  • Watch a digestible breakdown of my step-by-step process building a fully customized portable production PC build. This has been a goal of mine for some time - a challenge on many levels. I custom built every single component, from the screws to custom GPU and screen mounts.
    It's 22 inch Small Form Factor monster.
    Part 1: The PC build.
    Part 2: Making custom cables and cable management.

      @@howard1905 Hey! Ha ha yea, my solution would be more comfortable to transport. Airflow is good. I haven't looked at numbers in a while, but it's basically open desk, so as good as it can be. I do heavy real time rendering projects in UE5 and time to time heavy gaming and all good, no issues and fans not even running at maximum.

    Sensational, it's been almost a year I've been thinking about putting together a project like this with this 1525 pelican, but with a 3070 rtx for its size, however you showed that it's possible with a 3080 congratulations... I confess that yes 'I'm a layman when you comes to the assembly of cables I was discouraged kkkkkk. You chose ryzen over intel due to board size or processor preference? I saw in a forum that if there is a water cooler, security might want to analyze and maybe even prevent the luggage from going ahead...that's why your model is ideal

    • @MarisFreimanis
      @MarisFreimanis  3 роки тому +2

      Yep it is possible. It's very tight lol but still possible. I just prefer Rayzen over Intel atm. Rayzen is just better price / performance. And I just like AMD chip MB better right now.
      Yea, water cooling not goanna work if you ever want to fly with it. Still 100ml rule apply, so you would need to empty it every time you want to fly.

    I'm looking build something similar. Probably go with GPU amd5 since I want to power it off a built in battery pack. Thinking of reversing monitor (still in lid) but make it double lid with the outside detachable containing keyboard and mouse. So bulk of case facing away from you. Speakers in main case facing you under monitor. Not sure size of monitor, Best buy has a 31" 1ms HP monitor for $200. will be a fun project. Not nearly as fancy as this though. Nice video!

    How long is the aluminum bar for the monitor bar? And how much did you bend at the end? Tia!

    • @MarisFreimanis
      @MarisFreimanis  2 роки тому

      Hey, it's 1/8 aluminum, can't remember length, but it was standard one, they sell at Home Depot. Just bend it, and then cut off length that sticks out. Bend it just by feeling lol. It's aluminum, so it will be easy to fix if you over/ under do it. Trickiest I think is to calculate where exactly you need to start to bend, to get bend in right place. But once again, that aluminum thing is optional, you can mount monitor right at your case back. I use aluminum bars, just so I can have screws at sides instead of back, just cosmetic preference, not really impact in overall build.

  • @StefanSu91

    hey dude! this build looks sweet!! How does it hold up to overheating? I have been wanting to try building a portable pc like this for work since I use a lot of 3D modeling software that takes a bunch of ram and gpu power. • @MarisFreimanis
      @MarisFreimanis  3 роки тому +8

      Well you can't throw it out of the window for sure. Case protects it well from falling objects, but if you drop it it will most probably damage something, becouse everything is hard attached to case. To make it really shock proof I would need bigger case and make some kind of spring mount that would absorb impact.
      Look it as a phone case, it may absorb some impact, but if you drop it good, it will be bad 😂

    Brother, you are great, I was thinking about this system. Does it work? It works.
    How many lb is this system?
    To save space, it is necessary to smash the system and thin out all the motherboards. This is quite difficult.
    My dream is to produce a 110 Volt or 240 Volt system laptop with a company or a insane man.
    I want to start with a Vesa1000 standard display by converting the MSI Creator 17 A10SGS.
    Available in 17.3" UHD (3840x2160), MiniLED, HDR 1000, 60Hz, IPS Level.
    OR 19 inch display 4K VESA1200 OLED to produce 120hz
    Inspired by the Pro-WS-WRX80E-SAGE-SE-WIFI for weight loss, it will be shredded and thinned and the power ski will be placed behind the screen.
