I love how Jenny shows us how to make complicated looking blocks with less work than expected! I love strip sets!
I look forward to Fridays, Jenny's tutorials and 3 grandsons stay over night. Life is good!
I just love your honesty and you show how human you are. Without a doubt you are an amazing teacher! Thank you for all the time you put in to helping those of us who are as challenge or more than you say you are. I'm definitely 'directionally' challenged haha.
I made a "Round the World" quilt years ago with this method. It's wonderful. Thank you for this take on the method. You are wonderful as always!
I Love that you admit you're not perfect 👼🏼. You still make mistakes, LOL.
You remind me this is for fun and a loved one, Not a competition to be Perfect or judged.
"It means little friend". Oh my gosh, that's so adorable. Thanks for sharing that memory. ❤❤
I LOVE FRIDAY MORNINGS!
When I look forward to see what Jenny has cooked up for us this week.
This is a DEFINITE DO.
Thank you!!
I love Jenny! She's not perfect, just like the rest of us, and not afraid to admit it!! I love this quilt.
I did enjoy as usual! Jenny you are too fun! I loved when you talked about the name of the quilt and your story of what you were called! That is what quilting is about...a quilt isn't just another blanket....its a story! thanks for sharing!
I think you have given me the courage to "start" another quilt top and add it to the 6 I already have under construction. Little bits and pieces every day.... slow and steady win the race. Another great one from Jenny..........T.Y.
Jenny, Thanks for sharing. You're so much fun to watch!!
I use my leftover bits to make my granddaughter quilts for her dolls beds!! she'd love these!
Hello, I have always looked at Quilts over the years & thought All them little squares are sewn together 1 by 1 😋 but now I know! 😁💜 This is Beautiful with the Contrast Black 😁💕 Erica x
looks great, not complicated no stress, I think that's what quilting should be
I made 4 quilts for my mother's church ministry (Lutheran World Relief) using this technique! I used 5 1/2" strips and blocks to make a 60x80" quilt!
Glad I saw this again. I have sewed the strips and now to add the fifth dark strip to them. I will try this. And I have to say, your videos are so cheerful and have uplifted my spirits during this time. Thank you so much.
Jenny I always know that you would have an easier way to do something! I just love how you do quilting. Thank you for being my inspiration when I think I don't know what to do next.
I love watching you teach and sew. I also like your honesty about making a mistake.
We all do.
A wow quilt that draws me to my sewing corner right away
Love her energy and passion for what she is doing!
Excellent tutorial. Thanks for showing how to use the leftovers. It'll still make a statement as long as you keep that dark color a really bold color.
I am on my second one of these. Jenny is right, it goes faster after the first one. Even the seam ripping. I really enjoyed this one!
loving this. I have a little boy quilt to do...Finally I know what I am going to do. Thanks Jenny.
oh boy, another nice one, retiring in 1 week....then its high times for quilting.....this one is a gem, thanks again MSQC.
I love watching you daily! I can't wait to scrap bust this quilt!! Love love love you!
Those people whole press thumbs down should be ashamed Jenny does this tutorial free
Jenny, your technique of nesting seams without pinning is so easy! I thought it would be hard to feel but it really works! I never got good joins with pins but the nesting really works!!! Thank you.
I turned 83 in March..have sewn for years. but just could not stand those little pieces to make a quilt.....started out with Elenor Burnes Log Cabin.when it first came out...I was HOOKED big time...you have made it even easier..for this old lady to keep making quilts.
Jenny I love you! You explain very good and it is always a pleasure watching your tutorials
thanks
Emo
:-) Love the Swedish stories. I look forward to Friday mornings like Susie Annei does ... wake up @ 5 am EST, get my 1st cup of morning coffee, and enjoy your company Jenny, while learning new piecing methods.
Jenny I love your tutorials!! Years ago I made a Round the World quilt using this technic but of course I had forgotten all about it!! Thanks for the reminder and thanks for teaching us new tricks.
love this pattern .... thank you for showing all of us how easy it is. love the tutorials
Friday never comes fast enough! It's worth the wait. It's like Christmas every Friday!
Thank you Joan for sharing this great method. I love the way the strong plain colour leads the eye, and thank you for admitting that you didn't unpick the correct seam when you first tried this method. Makes us feel better as we go along!
Reminds me of how a Bargello Quilt is made. Love this one.
You're a magician! I would love to witness one of your brainstorms firsthand! This is such a beautiful quilt and an awesome way to make it!
I love this block and how you make it look so easy. It's a good way to practicing getting your points to match. Practice makes perfect. Lots of fun. Lol.
Thank you Jenny for another fab tutorial x Enny craft commented that this is a basic quilt that's been around for years! But I haven't! I am new to this and like the majority of your viewers I am soooo grateful to you for taking the time to teach us newbies how to create these beautiful patterns with a modern twist x
Tricia Sage actually that was my comment to enny craft. They said it was Bonnie's quilt but it's so basic I'm assuming it's been around long before her. ;-)
Love this pattern. Looks so technical but easy for a beginner. Thank you 🌸❤️😊
Love seeing this one all over again!
Love the way that all came together😀👏👏single blocks would make adorable cushion covers I reckon. Thanks again Jenny for a great tutorial.
I really enjoy your videos. You are concise and reassuring, it really helps a lot and builds confidence to try something new 😊
Wow you were not joking, this is a different way to sew HOW FUN!! I can't wait to try this! 💟 your videos and the way you teach us how to quilt❣️
I absolutely love the colors of this quilt! This is going in slot #3 of the queue.
Jenny, I enjoy your tutorials so much. You make it so easy to put together quilts that look amazing.
luv it. i was wanting to make a bargello quilt for a while but it used to look so complicated. your tutorial make it look so much simpler. thank you so much.
I always love your way of showing how to do it Thanks for sharing it with the world xx
Tumbled down a Pinterest rabbit hole of scrappy trip blocks this morning and then thought "hey, I think Jenny and Missouri Star did a video on that that's in my favorites." Looking forward to working on one of these this winter.
I followed this technique to use up my stash of 2.5 scraps. I needed 13” of each strip and put scrappy reds for my “focus strip.” It turned out great. Made it extra long so hubby could have his own quilt for his side of the bed. I think it weighs a lot because of all those quarter-inch seam allowances! Wish I could leave you a photo.
Luv luv luv you and your videos. Thank you so much, Jenny. God bless...
JENNY YOU ARE MY IDOL!!! I LOVE YOU JENNY , PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL QUILT.
I love this site, been on it all morning seeing and learning so much. I finally can make a tumbling block, 9 patch on point, and now crossing paths...thank you giving all quilters this web site. Love It..
Love these tutorials so simple & best of all easy! I'd love to bottle your energy Jenny! Thank you.
really nice to see the dark fabric instead of always the light.
I love that method! It was my first ever quilt lesson! Long time ago but I had almost forgotten that. Thank you Jenny
Your iron lifts itself up!!!! Thank you for this! I was wanting something fun and beautiful to make for a family member and now I think I know what it's gonna be! Thank you!
I have a jelly roll wasn't sure what to do with it - here is my pattern! Great idea! Thanks
By my 3am calculations this would be 10.5 / 10 inch finished blocks and 4 together to make the pattern would make it them 20 inches finished .... I love the idea of a scrappy quilt using this method .... I cut jelly strips to set aside every time I cut fabric so now have a huge box of them to use. THANKS FOR THE FUN PROJECT.
I love this quilt, thank you Jenny.
haha! I hear you telling me to nest my seams when I am sewing. Thank you Jenny! I love your teaching methods and shortcuts. Everything you do is so fun!
I love making Bargello type quilts.. Lovely. :)
I don't do quilting...I don't even like quilting, but I watch the tutorial because I just love watching this lady teach...awesome!
Great tutorial as always. Always wanted to make a quilt like this!
Another to be added to "to do" list. Thank you again Jenny, 💖
Love this cute! Jenny makes it look so much easier!
Jenny, you're the best...love the tutorial...
Wow! One more project I want to do! I love the old fashioned quilts! Thank you, Jennie!
That fabric is beautiful!
I miss this Jenny😊❤ Cheerful, straight to the point, and giving clear, simple instructions. The newer videos feel over-produced to me. That's just me y'all, don't get your undies in a bunch, I still love me some Jenny 😉
Hi and thanks a million! I’m always amazed at all the designs we can make with playing with fabrics! Thanks for sharing your expertise! Your tutorials are always fun to watch! 😎🌸
OMG! What a fabulous technique! Love, ❤️, the splash of salmon! Thank you so much 😊
Love this quilt Jenny ~ thank you for sharing!
This is just the cutest! Jenny, thanks so much for sharing any bumps in the road we might run into along the way! It sure helps us to make the job easier! Love your videos!
Yes! Now I know what I'm doing with my jelly roll!! :)
I have to make this quilt. I love the way you do this. ❤️
Holy moly! That's a lot of seams to match up......someday, I'll be ready to try this one!!
You are a wonder. You make it all look easy, and make me feel like I might be able to do this! Thank you!
I’m making this quilt (different fabric line)....so pretty!
I just got done sewing the strips together ina block but I have not sewn the blocks together to make the quilt. I was so bad for ripping out where I shouldn’t. But I cannot wait to get it together. I used the radiance batik with black. It’s so bright and colorful. Thank you so much for showing us how to do this quilt.
I don't know how to quilt but I love watching you. You're so passionate about it, it's inspirational!
Ashley Meade I found Jenny makes it so simple it inspires you :) books can make it seem unfathomably complicated, then you watch Jenny and your grabbing the fabric. Soon you will have to negotiate with yourself that you already have enough fabric for 4 quilts and really should put the fabric down but..... :)
I'm with Moonie Pie. I didn't even know how sew 3 years ago and I've now made 6 quilts. I'm working on 2 right now and have 3 more in the works. Once you get going you kind of become addicted. It's beautiful art and Jenny definitely makes it easy. None of my quilts was perfect but people don't care. You can't make a quilt without pouring some love into it. Somehow that add a priceless value to it. You can do it!! :)
Hopefully you'll try your hand at quilting soon, Ashley! You'll do great!
Always love your tutorials
Reminds me of bargello technique! Thank you!
Another great idea Jenny. Thanks keep them coming, I really enjoy your videos. X
Love, suas aulas. Tudo parece tão fácil e perfeito. Obrigada pela companhia .
Love this and have to try it soon. Thank you Jenny 👍
Thanks for sharing all of your quilt tutorials. I love all of them and you are so good at teaching. You make quilting fun!!
Love this quilt and your great tutorials. Thanks
This would be a great pattern to use just 2 colours, blue and white, etc.,
Will be pulling out my jelly rolls to give it a try. Love it.
I love this! On my "To Do List"
I have always wanted to do one like this...thanks so much!
Sneaky! I didn't guess that this was a bargello quilt when I first saw it. I do like how you kept the strips equal size for the square look. I like the layout too.
Love your tutorials! I watch them over and over. I wish you would do more bed size quilts tho. It would be very helpful to see the patterns develop as a larger size and get the requirements for fabric.
My Mom's family was Swedish also, and one of my aunts called me "lila ven" as well!
This looks like fun!
Thanks for fixing the link. Love your videos. :)
Great quilt! I would recommend that you use a bold color thread for sewing, so you can see the stitches for picking. This design would also work with left over strips that you have from jelly rolls for a scrappy look. One could use "Grid Printed Fusible Interfacing" whereby you place the squares on the fusible interfacing web and sew rows horizontal and then vertical with only having to pick a few stitches on each row. If you don't want to place out the entire quilt top you could cut the fusible interfacing web by block size.
Really like your tutorial .wish I had time to. Make all those quilts.
How appropriate for the time of social distancing. Thank you again for all your videos.
