Best wishes for you, Lars.
Thank you, man! Atb from Germany, Lars 🙂
Hello Lars, Great demo. I still have my LWA 1000 head & I love a lot of the features on it . I wish mine had the interface option but I guess that my next head will be this new model. Great 👍👍👍👍👍 products & a Great demonstrator. Stay safe and well and keep Rocking. From Munster Indiana, U.S A.
THX so much, John! ATB from Germany! 🙂
killer amp once again!!
I have the gnome 280 iPro and love it. I’d be keen to get one
The amplifier sounds good. According to the functionality, only the mute and DI-pre buttons are missing.
There is no information on the new offices 115 and 210 on the official website.
Only these compact budget amplifiers heat up quite a lot and often fail because of this.
Any plans on a new 4x10 cab?
I ordered mine 2 days ago, I am very excited to receive it, but I have a question, what type of Cabinet can I use with this Warwick gnoma 600 watts ??thank you I await your response!
Thanks for choosing Warwick, we appreciate your trust in our brand!
The Gnome iPro 600 has 600 watts @ 4 ohms and around 350 watts @ 8 ohms, so you will have the following options.
You have to pay attention that the cabs you are using @ 8 ohms have to have a minimum of 300 - 350 watts, so you can use it as standalone rig, or you are using 2 x 8 ohms parallel and the sum of the wattage has to be around 600 watts, the best should be that they will have the same impedance and the same wattage for equal volume, but this is only “the rule” when you are playing at maximum, which is quite loud @ 600 watts.
The, for my opinion, most flexible solution would be, 1 x 1x15” cab shop.warwick.de/en/amplifier/bass-amps/bass-cabinets/37856/warwick-gnome-pro-cab-300-watt-8-ohm-1-x-15-speakers-with-piezo-horn?c=3620 plus 1 x 2x10” cab shop.warwick.de/en/amplifier/bass-amps/bass-cabinets/37857/warwick-gnome-pro-cab-300-watt-8-ohm-2-x-10-speakers-with-piezo-horn.
But is it necessary to buy both cabinets or would just one of those cabinets be okay? ? ?
Hello,
You don´t need to buy both cabs at the same time. As mentioned the amp has around 350 watts at 8 ohms, so if you buy a cab with, at least, 300 watts, and don´t turn the volume to maximum, everything should working fine.
If you then connect a second cab with 8 ohms and, at least, 300 watts, you will have the whole power of 600 watts at 4 ohms ( 8 ohms and 8 ohms in parallel).
US version where?
Hi, do you know if you are able to use the amp as the studio monitor when recording to a computer via usb?
Also is there a way of a second input (for singing and playing)
Thanks
Dlm
Hi there,
unfortunately, this is not possible, it´s only for recording the bass signal directly to a DAW or similar devices, without any additional special requirements or drivers. For monitoring an entire mix you shouldn't use your bass amp or bass cabinets anyway but rather dedicated studio monitors or headphones. Also feeding vocals into a bass amp and cab will very likely not result in a desirable mix without compromizing the either the sound quality of the bass or that of the vocals. However it is possible with the GNOME 600's AUX input.
If your plan was to buy both the 1x15" and the 2x10" cabs for this head, but wanted to buy one first, and the second cab later down the road, which cab would you recommend buying first....the 1x15 or the 2x10?
Hey, when choosing between the 1x15" (Warwick Gnome Pro CAB 15/4) and the 2x10" (Warwick Gnome Pro CAB 2/10/8) cabinets for your Warwick Gnome i Pro 600W Digital Pocket Amp, consider factors such as low-end response, portability, tonal character, and future expansion plans. The 1x15" cabinet offers a deeper low-end and warmer tone, while the 2x10" cabinet is more compact and provides a punchy, focused sound. If you prioritize portability and versatility, the 2x10" cabinet may be a suitable starting point. However, if you prefer a fuller, warmer tone with potential for future expansion, the 1x15" cabinet could be a great choice. Ultimately, the decision depends on your personal playing preferences and how you envision your bass rig evolving. Feel free to contact us for further assistance. We hope this was helpful!
To me Warwick means Ryan Martinie
Where's the tuner out & mute button?
*_So basically, set bass and mid low to 1 o’clock; set mid high and treble to 11 o’clock. Got it. 👍 🤣_*
Indeed, that's a good starting point! Atb, Lars 🙂
So set the eq basically the same way each time 😂
I learned nothing from this video except that you have a new amp and cabs.
With respect, my friend ... I'm afraid I disagree! I showed you exactly what needs to be done in order to perfectly support the natural sound of the instrument which was used in this video. You also heard the sound of every single eq band soloed for an impression of the eq and you now know the technical specs of the iPro. This amp is a great tool because it will sound super clean and tight straight away even in the flat position of all eq knobs. What I did during the playing examples is pretty much what bassplayers and producers have done with their bass amps as well as mixing consoles throughout the last decades when it came to a great bass sound. Of course the amount of boost or cut may differ depending on the instrument and musical style, which is exactly what was showcased in the video. Atb, Lars
@@LarsLehmannBassplayer Many thanks for the info and video Lars. Is it possible you can tell me the centre frequencies of the lo-mid and hi-mid controls, as well as the shelving of the treble. You mentioned the bass control is 80Hz but no info on other controls. Having a vintage Dolphin Pro-I with Bartolinis the frequency banding is quite critical to attaining a good blend within a band scenario. I know which frequency bands (and from which manufacturer) work best with the bass, but I'm curious as to the Gnome 600 specs and cannot find it anywhere. Many thanks in advance :-)
Hi there, the equalizer knobs on the GNOME 600 adjust the dBs of the following frequency bands:
Bass: +/- 15 dB at 80 Hz, shelving
Mid low : +/- 15 dB at 600 Hz
Mid high : +/- 15 dB at 2,5 kHz
Treble: +/- 15 dB at 5 kHz, shelving
We hope this was helpful.
@@FramusWarwickOfficial @LarsLehmannBassplayer Further to my request for the frequency bands - thank you - could you also clarify the size of the unit itself, please? All websites (including Warwick) are listing the dimensions as (L x W x H): 340 x 250 x 100 mm, however this seems *HUGE* and doesn't tally with the size of the amplifier when compared to the size of the 300W iPro V2 in promotional photographs. I have an official photo with the iPro V2 stacked on top of the iPro 600 and re-scaled the image to match the dimensions of the physical iPro V2 (which I have two of). This results in the iPro 600 dimensions being approximately (L x W x H): 280 x ? x 75 mm (70mm high casing plus 5mm feet). Perhaps the websites are quoting the size of the transit carton instead of the actual amplifier itself? Perhaps someone would be kind enough to measure an actual unit, and if so correct any promotional information if required? Many thanks in advance 🙂
