Thanks Ted i just can't get enough of the terrain it's such a contrast to what we have her in Florida. I really like the bow positioning of the camera makes for a nice natural viewing. Stay safe and well
Thanks Dave for your ongoing support and comments. I do switch out the cameras from time to time, though normally I have to sacrifice the cockpit camera to do that since it is relatively quick and easy to move to the bow. I normally like to keep at least one of the cameras focused on what I'm doing in the cockpit. An alternative would be to buy another camera or give up the boom camera, which is also a very popular angle. I had so much trouble with sound and cameras on the first legs of this trip that I'm hesitant to make it any more complicated than it already is! Thanks again!
There are no established camps sites on Long Lake, but there are several places where a camp could be set up. I'm not sure if you refer to the spot I thought the boaters came from or not, but later I visit this site and flew my drone over it, so you will see it in detail in a later episode The draw back to that location is the road access. Though the location likely sees very light traffic you could still have your solitude interrupted by visitors (a weekend party!). You will see more coverage of that location on my return from the south end of the Lake. I did not stay at that location overnight for the very reasons I state. I saw signs of likely weekend party's. Time of year and time of the week would likely make a difference. If you refer to the island I explored, that would be a good remote spot, but since I didn't go ashore, I'm not sure there was any flat ground for setting up a tent, or not. More info on camping can be found by UA-camr "Lost Lakes". His trip inspired me to do my trip. See link: ua-cam.com/video/tPgpUCl5bJo/v-deo.html
It was an extremely calm day. I didn't get any breeze until late in the day and then it was light. You are quick on the draw. I just posted this video! Thanks for your interest and comments. TS
