Such a timeless song. You could play this song in a million years and it would never feel dated.
İ played it already a millon times already 😁 but yet kurt`s cover with all The unlimited love to Bowie were much lovelier, he seemed to sense and feel each Letter of it altough The one who wrote it on a personal feeling was The legend David Bowie, ironic, isn`t it?? ¡
Timely and timeless
It’s such an ethereal song. It’s ancient and ahead of its time.
WtF i agree 2 diff worlds
Kurt took his song and he took Kurt's hair😁
Kurt never takes anything from anyone he was 100% original 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂🙏
@@rinmikashung2431 OP was talking about the fact that Bowie wrote The Man Who Sold The World when he was 19. Its his song. And Nirvana did a cover of it. Masterfully may i add. Miss these legends.
Then Kurt took his own life
bowie had this hair in the 70s.
I don’t know who’s the man who sold the world, but I do know the man who had mesmerized the world for 5 decades. Thank you David Bowie!
I know him... I'm the guy he sold it to.
@@clappingpig one of us has been scammed. I also bought the world.
@@danielthomassladeslade7679 I lost it in a nasty divorce. I'm guessing you bought it from my X. I was told she sold it to a guy named Daniel. Congrats on your purchase. Hopefully you didn't pay to much.
@@clappingpig sorry to hear about the divorce & I must admit I don't really know what to do with it now I've bought it.
@@danielthomassladeslade7679 Hello again Daniel... You should think about holding on to it for another 6 to 7 million years. I'm guessing by then the intergalactic economy will have stabilized. At that point you should have enough souls to invest in another different galaxy. Hope you and your family are well, best of luck!!
Brilliant song. David Bowie was an absolute genius.
His smile at the end🥹🥲🥹
He wrote a timeless masterpiece
RIP both Kurt and David. Both are amazing musician

Any video of the man who sold the world, there will always be that one guy who must be referring to MGSV
Yeah
RIP Kurt and David.

That really impactful snare works well here
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Found a drum cover of this one youtube and thought it was fantastic whoever did the part for this definitely made the song even better for me

Holy Hell!!! What a Drummer. What a Base player. What Guitarist and Keyboard and Backing Vocalist. Incredible!!!
This is a great version of this song! All the musicians are on point and Bowie himself is obviously enjoying it. Thanks for the upload!
La mejor.
Is not a versión it's the original. Kurt makes a versión of that
No es una version.
!!!!!!!! ES LA CANCION ORIGINAL !!!!!!!!!
?? are you lost ??
he can do whatever version he likes. it's his song
Amazing Bowie just makes it looks so easy, which it's not,
and the talent on the stage is out of this world, first time I saw this on the TV 20 years ago I couldn't take my eyes off it,almost like i was in a trance and some of his songs he played were my favorite of his
Watching this on what would have been his 77th birthday. You are deeply missed , sir
We passed upon the stair
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone
A long long time ago
Oh no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
I laughed and shook hand
And made my way back home
I searched for form and land
For years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazeless stare
We walked a million hills
I must have died alone
A long, long time ago
Who knows?
Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
Who knows?
Not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
thank you i was struggling with one line, we walked a million hills,
I gazed a gazely stare
At all the millions here*
This isn't the nirvana cover.

There's no comment I can make to express the beauty of this performance.
This song is 51. 51 years old!! And sounds better than 99 % or the rubbish and babblings of music today. Long live great music.
99%? Really? Not 73 or 84? Certainly 99%? Where did you get your music? UA-cam algorithm?

Ok granny, its time to sleep
You have no idea what youngs listen to in italy. You are sooo right.
Always some old fart dissing the young.
I forgot he's no longer with us
same man.
The last bit is so haunting, yet beautiful.
It’s been one of Bowie’s indelible qualities. And particularly in this song is what sets it apart from Nirvana’s darker version, not that Nirvana’s version is any less better. Both versions I love and appreciate it so much.
DAVID BOWIE FOREVER!
I can see that you are a person of culture, besides being in this video you have a photo of the great Robert Plant
@@enrico2339 Indeed.
I guess my one regret in life is that I never saw Bowie live
Same😢
He was incredible, great rapore with the audience. His live shows are on video/streamable. Turn out the light, put it on your tv and drink a glass of wine. He translates well on screen.
I like this version from David...so nirvana & David Bowie..... they're not die.. they still live here... 🥰🥰🥰
How Lucky people that see him perform live ❤
There was a game called " The Nomad Soul" where David actually had a role and he created the soundtrack for this game. I was like 12 years old when i first listen to him. Such a good musician
Why did I discover this man in 2020? Fml I wish I could have been in at least one of his concerts.
Bowie was always the great show performer. A classic act and I still miss him.
The strenge chord structure makes this song Marvelous and a genious
even the voice wich isnt the bes, fit perfectly with the whole composition!
The first single (45 rpm) i ever bought was Life on Mars (yeah way too cool ) and this was the B-side. what a bonus !!!
The Riff is a fundemental of popular music.
Best recording I've found so far of this song (with video) if you want to learn the bass line. Yay.
RIP
I love the instrumentation on this performance. The big fat drums and guitars really land the song.
51 anni fa :)
Grazie Simone per la precisazione...Cristo! Allora sono proprio vecchia!!! Ma adoro ancora la sua musica!
Love this song, there is something mysterious and philosophical in it...

Amazing voice the backing vocal ! 🔥
There is Indonesian version of David Bowie named Fariz RM. A senior jazz pop musician in Indonesia.
Totally agree... got the LP on mid 70s.... love it so much still and live 1km from where it was born in Beckenham.....
Me being obsessed with David Bowie since I was 10:
tenho q escutar isso todo dia
This song is so good I even listened to it when Lulu covered it!

Kkkk.a
Ah mano a do Kurt é melhor hein
Bowie! 😭💔
Has to be one of the most technically perfect versions of his song sans and including Nirvana's which has been viewed over a half a billion hits.
Thank you so much for adding this one in much much better quality than the one that used to roam the internet all alone! ;)
Timeless song.
I really don’t know who’s version I like better. Most songs that get covered one version is definitely better than the other but David and Kurt absolutely own this song.
version? its original...
Completely song. Both this version and Cobain's are interpreted in a masterful way. Thank u David!
Wow...the whole band! God I wish I could have been there front row....
Unmistakable riff in the first 5 seconds! RIP Bowie
