Omg when Bruce said “Thor’s gone” the fear went right into Tony knowing one of there most powerful hitters was gone
Thor was arguably the heaviest hitter on the team since he had strength comparable to hulk along with the skill/experience to use it perfectly. There’s also the fact that Thor is very smart and has lightning powers
It just made me realize the impact of Thor arriving during Wakanda. They all thought he was dead.
@@elseby Big question: How the hell did Thor know exactly where to go to on Earth to fight Thanos and his armies?
Their*
He knew about Reality, Space and Power stones, didn't know about location of either Soul or Time stones, so his best bet was to get to Vision/mind stone. I assume he just went to where spaceships were when coming to Earth
I just realized, age of ultron is like 2 days ago for bruce if you think about it
Oh shit you right
Exactly. He left right after the battle that ended it.
Yeah that's exactly right, he spent literally one or two days in space as Bruce before turning into the hulk again
*Ragnarok
@@tx_7134 oh ffs, he was in space as the Hulk for 2 years. He asked Thor in Ragnarok, did we save Sokovia and Thor told him that was 2 years ago, and it felt like yesterday for Bruce, because he was the Hull for 2 years
The subtle response Strange has to Tony saying Cap is the only one who could find vision is a great hint to show that Strange and pretty much the whole world knows about their falling out
Ya, subtle details like this make me love mcu even more.
Or he reacted that way because at this point Cap was a Secret Avenger
In WandaVision, Darcy has full details about what was going on in Wakanda during Infinity War, up to Vision's death. I guess the Avengers have been fully upfront and transparent about their activities to the whole world to build up trust

Stark and Strange's argument is basically a disguise of Downey and Cumberbatch arguing who is a better Sherlock Holmes.
Lol right?
The answer to that question is obviously Cumberbatch.

I love this scene because u can see tonys expression of: we are losing this and it hasnt eveng begun
Yes and when he Bruce told him thors gone... You gotta put your ego aside... He was really terrified and was like okay now this is worse
This is the best comment I have ever seen 😂😂😂👍
eveng
His expression is more of a “This what i’ve been preparing for,The time has come” More than “we are losing and it hasn’t even began”
So true
I love that when Strange is talking to Tony, he is practically talking to his former self.
And tony in vice versa
I choose to se a Sherlock face off.
You can even say... Sherlock Holmes is talking to his former self
I’d say it’s more like the other way around since tony was the less arrogant one by this point, he lost most of his arrogance around the time of iron man 3 and age of ultron
Nah Tony Stark is a million times cooler
You can see in Bruce's eyes how desperate he was for Tony to call Steve. He was saying like "Thanos just killed one of the strongest Avengers, whatever conflict you had with Cap is nothing compared to what Thanos could do"
And tony likely realized it too, hence why he was about to make the call before ebony maw arrived
You can’t kill him banner knows because the hulk already tried…until iron man in end game
@@jakealter5504 but in the end, he didnt do it
@@mosubekore78 he literally only had seconds between considering making the call and when the attack began
He might have been more understanding if he had known why exactly Tony and Cap were not on speaking terms.
Its sad we won't have more scene between strange and stark, their banter was just amazing
What If Tony never died?
yes i absolutely love their dynamic. they both have similar backgrounds too!
@@potatwos3149 both were very arrogant but stranges arrogance was directly responsible for his downfall while Tony’s change started not because of something related to his arrogance but due to a betrayal
@@jakealter5504 well; tony used to be arrogant and chasing the money creating rockets and missiles holding a lot of responsibility for war ammunition (Iron Man 1) after he had been saved from the Dr. In the cave, and having a change of heart (literally and figuratively) he decided to use his knowledge to actually help others, than destroy.
@@joshspades9031 I fully agree with you. The main difference between Tony and Strange is that even during his arrogant phase tony was rarely cold to other people and was willing to hang out with the grunts (the soldiers that were in the hummer with him before the attack). Strange just came off as a cold hearted asshole. It’s a different type of arrogance. Tony’s was more like a mask to cover up most of his personal problems such as the regrets he had regarding his parents and probably feeling pretty lonely
This was for me an amazing scene. This is why Civil War would never have happened if Bruce had been there. The way he get's through to Tony is so beautiful and reminds him that what's happened between himself and Cap has gone on long enough and this is now bigger than a falling out. It's time to reunite the Avengers. Even when Tony tries to object Bruce shakes his head like "I don't wanna hear it, you know what you need to do. Now call Steve and put it to bed."
Bro deadass i was just thinking about what you said the other day. I was thinking that maybe if bruce had been there he would've been able to get through to Tony about how wrong the accords are.
Great minds think alike
Nothing would have stopped the breakup of the Avengers because ultimately it wasn’t the Accords that broke them up, it was Steve lying to Tony about his parents’ death that destroyed that relationship, unless Bruce managed to get Steve to tell Tony what happened earlier, Civil War still would have went down the way it did.
@@CaptainPikeachu No it wouldn't have. Bruce is the heart of the group, its very soul. Everyone listens to Bruce and they would have listened then. It is only by circumstance that Civil War happened, based on guilt, emotion and rage. Bruce has all that in one. And he would have gotten through to everyone. Hulk may be the most powerful, but he always is the most rational and healing of the group.
@Abigail Hoffer they did get along but there was a bit of unresolved tension, from the first Avengers all the way to Civil War. It just all boiled over in the end.
Tony's "this is it" sends chills down my spine every time.
It's also a call back to Tony's nightmare from Wanda about the big war that was going to happen. (Ultron movie)
Same!! Wittingly or unwittingly, he’d been preparing for that moment for years. He knew it was coming

When Bruce said 'Thor's gone' Tony was more scared than his ego. This shows how strong thor is
Because Thor could hold his own against the Hulk... arguably beat him. If Thor couldn't beat this guy solo ... what hope does the rest of the team have?
Not really much of a comparison since Tony’s ego was basically gone by infinity war
No. It shows how strong Thanos is and they're low on personnel.
@@moxyblackfiddler besides tony loving thor he also got scared because thor’s one of their heaviest hitters and shit got serious
@@jakealter5504 honestly I wish that were true. By this point he should’ve been far less argumentative when it came to emergency matters. But at the start of Endgame, he blamed Cap for everything that went wrong and never admitted that he made mistakes too and was just as responsible. His ego wasn’t gone until he decided to sacrifice himself and take the Stones.
Thanos is and always will be the boldest and coolest villain marvel has had in movies. He made 10 years pf wait worth and that is remarkable

"The end of the path I started as on." When Tony heard that Thanos was the one that sent Loki and connected all the dots in his head, he knew that this was the final battle and everything was building up to this moment. He remembered his vision from AoU and that everyone was a candidate for death.
us* but yeah true
This may be off topic but I see you play db legends as well.
A man of culture.
I had forgotten that everyone thought Thor was dead during the battle of Wakanda. That makes the scene more epic. I really like how they wrote the line and how Mark delivered it. It really put in perspective that somethings going to happen and feuds don't matter at this point.
Tony, Peter and Strange knew; the Guardians admitted they'd met him. The Earth contingent, on the other hand, were indeed clueless.
@@MrSprigg But Thor appeared on EARTH 🌎 and in Wakanda Captain America, Black widow, Banner didn't know about it, you can see the surprised in their faces, when they saw him, they thought he was dead, Tony was also surprised when Starlord mentions Thor, and he asked when did he saw him, he basically told Stark that they just saw him and that yes he was alive , you knew Tony truly believed that Thor was dead, but Tony found out about it on ship in another planet with no way at that point to tell Banner that Thor was alive, so the Avengers that were on earth didn't know that Thor was alive.
When Bruce said that Thor's gone. Tony looked as if he was saying, ' All this while when we (Avengers) are fighting among ourselves and so caught up in our own beliefs, we never stopped to think where Thor was or whether he was in need of help. Now he's gone'. Unknown to Tony, Thor survived.
Thor said at the end of AoU that he was going to sort out what's happening out there and who's manipulating the previous events on earth and Asgard. Bruce meant Thor is dead. Which was a blow too strong.
Funny how Thanos ended up reuniting the Avengers once more by becoming their common enemy
Real life history has proven that multiple times -- even when multiple smaller groups are enemies with each other, if a bigger threat comes along and threatens them all, then the former enemies join hands to bring down the common enemy. That's where "An enemy of my enemy is my friend" comes from.

Strange was right. The time stone wasn't just their best chance of beating Thanos, it was their only chance. Not by keeping it from him, but by giving it to him willingly. I also appreciate the brilliance of Robert Downey Jr.'s acting in this scene, because you can see in his heart of hearts he's absolutely _terrified_ and struggling on the outside to look calm and clever, and just "think" his way out of it like he does with all of his other problems. You're seeing a man having to confront his own weakness. When we see him post Thanos round 1, he's almost given up all hope.
"Can't think your way out of everything Tony, sometimes it's just a slog and there's no guarantee any of it will even be worth it in the end. Maybe you just fail, that's part of some stories too." That's what's going through his mind when he asks "...what's his name again...".
You can hear that waver in his voice as he struggles to stay in the moment and not in his own head.

So I do not trust Ross is simply going to leave the Avengers alone even after he was resurrected with the other half in the universe and the Avengers defeated Thanos.

3:00. I wish we could of seen Tony have a more visceral reaction to Thor being presumptively dead

Peter 3 / Andrew Garfield: "I knew it Peter One! You were in a band!"
I like how Wong skipped showing the time stone in his magic hologram so that his homie Dr Strange can present the real one like a gangsta. That's called being your homeboy.
The chemistry in this scene is amazing
Tony was right. The time stone turned out to be Thanos' best chance against them in latter part of the movie. Without it, Thanos wouldn't have acquired the mind stone from Vision and completed all six of the infinity stones. They should have destroyed the the time stone in the beginning.
Yes but then Thanos would have gone berserk and killed everyone because him failing his life long plan and that would have been worse because then now Tony may not solve the time travel due to different reasons, maybe because his death from Thanos? Like we already know, Strange saw 14 million 605 futures where he probably saw that destroying the time stone probably didn't work.
Rurffalos delivery on "you lost another superbot" is so good.
Even though we know Thor isn’t dead, it’s really chilling the way Bruce says “Thor’s gone” and you can see the weight of that statement sink in for Tony. It also makes Thor’s arrival at the end that much more of an amazing moment.
The peak of the MCU
when Banner said Thor is again
it is not just about losing the most powerful avenger but also the other help he can give in the fight since Thor know more about the universe and has thousand of years of experience
