    Had ultra sound about 8 years ago said fatty liver ..doctor never mention it. Had no idea how serious it was. Doctors suck! Thought I had kidney stone hospital done ct . No stone .Got home paper said chronic liver disease!!! Never drank , never meds unless a antibiotic when needed ..not even a asprin. Was over weight but my sisters are a lot bigger than me...They don't have chrosis! Go figure.

      I think it's pretty sad that all this is happening even though it is not related to drinking, yet we still have cirrhosis, a death sentence non the less. Also to get so sick, in and out of hospital until death...

    i have had a fatty liver for about 10 years now. I have just passed 1000 days without any alcohol. I use a lot of supplements to help with liver health and restoration, like NAC; N-Acetyl-Cystenine, Milk Thisitle, zinc, gluttathione, along with other supplements like multi vitimans, omega threes, iodoral, liposomal which is a great water based vitimin C. I dont know if any of these will help you, but NAC is definately worth taking for your situation. And of course diet is very important. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

      Once you get to cirrhosis stage you have to be very careful on even taking supplements. All your trying to do at cirrhosis stage is basically keep yourself as healthy as you can in hopes of making it to the transplant.

      @@valerielock2374 i did not get to the point of cirrhosis. The doctor said only inflamation of the liver. But that was enough to scare me into not drinking alcohol.

      @@Coffeechat1979 i agree. Natural Path doctors are very good, but usually dont take insurance. My wife and I both used them years ago and they helped us with our thyroid medications and healthy diets. In the Houston area Dr. Steven Hotze was our natural path. NAC is supposed to be very good for the liver, but always check with your Primary doctor.

    • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks for your comment 😊 I don’t take any “natural” supplements and the reason for that is when the liver becomes cirrhotic it doesn’t process things the same way. And some of those can cause more problems because it doesn’t process through the liver. I’m not completely against them just my choice is to not use them

      Doing simple things may make your muscles tired. But for me you could see it. I was a mechanic and could lift a lot. Then I didn’t notice it till all the muscles were gone. It can happen slowly. If you are worried I would recommend seeing your doc

    can cirrosiss always show up on the ultrasound ?

    • @Redneckkenobi
      @Redneckkenobi  Місяць тому

      Yes if cirrhotic it will show under imaging. Generally these days if they do a fibro scan or biopsy it’s to see how far because there may be some hope. Generally is what I found and told. You would see a GI doctor first to determine that

    It’s a lonely disease for sure. I hope a medication comes out but I don’t think so. The liver transplant itself is no cake walk. The myth you go on and live a healthy normal life is not so.

I have Depression that I might not live to see my kid graduate high school is almost too much to bear. Goodluck to everyone because the transplant as described is just terrifying .

      It doesn’t have to be from drinking. Lots of things cause it. Genetics is a big one. As far as soda having anything to do with it I couldn’t tell ya. But to much of anything isn’t good
