Experience and skills beyond his age when he entered the league as a rookie. More experience in a professional league than basically all American collegiate athletes going up to the NBA.

Anze Kopitar, Goran Dragic, Jan Oblak, Tadej Pogacar and now Luka Doncic. Slovenia barely has 2 million people, the population of Houston in Texas, yet they seem to spit out world class athletes left and right.
You forgot Roglič gold medal OI Tokio, Janja Garnbret gold medal ( sport climbing ), Savšek gold medal ( kanu ) Tina Trstenjak silver medal ( judo) and we could list more!🇸🇮💪
Bro no lie hes gonna be a champ hes gonna be mvp. Luka is tbh one of the best ive ever seen. So young. He’s definitely gonna win at least one. Mavs need to go all in. If we gotta trade kp we’ll have to do it.
At 5:30 he had another big accomplishment that wasn't mentioned, he won Eurobasket (he played for Slovenia) and he was the second best player on his team on that championship (back then Goran Dragic played better than Luka).
It's fascinating to see the films of him as a nine-year old kid walking with the ball on layups, just like he does today. He learned well! I'm old enough to remember the cardinal rule of basketball: you're allowed two steps with the ball, if you want to do three, you have to dribble. Watching games these days is painful because today that rule is long gone. Players have to cheat to get the layups, and that's the kind of action the fans like to see --- fast stuff. When I was a kid the college game didn't have a 24-second clock. I remember one game in the Midwest that was decided 22 to 21. Some of the things they've done are good --- the long-distance shots have tossed back a lot of that old "seven foot tall or don't bother showing up". But the cheers of the fans are what drives it, and that is why the refs throw games one way or the other with all their bad calls --- witness Cleveland vs. Oakland in the 20-teens. The game's a basket case now. Pretty pathetic.
Loved the vid'! The only thing I think he still needs to master is his body condition. If he can get close to something like Lebron or CR7, he'll be truly historic.

He and other great Non-American players are AMAZING, Most of the Americans just can't admit it because they think the world revolves around them. They got child-like small-minded ego.
We as Americans recognize that Non American born players are amazing, that's why we draft them to play with the best players on the planet with the best League on the planet the best should play with the best not the subpar competition and leagues not in America when somebody besides the Americans win Gold maybe we'll lose our child-like small-minded ego
You show respect by properly using capitals with American then you attack us? Whatever, we love Luka and we are not giving him back.
@@teabagger0871 For every action is a reaction you can read the bitterness in these statements about America and you talk about being attacked. I'm a Dallas Maverick fan and Luka fan and even if I wasn't there's no denying his greatness. I posted cause of the name calling of Americans cause some got it wrong out of the hundreds that were said to be the next great finally you got one and they act like how could you not see it, what about all the scrubs before him that failed.
@@christophergray3669 Australia just won bronze in basketball and no one in Australia cares about basketball. Its a fringe sport. Its tiny here. With your population, the popularity of basketball in The USA and the amount of money and systems in place to develop talent in your country USA shouldn't even lose a game. Yet you do. If USA doesn't win gold that would be so embarrassing. The gap between USA and other countries should actually be much larger.

Luka has been arguably the most fun-to-watch along with Curry and Kyrie. There’s a good chance he could average a triple-double in a season shortly. Dončić has unbelievable vision and basketball IQ, not just for someone his age but for an NBA star in general. Add the clutch gene and the “it factor” on top of all this, and you have Luka Dončić. He could be the face of the NBA in just a few short years.
He is the wrong color to be the "face" of the NBA. They'd call it white supremacy or some shit
Luka is beyond Curry and definitely beyond Crying Kyrie
Kobe, Jordan, Lebron, Durant these guys were playing with grown men from age 17-18. Luka was playing with grown men at 15-16. Damn!!
respect is due!
More of these please Mo. Great content
got you!
Proud of Luka!! Thank you!
thank YOU!
Luka was responsible for making me interested in Euro basketball.
It's hard to believe that this absolute Chad is my age.
Makes me want to hit the gym even harder.
"...in Sacramento Kings fashion, the Sacramento Kings messed up."
LOL
ahhahah
Experience and skills beyond his age when he entered the league as a rookie. More experience in a professional league than basically all American collegiate athletes going up to the NBA.
After a slow start this year do to coming into the season overweight, then got Covid and had an ankle injury, in the past few weeks he has shown he is playing at an even higher level than ever before....which is kind of scary.
quality content, man! more Luka vids pls
thank you sir! i already have a few other is you search on my channel page! hopefully more great moments this season
You deserve to have x100 more subbs. That was really good video man. Thanks

It's a hell of a vid bro! I just came here to watch what kind of new things I'll find out about Luka and didn't expect too much to be honest, but it simply makes me want to see what else have you got out there on your channel, I see that you're quite fresh man on YT, but if the quality will be as good as this one, you'll definitely have my sub. Thanks for this cool story man! Luka is life, Luka is love! :)
Great job, thank you!
Respect!
thank you!
The kid is from my country and as a Slovenian i am proud of him
Luka was by far would have been my first pick in that draft, as was Curry in his draft class. Intangibles are just as important than tangibles.
God damn, this is a good channel. Great work.
thank you sir!
proved me right, I've been calling the next best player in the world since he was 15.
As a euro knick fan who communicates with alot of American fans on a knick fan forum i can confirm there where ALOT of american Knicks fans who where all for tanking for Luka and taking him number one.. alot of people knew. For gods sake Ryan Hollins saw it coming ( tbf he saw him live, it doesn't take more honestly to be convinced) it doesn't take a genius.
imagine luka at MSG every night.... unbelievable scenes!
@@HoopGenius no thanks, from mavs fan !
Luka is a mensch! Great piece you've done on him.
Anze Kopitar, Goran Dragic, Jan Oblak, Tadej Pogacar and now Luka Doncic. Slovenia barely has 2 million people, the population of Houston in Texas, yet they seem to spit out world class athletes left and right.
amazing!
You forgot Roglič gold medal OI Tokio, Janja Garnbret gold medal ( sport climbing ), Savšek gold medal ( kanu ) Tina Trstenjak silver medal ( judo) and we could list more!🇸🇮💪
Thanks for the great content👍. Keep it up boy💪
thank you, I definitely will!
Love JT I member his saying when the MAVS were playing in the finals & WON 2011 !!!
2 favorite player. .Bron and luka🔥🐐🐐
legendary
Bro no lie hes gonna be a champ hes gonna be mvp. Luka is tbh one of the best ive ever seen. So young. He’s definitely gonna win at least one. Mavs need to go all in. If we gotta trade kp we’ll have to do it.
Luka is a beast I definitely know he's gonna win a couple of chips and he's only 22 competing, beating elite players in there're prime. That's crazy
Doncic travels just as much as Giannis. And he didn't come from the US either. Lol
Google what a gather step is you big doofus. They changed the rules and it is not a travel.
@@RuthyLook really when does he travel? and watch you NOT respond to this lmao xd

Very good job sir. Hi from Ljubljana.
Thank you so much. Sending my best wishes to you!
Loved the vid'! The only thing I think he still needs to master is his body condition. If he can get close to something like Lebron or CR7, he'll be truly historic.
thank you! i noticed that a lot of nba players take this more seriously as they get older, i don't doubt that Luka has people around him telling him the same thing!
Dude he breaks records every game he plays what you talking about if he had AD lebron wouldn't have won in 2020 or even be in contention over Luka .
His physique is deceptive...hes not a shredded type...but underneath the exterior layer of fat is some muscle
Very well done, good job
thank you very much!
Everyone : Luka Doncic
Stephen A smith : Luka Donchick
Donchich is a better transliteration than either of those

He definitely special and NBA fans recognized his talent real fast
@1:20 You mentioned him as being born on March 8, 1998 while his actual birthday is February 28, 1999... Yes I am a fan of Luka since he was playing with Real Madrid so I pay attention to such details.. Thank you for the the video though

So, much respect for the breakdown. But as for Europeans who made an impact on the NBA. Just want to give respect to Drazen Petrovic.
wow. very high quelity video. thank you man
Its his... what... fourth season? the worst thing he can do to himself is to overwork and damage himself. I hope someone is telling him against it. How many times have we seen it? vc? tmac? drose? even kobe. Rest is important. You dont want him to be injured and lose everything. This is as close to a new goat we can get.
