Caught it 15 mins toward the end. There was something about being there when it was on LIVE; felt I was really in Jersey. Exhilarating, interesting--informative. I'm the one who doesn't like horror flicks. So def to the 'Walrus No' peeps; got scared just watching the making of Tusk, but could appreciate all the work/finesse that went into it. So, I really liked the Quip that um, Chainsaw Massacre really informed the making of Jersey Girl. Funny. I loved Jersey Girl right off the bat. I think the downplay was professional politics of some sort. Say, in Jersey Girl 2.0 or 'What's Your Exit' or some such title, you could touch on the loss of the Dad/Grampa, whether Affleck and Tyler stayed together or not (did she fall for Johnny Depp in his yucky french detective disguise and go off with him because he was better at meeting her emotional needs?) What's small town politics like for the Ben character, are his huge ego needs met in town compared to his music industry job...does he get slapped by Will Smith...You Nevah touch Chris Rock!! Maybe she falls for Chris Rock, he always wanted to be the leading man. How old is the little girl now, how did she grow up? Was she drawn to becoming a nun named Sugarwalls? So many questions. By the by, I was an art student back in the day, and consider myself still an artist/poet whatnot with my taste way above other mere peons. I'm sayin Yoga Hosers was fun, kitchsy, and wait for it...I, in my Royalty, proclaim it to be an ABSURDIST film. On the borderline of being too scary, but because it was so bizarre and stupidly funny was doable for weenies. The guests, Steffen and Nick really shared their knowledge, good stuff. Thanks so much Kevin for your hospitality, it was, 'Phootoomph!' a Great Evening🐏
Yoga Hosers, it just becomes insanity. I'll admit, the only part I was really there for was RALPH effing GARMAN, and although it's not personally a Kev favorite, how can any serious person not respect the love that went into it. That's what I don't get about the vitriolic critics of Kev's work, it all has so much warmth in it, which is something to be severely cherished in this benighted universe.
@@PlayNiceFolks Yeah. As far as Yoga Hosers, I see it as goofy fun. It can also be seen as a parody of horror and the lifetime rom/com genres. It looked at the dynamics in a family and parent/teenage communication. Sort of said, be witless and your kid becomes a crazed Hoser. While yoga is great, and I for one certainly like it, some things that are good have become what we used to call PC, politically correct, and sort of sterilized. That's part of the message or humour in it, as I saw it. As a 'sensitive artist' I also liked the script, pace, sets, costumes and makeup. Especially, the get up for Johnny Depp. To see a leading man, unrecognizable as this elder of the detective species, and for a plu-plus make him guaranteed 'french' with a decent accent. Was what they mean when they use the overused praise, "touche". This was definitely, 'en guarde, touche!' The actors also did a good job playing these roles, delivering them straight and serious when the stuff was up up-roariously funny. A director like David Lynch goes absurd/horrific. While I appreciate the skill, it offends my sensibilities. I like this Shaun of the Dead meets Hallmark tone. Again, that's me. Seems there's a nice menu of items to choose from in Kevin's View Askew Universe and we are heartened and better for it.
I am only here to show how far a person who bases there life around comic books and heros but at the end of the day the support the villains destroying. Change the name of the pod fatman beyond doesn't deserve the play on Batman anymore!
I was going to listen to kevins intro but he seems about as interested in giving it as I am in listening to it. Nice of you to make an effort and dressing up for the occasion.
Grow up bub. Like, life is automatically, under the best of circumstances, going to be filled with unmitigated horror and misery. For all of us...why spread even more negativity. Don't respond, just delete the comment, that's what I'd do, because I've made this kind of comment many times, but when faced directly with how horrible I'm being, usually I admit it and go away for a bit.
Make something better, then. Critics and armchair quarterbacks are the scum of the earth. They can't do the thing they're being critical of, so they crap all over the people who put themselves out there creatively. At least we know @hawgjaw1 has no talent or integrity which renders his opinion no validity. Mouth breathers... Am I wrong?

Faces of death was messed up, but a Serbian film takes the top rank for fucked up movies imo.
Can we get a Q Mike? So we can actually hear these questions, please
I just watched Dogma and have to say, it is probably your best film(this is subject to change).
Hands down his best movie is Jersey Girl. J. Lo dies in the first five minutes and George Carlin is in it lol
@@alma4938 yeah but they beat Jason with priest carlins driver. 1Dogma 2strike back 3 subject to change.
I just wish Clerks 3 would have ended differently...
No, you’re right. Dogma is peak.
Fuck sake, no chairs?

What the hey? You need to have someone to put down. You picked the wrong man. Bring your narrow little mind elsewhere.
Oh grow up, jeezus
HeathenGeek lol, I'll bet you think people who believe in God and Jesus are dumb
TIL Kevin Smith is still alive and making shitty movies
