Macau was used to be a Portuguese Overseas Territory until December 20,1999 when it was handed back to the People's Republic of China 2 years after Britain returned Hong Kong.

hi Jan and Ann, The old quarters of Macao looks beautiful with cobbled streets, market squares and an old world charm. we were Macau in 2019 but confined ourselves inside the venetian and its casinos.
reason to visit Macau again to check out the Cathedral and its back alleys.

Went there for a day trip from HK. Explore Taipa area first before Macau area. In Taipa, we did not spend anything on transportation, we just hopped in on hotel’s free shuttle, even going to Macau area. In Macau, you’ll just need to walk and walk. By the end of the day, we recorded 28k steps, good thing I was wearing the perfect shoes, I was tired but it was fun.

Your vlog brings back happy memories. In 2019 going to Macau from Hong Kong there is no bus option yet, we used the ferry. Had a day tour and we rented a car to bring us to the tourist destinations destinations.

Cool video, but the ferry from Sheung Wan is only and hour, then all the busses from all the casinos are there to take you directly to your hotel for free. Much more convenient!

I did not expected that Macau will be that nice. Wow it’s such a very beautiful destination. I believe it’s kinda similar to Las Vegas. I’ve been to Las Vegas but it’s just looking cleaner. Like you said it smells better out there in Macao.

@@JanandAnn Macau was a protuguese colony for more than 400 years! haha mas matagal kaysa sa Pilipinas. Portuguese culture is very evident with mix of chinese which I liked.
The last time I took a cab in Macau they didn't have seat belts. Everything in Macau is a gamble!
