So funny. I went yesterday to look at the Browning 380 1911 or possibly other pocket 380. After reading about the magazine cost and lack of availability, the slightly cheap feel of Browning, and the cost I ended up walking out with the Kimber micro. Also, total impulse. Can't wait to shoot it.
I bought mine in 2017 and still carry it as a chl holder . I modified my mags to add +1 allows me to hold 9 rounds of +P 380. This gun is rated according to the manual for +P pressures so it’s a little nice to have with an extra round.
Bought the base model yesterday. 100 rounds of Magtech 95 grain FMJ today without a single malfunction. Ergonomics are great. I have already re- stitched my little carry holster that was stitched to fit the ugly but also malfunction free, 20 year owned Sigma 380 that I traded in for it. I think this little Micro is beautiful and compliments my Kimber CDP 45 nicely.
I was looking for a video about small , inexpensive , pocket pistols and came across this one about a slightly larger , more expensive micro 380 Kimber . I couldn't help myself , I had to watch . No seriously , I love these little guns .
+Joes World hey joe if your interested in a trade, i have a bauer .25 acp baby browning pocket pistol with a threaded barrel (1/2 inch x 28), i had it suppressed.. the gun by itself is more than 7, and the threaded barrel was 2. pm me for more details, im looking for a nice 1911 style, and it would be going to a good home.
I have the Desert Tan with laser grip, probably the most beautiful piece of machinery I own but as for reliability, not so much. She only likes round nose bullets or else she will jam 50% of the time. My EMP has ZERO ISSUES. And will always be my go to pistol.
I have a the same as the one in the video I recently found out that if I put it in the half cocked position with the safety on and press the trigger the hammer will fall does yours do the same?
Have the exact same gun, it is awesome carry situation one and it is so easy to drop the safety. You will love it after some range time it shoots straighter than any DAO I've ever had. I also have a Kimber 45 and if I miss the bullseye at 7 yds I think Im broke , hahahahaha.
nice little shooter, once you get rid of it you'll end up buying another one, that's what happened to me.paid 450 over the holidays for an all black one, sold it and came across a stainless model to match my ultra carry 2 stainless.very impressive little gun.may try some liberty civil defence ammo, supposed to be alot lighter so the Gun will be easier to carry.thanks for sharing.
I went to buy a $300 .380 DAO pistol. Something that I could put in my pocket and forget about. This pistol is SAO. I didnt like the way it felt in my pocket, and its just too pretty to carry and scratch up.
16... yes it was 16 times it went left, right, left, right, left, right ... hehehe. Nice gun Joe, I might get one for the wife. I wanted to get a Colt Mustang 1st edition but the Kimber is only a few bucks more and just looks to be much nicer gun.
my pocket carry. I run that in a wright leather pocket holster. My only regret is not getting the raptor version.. thats ok tho cause i got my eyes on a kimber ultra 2 raptor 3in 1911 just for the heck of it. Although A wilson may be first. But my springfield trp is my pride and joy. and yes... im a 1911 freak... I only own one polymer gun and thats my xdm. I shoot 1911s best. Barrel and size change doesnt affect me. The learning curve is the same. all 1911 platforms.
I have that same kimber micro and it also shot 200rds the first time out without any problems, But this is my every day carry gun put the laser on it and ordered the night sight too I also have kimber master carry ultra 45acp
This gun has competition with at least 2 other Micro 1911 style 380's: The LLAMA 380 and the Rock Island Armory 380. Although both of those have 7 round magazines and have slightly longer slides.
How do you feel about it now in 2022? If you still have it. I need a pocket pistol, and I got an LCP and quickly found out it suuuuuuucks. I have a full size Kimber 45 I keep next to my chair, so I know Kimber makes quality stuff.
My lcp is sick. Only 6 weeks old went to the factory, got returned, did flawless 80 rounds today and the trigger won't fire a round. Strange sht. Back in the box tomorrow for their evaluation. Disheartening. It's as though gun manufacturers get 85% of crap right. SMDH.
@@MultiSweener Yeah man, I just took mine back to the store. 175 extra got the Sig P365-380… Night and day. A few mags broke it in, goes in pocket sticky and stays with me all day every day now. .380 has become one of my favorites now that I have a proper pistol for it, and tried a punch of ammo. Try a P365 man, its a bit bigger and a bit heavier but not by much and its totally worth it!
it's a great gun. it's too pretty for one. I'd cry if I scratched it. and I was in the market for a pocket .380 and this is kinda hard to pull out of my jeans pocket. but it shot great.
+Kimberly Carpenter This a great little gun. Its all metal so its a little heavier and the recoil didn't seem as bad. It is also a single action only gun. You can get a 9mm in similar sizes. Me and my girlfriend had this same discussion recently. If its a gun you would actually carry then great get it. But I prefer something in a larger caliber for my primary weapon. But like everyone says, get out and try different guns. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
you had me until you said you were going to trade it off. Why would you trade off a Kimber, EVER?! I bought the same one. On a 72hr wait right now (good ol Illinois).
+GreenVVolF I like the gun, but it just sits in the safe. Too pretty for my edc, I'd end up scratching it up. The girlfriend fell in love with it so its still around.

Dude same thing happened to me. I went in 100 percent to get the ruger 327 mag revolver. Walked past this and immediately bought it.

appreciate the offer but I have to pass. I plan on a shooting video soon and I have a buddy thats buying it when his taxes come in.

That's one pretty gun.

You are right
Great video on a great little gun! 👊🤠
I have the micro cdp version and I love it. Glad I didn't sell it like I was going to.
That's a real beauty! Love the grips. Good luck with it. $550? What a deal you got!!
if you get a FTF I replaced the spring with an 11b mustang spring the factory is 8 lb thats why its so easy to rack the slide.
Beautiful!!!
Greatest impulse buy ever !

+JW Stacks I was going to consign it at my local gun shop, but my ol lady shot it and said she wants to buy it. lol So it isnt going far.
+Joes World lol that's awsome, and you still get to shoot it.
+Joes World what peice did you or are you replacing it with?
Im not replacing it right away. I wanna pay some stuff off. I do want a pocket 380 but Im not in a hurry.
Damn that’s a helluva deal.. I saw one at my local gun shop for like $850 recently..
That's a good impulse buy just for the way it looks lol. I love micro 1911 looking guns.
+LurayBottomPrepper only problem is its too pretty to carry lol
+Joes World I'm curious what criteria it failed to meet?

I hope you didn't trade it off. I've got one like it and it is a shooting little trick. Type of ammo doesn't matter. It just flat out works.

What didn't your beautiful Kimber NOT meet in your criteria for pocket pistol? Just curious, wish I had one of those Kimbers.

check out Colt Mustang
Do you recommend this gun for women's concealed carry ? I'm currently looking at this gun for myself to carry with my permit.

Glow sights?
How is the recoil when shooting the micro 380?
it wasn't too bad with this one.
How much money ??^^
Do you want to sell it ?? thanks , Jim .
No my girlfriend took a liking to it. So its her gun now.
Sorry, but that is NOT a 1911! All it is, is a gun made to LOOK like a 1911 with a funky safety and no grip safety.
Beautiful!!!
