumps to him
It's a shame Dark Disciple was never animated, because this was the only time we saw Vos, and all that happened was Bane kicking his ass ( though his sensory abilities were nice to see )
According to star Wars Lore: He is one of the best "Defensive/Parry based" fighters. Shooting him is literally suicide as he can bounce the bolts back directly to your head. Derrick Simmons neither does Cad Bane despite breaking out of prison, kidnapping the chancellor, hijacking the entire senate building, taking on Obi Wan and Quinlan Vos, taking on Anakin and Ashoka, kidnapping younglings, and destroying multiple republic ships. The rebels' plot armor can't compare to Cad Bane's.

@@illyrian89 There's a galaxy of quardillions out there. If he is considered the best bounty hunter in the galaxy after Jango's death, he is one in a quadrillion theoretically. So his skill level is quite easily explained by the scale of the galaxy and process of elimination.
Cool scene, but seemed kinda pointless if you think about it. Why would he reveal himself? He says it's for the bounty on their heads, but from the moment the fight starts he's on the defensive, making a beeline for his ship whil fending them off. He obviously knows he can't take them in a direct fight, so why did he even expose himself to them? He could've just gone straight to his ship without them ever knowing he had been there. Seems like he just revealed himself so they could add a cool chase scene just for the sake of it looking cool.
+Xylarxcode He wanted Zero. He likely didn't know he was dead until he entered the building, and by then Obi-Wan had already sensed them. Bane knew he couldn't take them on, and that's why he said that there wasn't a need for a fight. That changed when Obi-wan said he was taking him in regardless, so Bane pulled off what is called a fighting retreat. If he somehow manages to keep the Jedi separated long enough to kill them, great, and if he doesn't then he can still get away in one piece.
They would have noticed his ship leaving if nothing else and then they would have had reason to think that he either had something to do with the death, or had additional information, but he removed that would-be suspicion when the moment he spoke.
Um well...they were 2 v1 to start with. They also have use of lightsabers and the force. He made them both look pretty amateur to be honest. Today's lesson= don't use the force as a crutch.
For those just meeting Cad Bane for the first time in The Book of Boba Fett: This is why everybody is losing their shit at him turning up. The dude can literally go toe-to-toe with 2 trained Jedi and survive. No fancy force powers. Just sheer will, determination, intuition, adaptabiltiy, a healthy roster of deadly gadgets, a blaster, and brutal ruthlessness. The guy is a barracuda: Slippery and deadly!
Lol no the gadgets didn't do shit to the jedi. Obi Wan casually throws it to the side. Not to mention, blasters are useless since every jedi is efficiently trained in blaster deflection, much less the "Master of Soresu" and the 3rd other jedi who wasn't Anakin or Yoda and beat Count Dooku(Quinlan Vos) Cad Bane has plot armor. Yall just wont admit it yet you can easily call out the plot armor in the sequels. Also, I hate the sequels. I can just consistently criticize something and not let bias take over
I'll never get why George had Jango kill a member of the Jedi Council in Episode II, why he had no objections to Filoni making Cad Bane as badass as he is in fighting off two Jedi Masters and coming close to killing them at several points in this fight had the other not interfered, and yet why he and Filoni decided to simultaneously make Grievous an incompetent clown with the General having little to no chance against an experienced Jedi while on his own while at the same time having no self-awareness of his shortcomings in combat. I do love Cad and Jango, though.
It's always wonderful seeing how Obi-Wan could have just... sliced Cad in half at 1:50 and he just.... doesn't. And it takes him all of 3 seconds to disarm Cad when he tries attacking him with a lightsaber. Cad could have broken Obi-Wan's arm or killed the other Jedi, and they just... don't. It's like they're all playing with each other. Cad even laughs when he picks up the light saber, and fully goes into a situation which could fully get him *murdered*, and he's having a ball doing it. And Obi-Wan could probably have murdered Cad by sending his blaster shots back at him, but he can't because the goal *isn't to kill him*. And because of that, he can't actually catch him, because while Cad can't stop himself from getting *murdered*, he can stop himself from getting *captured*, and that's a big difference. What a good show.
@@nickg5341 I’m not sure about the old republic Jedi but the Jedi of the prequels fought droids and destroyed them but never fought any living beings besides bounty hunters who they would usually capture or let them live but if you are referring to the clones it’s because the clones literally were relentless when trying to kill the Jedi it was there sole purpose pretty much after order 66 so the Jedi (having lightsabers for weapons ) had to kill them

Put normal clones in an assassin role, and they would be lost.
not really broken. bane is some skinny weird looking alien while jango Fett is actually buff af
We're not going to talk about how Cad Bane 1v2'd a Jedi master and a Jedi knight... and got away with it? Hat and all?
Indeed. To be fair, Bane was mostly on the retreat, used all the gadgets we ever see him use in the series, and lost most of his weapons and his hat along the way. But he outlasted them and got away. Not everyone fleeing from Jedi/Sith can say that.
(Thinks of the various hallway scenes)
Especially those not sensitive to the Force.

When Bane used this electric gadget on Obi Wan he was in a great position to break his arm easily but he didn't do it because it's

I think everybody that has seen Cad Bane immediately realizes how good Cad Bane is.
It is mostly plot armor tho. They should be able to use the force and take him out instantly.
Christian Crowder Unfortunately, it is not the Jedi way to use the force to ragdoll people. But yes, I think technically if they weren’t held back by their beliefs, they could have just thrown cad bane around with the force and there wouldn’t be much he could do.
Well now he is back in The Book of Boba Fett
And when the world needed this legendary bounty hunter, he returned

@DeadNinjutsu Yeah, so says the guy that can't back up any of the garbage he says. Give up, dude. Accept when you're wrong and move on.
bane is by far the coolest bounty hunter. he is so badass
..... No
For a bad guy/neutral figure? Yeah ok, maybe in competition with Aurra Sing.
In general/for a good guy? No way.
I think the best good guy bounty hunter was probably SUGI.
"You're not good to me dead" (c)
I just don't like that the show makes him a bit too OP for the Jedi to handle (its for the plot, i know), that should have been more of a thing for General Grevious which they sadly nerfed. Also, the show makes him a bit too much like Jango Fett which I feel only Jango can pull off...
SECOND coolest bounty hunter.
The fact that Bane was able to last three moves against Obi Wan in a lightsaber duel is just a testament to his character
Now that you mention it, he lasted longer than Maul did in his Rebels rematch.
He made three attack's which Obi Wan blocked, the last of which was used to disarm him.
Much more realistic than in the force awakens
it only lasted like 3 seconds but bane holding his own against kenobi with a lightsaber is fucking badass
I know it’s fucking golden
@@MarsellusWallace logical criticism but i actually enjoyed 2003 grevious for the fsct that he was actually threatening and was portrayed as some Jedi killing machine
And it made sense he could outduel all of them because hes got 4 freaking lightsabers
His TCW amd movie predictions are a joke gone is the tall silent overwhelming ,cold steel, level headed commander that jedi actually feared
Instead we got a coughing coward who always loses and resorts to dirty tactics to escape and is literally joke and fodder to a jedi.
Do you remember the famous advice: Use the force Luke. I see that Obi seemed to be a lazy guy for not doing so himself.
+TurKlack because plot, and this clone wars was far different than the old 2003 version
+TurKlack To be fair it's not like Obi is a force master Jedi, the color of the saber's show what they majored in, blue saber Jedi are ones who focus on lightsaber and combat training then, force mastery though yes there are probably a few insistence's were Obi should have used his force powers more often
Sweet Papa D
I understand what your trying to say but this is the RPG aspect from Games and is not the real deal. Yoda has a green sword and fights better than everyone else AND can deflect Force lightnings. And you can change the color of your sword whenever you want. So I guess it's not that importend.
TurKlack Actually, its actual lore from the eu aswell.Plus its one of the things that carries onto the new disney canon.

The fact that Cad Bane could stand against two Jedi at their prime and get away it is remarkable.

@@illyrian89 There's a galaxy of quardillions out there. If he is considered the best bounty hunter in the galaxy after Jango's death, he is one in a quadrillion theoretically. So his skill level is quite easily explained by the scale of the galaxy and process of elimination.
Obi Wan always holds back with Bane.
Anyone here after Bane’s live action cameo?
Maybe fighting Jedi is something he considers good for practice?
They would have noticed his ship leaving if nothing else and then they would have had reason to think that he either had something to do with the death, or had additional information, but he removed that would-be suspicion when the moment he spoke.

Who‘s here after finally seeing him in live action
When you realize that Cad Bane could easily kill Kylo Ren & Rey without a lightsaber. I mean, he could survive against the high ground.
1:09
He was able to survive against Obi Wan because Jedi restrain themselves of using the force, Kylo Ren, a sith lord or any other non Jedi force user could easily use force stasis and kill any bounty hunter.
@@javi_gn bane uses bullets to
@@javi_gn Cad Bane can logically and rationally fight under pressure though. Bane would easily outsmart both of them.
@@gabenewell3955 Bane most definitely does not use bullets.
More people who just watched the new episode of The Book of Boba Fett will be coming here any moment soon!
2:52 That smile xD
Here after Boba Fett ep 6 👀
"You may be cool, but are you Cad Bane wielding a lightsaber cool?"
I am even surprised that Hunter even manage to draw his gun and shoot during their duel considering how Cad Bane humiliated Obi Wan and Quin Lan Vos in their team up.
It's because Hunter has enhanced senses that allow him to react quickly. Even then, I don't think he even managed to get a shot.
Bane is ALMOST (not quite) as fast as a Jedi.
Hunter is an enhanced clone, both him and crosshair lost and would've died to Padawan Kanan if he didn't flee.
Hunter literally has no chance 1v1 against Cad and I am glad they showed it. The Bad Batch together could take him out tho.
@@niranjannamboodiri8324 he did manage to shoot Cad’s helper droid, only in the right foot though.
@@ttv_mrjack6749 Maybe the ion engine damaged crosshairs chip and as the bad batch tries to rescue omega he finally snaps out of it and kills bane when all hope seems lost for the bad batch
Cad Bane, a highly skilled bounty hunter can fight with a lightsaber for 5 seconds against a jedi
However Rey, a girl who sold scraps her entire life can beat a higly skilled lightsaber user without problems.
Smh
Not just a jedi... quite litteraly one of the galaxy's *BEST* Jedi
And the cop out they use is oh she's a Palpatine like bloodline automatically makes you skilled 💀🤣
@@shuckyducky3471 I mean... the prequels explain that becoming a Jedi at all is based on how lucky you are with science.
@@lunny3715 I mean Luke literally said that talent without training is nothing and becoming a jedi is one thing becoming a skilled swordsman is a whole nother animal
You know why we're here.
They did that little part with the lightsaber so well. You could see that Bane had no saber skills just by the position of his left arm. He just swung at Obi Wan without a lot of thought and Obi just blocked it then disarmed him.
"I never did enjoy hanging out with you"
Well, I did!
The way Kenobi kicks the gun off the ledge, is so Kenobi like..
This came up in my feed at quite the perfect time
who’s here after Bad Batch episode 8? Cad Bane is back!
And now we get to see Cad Bane in live action
1:27 Obi Wan has two lightsabers already before TODO attacks him
They fucking did it😭😭
Rest in peace cad bane you will be missed as one of the greatest and deadliest bounty Hunters in the galaxy.
Can we talk about how Cad Bane was actually going toe to toe with Obi and then zapped him, he pretty much bested on of the best duelist ever…
Defensive Duelist. Obi Wan's style is a protector stance where Anakin is the more offensive stance, it's what made the two of them working together such a great combo.
@@hobbitpsi Why did you bring in Anakin, and did anyone ask?
@@eeedsss8224 It was for reference. Basically Obi-wan's lightsaber style isn't made for offense nor aggressiveness. It's why he was either A. More vulnerable and B. why pairing him with Anakin who was an offensive style user made them an unbeatable pair.
you know, for being the supposed second best bounty hunter after Jango Fett, he certainly does a better job fighting these dudes
seeing Cad Bane life action is fucking dope
Obi Wan's payback to Bane is when he completely fooled Bane, faking his death and disguising as someone else that Bane hated at first but gradually truated
When Obi Wan just casually reverse grips dual wielding like it’s nothing. Definitely a master. 😂🤣
I mean every jedi trains in different styles. They have their prefered style yes, but they all train in different ones.
I like the part where both Jedi didn't just use their force powers to completely disable him in the first 3 seconds of the fight.
Something something living beings can resist it, something something requires concentration, not enough mana....I'll take literally any excuse for that to not being how things work, because then any fight involving a force used would be lame and I'd like the star wars universe considerably less.
@@tallymanz6756 I wish more fans accepted the explanation “Because then it would be boring.”
I was happy. For once Cad Bane they let hold the lightsaber. And his laughter is something
