- This is part 1 of the Arduino spot welder. I've managed to spot weld a battery with 0.2mm nickel and it's all looking good for the new 350A battery for V3 :-)

Hello mate great info thanks I want to build 72v pack with 100 or 120a countinuse discharge with 18650 the ant bms on the way and I going to dl the app u modify for it I just not sure what cell to use can u pls advice witch1 to get... Spot welder and.8x0.20 mm pure nickel already on the way, by the way any capecity from 20ah to 30ah be good.. Thanks
You could always use it to shock cats back to life that have fallen out of a window?, or as a welder lol.
Knowing me, it's going to be useful as a defibrillator when I give myself a shock by holding the probes mate.....sort of a dual purpose machine really 🤣

I've always wanted to go in a light (acrobatic) aircraft. It's on my bucket list mate!
it's about £200 for a hours lesion mate, your hour consists of 10 minutes safety and 5 mins debrief and 45 in the air

I've done 1,000s of welds and it's still going strong.
The only thing I've done, is upgrade the cabling to 8AWG because the supplied arc welding cables get rather hot!
Andy swearing really! Hahaha ffs im shocked hahaha. So he is just like us then Tony just one of the lads hahaha. Andy's a good lad he just gets stuck in and sorts problems out as he goes hes a true experimenter. The welder looks ok mate iv just ordered one. Lol hope i dont blow me self up coz if theres a way to do it i will find it hahaha.
The difference between me and Andy is a simple one..... I make a sh** load of mistakes and swear loads. Andy does things logically and comes up with a result. I hate him 🤣

I made my own Spot Welder (Microwave hack) for making Inconel sheet metal Combustion Chambers, it's an easy process really. Those cells will be a doddle with that Arduino thingy...I'd hate to see you hack that big Tattu Lipo apart though Tony.
Can't you just use a modest sealed Lead acid and put it on a trickle charger instead.? The current consumption will be really tiny using 6 thou nickel shim....bugger all really.....Honest it will.

Too mate mate, I've already hacked it. I've got no need for any 6s batteries now (especially that size) and I'll probably do the same with the others - I can then use them with my solar projects :-)
Oh yeah, 300A fuse. Believe it or not, it's saying I'm using 1400A pulse when spot welding!
