I think the main clue that it isn’t the real Nick Fury is when they talk about the different earth’s. He says Beck is from earth just not “your” earth. Your earth not our earth, so easy to miss that comment but it indicates that he isn’t or doesn’t consider himself from earth at all. I mean we all know why now but it would have been a great Easter egg if they didn’t reveal it till much later (like a couple of movies later

It also helps with Mysterio being part of the story, throughout the film I was constantly feeling like something was off about him but I couldn’t tell what it was and chalked it up to Mysterio hypnotising him or Fury being an illusion
We should have seen that Nick & Maria were Skrulls when giving excuses to where the other heroes where: - Thor was off world but then you remember that New Asgard is on earth & they can contact him. - Dr. Strange being unavailable was stupid since if these Elementals have been mystic by nature which falls under his jurisdiction. - Fury not wanting Peter to invoke her name seems suspect as if they know Carol can identify that they're Skrulls.
Cuz it warns him of threats and dangers, Fury wasnt threat and Peter wasnt in danger, so nothing for his spidey-sense to warn him about, had Fury tried to tranq him, then it should have warned, but he didnt
The Mysterio twist was very obvious for anyone even remotely familiar with Spider-Man lore. But the Nick Fury in FFH being a Skrull was a very nice twist.
i knew mysterio is always the bad guy in spiderman but since we already touch multiverse , time travel in endgame all i think is "well maybe this one the good one" ....
it was an okay twist at best until they did nothing with it and gave us a Nick fury making out with a skrull in a show most people people didn't even watch and the ones that did wish they hadnt.

And yet at 5:01, Peter is SHOCKED to learn about the existence of other universes, and the scientific implications of that. Why is that funny to me? Because of all the plot holes you can poke into the MCU, this has GOT to be the nerdiest.

If the actual Mysterio (not of this version, but a Multiversal version) pops up... He won't be on Fury's side at all. He would've killed everyone in this room itself. Mysterio only wants what he wants for himself. He doesn't have morality equal for others except for his beloved.
It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to imagine a Multiversal variant of Mysterio doing that. Especially considering how very nearly close he came to almost executing William Ginter Riva for a mistake he accidentally made involving the drone technology.

3 years since this film came out and somehow y'all still haven't realized that his Spider-Sense wasn't fully functional at this point in the movie.
In the comics, the Skrull were able to evade detection via Wolverine's sense of smell, Dr. Strange's metaphysical abilities, and spidey-sense.

Beck's wrong! That is Earth 199999. Earth 616 is the comic world og that world. The fact that it's Aunt May who tells him of Great Power is the proof that that Peter is not from Earth 616, and the fact that he hasn't dated Gwen Stacy is even more proof that it's not Earth 616!
