An Evening With John Denver (1975)

This video is another example of a preservation project. I was able to correct the aspect ratio, clear up the color a bit and smooth out the audio. This one is particularly close to my heart as this 1975 ABC network program aired on stations I helped put on the air in my home state of Idaho. KIVI-TV Boise had been on the air about one year with this broadcast. We also operated the ABC affiliate in Pocatello, KPVI-TV.
John Denver had the talent and personality made for television. Affable with a writing and singing talent that made him unique. He was widely admired particularly in the West.

This is truly awesome, thanks for putting this together and preserving this treasure. Haunting that the opening scene is him in his single engine plane, which I believe is the same one he died piloting. And can't get much more 1970's than playing "Country Road" for Jacques Cousteau.
