- Missouri Star Quilt Company and Jo Morton's new book are on my mind as I finish a couple of quilts and start a small one for a gift. The photographs in Jo's new book were all taken in her home, and I love this book! Such inspiration!

Love Jo Morton as well! And Missouri Star Quilt Company...what an absolute treat to shop there! I live in Eastern Canada but have spent many winters in Arizona and my husband is an enabler to my quilting hobby which has allowed me to go see Jenny in Hamilton 3 times. I have also met her at a guild function in Phoenix. She and her husband came and did a trunk show for us. She is as sweet and funny in person as she is in her videos. By the way if you ever get to Hamilton, not far from there is a quilt shop you would love called Crossroads Quilting. Dont miss it, what a treat! Lots of eye candy and lots of wool and lots of civil war.
I have an enabling husband also! I did meet Jenny at International Quilt Market May 2016. Very gracious lady!

Thanks for sharing Shanda! What a great idea to make smaller quilts. Like Jo, I hand quilt so it would take forever to finish a King size. It get me down some day with all the quilts I want to make. Tell me how do you schedule your day to have time to quilt? Shanda, by any chance you homeschool your children? The things you shared make me think you did! Good Morning new friend! I did not home school my children when they were younger. They are both raised and giving me grandchildren now. :-). I am also an accountant so I have the best of both worlds. I went to college for accounting and work in an accounting office in the morning and go home to my long arm quilting for my customers in the afternoon. And I am blessed to get to walk in the mountains in the evening!! Happy hand quilting! My mother is the hand quilter in the family. She does very nice quilting. Blessings on your day!!
Jo Martin and Kim Diehl use very similar colors and patterns. I think they teamed up too.
