AGCO has offered powered ladders for at least 15 years on Gleaner and Massey. It’s very handy to push a button. John Deere’s X9 ladder is a big hassle to access. For the cost they should all be push button.
That last scene of the Fendt combine coming over the crest of that hill was cool. Would have been better if you had backed it up a bit more to show it as it started revealing itself! Thanks for posting this video.
I have a full pass by from farther back but I make each of my videos a matching number like this one 11 min 11 seconds so unfortunately some of the approach had to be cut to get the matching time.
@@mfreund15448 I make the timing numbers match because I think it helps them stand out as a Big tractor Power video and it also keeps everything looking concise and organized in the archives.
Another great video Jason. I am from the Midwest and have not seen one. Of course I am 20 minutes from the Glass Palace for Deere and about the same to Harvester works.
Didn't see a GPS. Is this machine compatible with other programs ? Does it have auto guidance? Also notice some farms are bailing the straw and some dont, curious on their preferences. Great video once again.
I would love to video the guys in Eastern NC harvesting tobacco from the field to the barn and then the finished product! Let me know if you want it. Start priming soon!
I wonder goes much the new New Holland CR11 is gonna cost lol most class 8+ combines are a million dollars nowadays. I remember when you could buy a brand new combine for as little as $350K.
I wonder if the equipment prices will correct? I picked up a very nice 40’ 2162 MacDon last winter for a little over $20k. I can do a little maintenance for the price difference from new.
The 2162 is a nice head. It was built for Case IH from late 2008 through the end of 2011. Its original price tag was $61,424. Draper heads have jumped up in price in the past 13 years. The prices I share in the videos come directly from the manufacturers website.
@@bigtractorpowerThere is a guy here in Denmark who got his Ideal 9 delivered in MF red. And I think there is one in France in green with red rims. 😂 Google it and some pictures and vids from Facebook should pop up.
You are correct. Unfortunately, when I was making my notes for this video, I do thorough research using sales brochures and the original horse power back in 2018 was 392. The max hp was 451 at the time. I miss read my notes and looked at the wrong line and said 451 instead of 598 from the line above. I tried to add too much detail at times and it cost me.
@@bigtractorpower No worries. Wasn't trying to be mean just trying to help out. Appreciate all the information you do add especially on the combines because that info is hard to find, especially their weight.
It is interesting the Ideal is offered as both Fendt and Massey Ferguson in Europe. It was almost the Challenger Ideal combine in the U.S. but it became the Fendt. I just released a video on a Massey Ferguson 9795 combine this week at ua-cam.com/video/XYAutUYmjZA/v-deo.htmlsi=C0iQ2XhoxsaOO-cq
$870K for a introduction combine set up is crazy. Hearing has definitely turned into big business. I wonder if fendt has gone woke like John Deere. It was a sad day on Monday when that news broke. ESG and Bill Gates, is a combo i never expected to hear when talking about farming equipment.
Hah, when i heard the news i vowed to not touch or even look at a John Deere until they pull their head out of their bunghole. That is until i remembered that the farm I start at right away runs JD… god damn it. Who knew making machinery would turn political, but here we are. They should just shut up and build the tractor. While they’re at it, let farmers fix their own damn machine. I disliked JD for that reason as it was, but since their announcement, i’ve found yet another reason to hate them… pathetic
Cool combine I have not seen a fendt combine because here in North Carolina farms focus on cotton peanuts tobacco and sweet potatoes
Those crops would definitely limit grain combine sales but you get see cool peanut combines and cotton pickers
Very good coverage Jason !!
Thank you for watching.
Thank you for your videos tractor power you are the best
I am glad you enjoy the Raul. They are fun to make.
Great video. Brian Brown would say “Power Laddr”. I enjoyed the video.

POWER LADDER!!!!!
Thanks for sharing this I love seeing this kind of stuff you are by far the best UA-cam channel that shows farming

I the 7 is a good sized effective harvester.
That’s a great looking piece of equipment 👍🏻😀
The ideal is a great combine😁👍 thank you for sharing👍👍
The 7 is a harder one to find. It was great to see at work.

Fendt has been gaining allot of ground in Kentucky. There are 5 Ideal combines at my local AGCO dealer at the moment.

A super💯week🏠end
Thank you James. The same to you.
Keep the video's coming
Many more on the way.
Jason, please comment on Deere's plan to import walker combines because "what we offer now are just too large for the small to mid size farmer."

seems just a "little bigger" than the F & F2 i use to work on 😅😅😅
I started on the gleaner e then got the A2 then the F. That sucker is awesome
It’s amazing how big combines have gotten in the past 25 years.
Super💯video
I have wanted to find a 7 to feature for a while.
Hi from Dexter🏠Missouri
😁👋
Do the seven series have the option of the joystick steering?? Great harvester right there!
Only for the 7T. It is not available for the 7.
Would be cool if you had a chance to do a review of Ideal 10 monster of a combine.
You are in luck. I have featured a 10T. The video is posted at ua-cam.com/video/UBFJukRMbVw/v-deo.htmlsi=ImqN57xHlijk79om

Does Fendt still make combines in their traditional colors?
In Fendt Ideal combines are only sold in black. In Europe there is a great range of smaller Fendt combines offered in green.

Small error there in the engine conversion between liters to cubic inches with 9.8l being around 598 cubic inches versus 451 cubic inches.

Apparently those Agco 7 cylinder engines have several reliability issues, according to those in the know.
