Thank you Jenny for another fab tutorial x Enny craft commented that this is a basic quilt that's been around for years! But I haven't! I am new to this and like the majority of your viewers I am soooo grateful to you for taking the time to teach us newbies how to create these beautiful patterns with a modern twist x

Tricia Sage actually that was my comment to enny craft. They said it was Bonnie's quilt but it's so basic I'm assuming it's been around long before her. ;-)

Ashley Meade I found Jenny makes it so simple it inspires you :) books can make it seem unfathomably complicated, then you watch Jenny and your grabbing the fabric. Soon you will have to negotiate with yourself that you already have enough fabric for 4 quilts and really should put the fabric down but..... :)

I'm with Moonie Pie. I didn't even know how sew 3 years ago and I've now made 6 quilts. I'm working on 2 right now and have 3 more in the works. Once you get going you kind of become addicted. It's beautiful art and Jenny definitely makes it easy. None of my quilts was perfect but people don't care. You can't make a quilt without pouring some love into it. Somehow that add a priceless value to it. You can do it!! :)

I followed this technique to use up my stash of 2.5 scraps. I needed 13” of each strip and put scrappy reds for my “focus strip.” It turned out great. Made it extra long so hubby could have his own quilt for his side of the bed. I think it weighs a lot because of all those quarter-inch seam allowances! Wish I could leave you a photo.
Luv luv luv you and your videos. Thank you so much, Jenny. God bless...

I bought a half-pint jellyroll (20 strips) from Joann Crafts store and was enthralled by the colors and patterns not realizing that Jenny was using a pint (40 strips) jellyroll. My half-pint jellyroll had 5 prints per repeat and three of them were directional. I feared the shifting of the tube (past experience), so I left it flat to cut my block sets. I did have to sew block strips 2-6 individually into tubes and then follow Jenny's directions for ripping them apart. On the Strip set seams, from the back, I pressed strips 2 & 4 & 6 seam allowance out, this made all seams nest beautifully. I didn't want to have to deal with twisted seams when pressing. I devoutly pin all my seams. Strip set A had the Pathway square fabric on top. I made one strip set and sewed one block. I liked it so I proceeded on. Each strip set yielded 17 strips, so I got 2 blocks + 5 strips per Strip set A. So I had to turn block 2 of row 1 90 degrees to make the colors line up but then had to do some creative pressing to nest the seams for sewing. I got row 1 sewn together and was getting ready to start on Row 2. I realized there was no way to make the blocks of row 1 flip around to match on all 4 corners and keep the integrity of the secondary pattern for row 2. After studying it on my design wall I realized that I had to mirror image the first block of the row to match all 4 corners and have the pathway going in both directions. Every row will have to be mirror imaged horizontally, thus you will only have 2 blocks to duplicate across the row. Then I realized that row 2 had to mirror image row 1 vertically. So strip Set B I started with the bottom strip of Strip set A on top and mirrored it vertically. Now my Pathway square fabric was on the bottom. I followed the same steps of row 1 to make row 2. Odd numbered rows 1-3-5 are from Strip set A and even numbered rows 2-4 are from Strip Set B.
