Thank you so much for all your recipes and instructions!!! I have 2 Nuwave Oven Pros and 1 mini. I use the mini every day for single meals and the other for bigger meals. And to those "fans" who ask why would anyone have 2 Nuwave Oven Pro, its simple : Big dinners like thanksgiving, easter, christmas AND because I can! Love your videos! keep up the good work!
I PUT 4 eggs on very bottom and cooked for 14 minutes... and then put in ice bath.... turned out perfect... easy to peel and perfect color... now I cook them like that several more times.. always came out just right
I got my at a thrift store. It was marked $40 (still a great deal). I also got 30% off of that price. So for $22 I got the nuwave oven, 4 inch rack and the top holder, This was the best thing I could of bought. If you have to buy it new it is totally worth it. Right now they have a buy one get one free, plus you get some other goodies.
still having trouble getting use to this thing, but having a lot of fun while doing it. I did three boiled eggs that turned out ok.. cooked them power level high for 11 minutes and next time I will turn them half way thru, and the yellow was not done enough for me for a boiled egg, so next time I am going to also do lower power level a little longer. I actually did fried eggs a bit ago. first time did it in the small bowl two eggs, they over cooked being on the high rack on high, next did one on a small corelle plate no oil, on the 2" rack, power level 5 for 10min, egg came out almost perfect but stuck to the plate of course. then took a plate and put a bit of olive oil on with two eggs, 2"rack power level 7 for 9 minutes and watched them when the white was done the eggs were perfect, yoke was super runny, white was perfect and just slight sticking at the edges. next time I am going to try a old teflon pan and take the handle off. I bet I could use that for a lot of things.. oh and my bacon was perfect, did turn half way thru cooking and I like mine crunchy, so it was great, but most of the time I do mine in the oven anyway but this way I did not have to heat up my oven for 40 minutes and then cook the bacon for 30. sooo far I guess me and Nuwave are getting to know each other one step at a time.
I'm still having trouble getting hard boiled eggs to cook correctly. I just tried cooking half a dozen for 12 minutes. Some were still runny and others cracked or completely burst open. Is there a trick to cooking them? I use the 1" rack. Do I need to place them on the edge of the rack or something? Please help.
I like it because I hate cleanup. It's so easy to clean this thing. You can put a good majority of the parts in the dishwasher. It's better then scrubbing a pan or pot.
Step 1 Place the 1-inch cooking rack inside the base of your NuWave Oven. Step 2 Place your eggs directly on the cooking rack. You can cook a single egg, or several, just be sure to leave ¼ inch between them so they're not touching. Step 3 Place the dome on top of the base securely and adjust the power head by twisting it clockwise to the locking position if this hasn't already been done. Step 4 Set the timer for 8 to 11 minutes on high. If you like your eggs soft, use 8 or 9 minutes. If you like them harder, set the timer for 10 or 11 minutes. I would not cook eggs in my nuwave cooker & I've had one 'since the beginning' (I'm on my second one now). Here's how I cook eggs in the shell: I used my electric water pot to boil the water (it's faster & it stops when it reaches boiling temperature). Then I put the water into the smallest pot I have that will allow me to cover the eggs with water, and put it on the stove top at 'just below' high (so the water doesn't boil over) then I add the eggs one at a time with a slotted spoon. Then I take my android phone and say "ok google", google replies, & I saw 'start timer seven minutes'. Then I remove the soft-boiled egg with the slotted spoon, put it into a bowl and over it with cold water from the tap. If I want hardboiled eggs, too, I turn off the heat and let the remaining 2-3 eggs sit in the hot water with the pot's lid on for about 10-15 minutes. After the 10-15 minutes, I put the pot in the kitchen sink and run cold water over it until the hot water has spilled out. THEN I roll each egg on the countertop (to crack the egg shell) and set it in a bowl on the countertop, to cool down for another 30 minutes. You can of course 'okay google' or that iPhone equivalent, for all the timings'. (Yes, I write cookbooks for beginning cooks.)
Well I just tried 2 dozen eggs to see if I could hard boil them, I followed the directions form the book and all runny spoiled and had to throw them away!! Then I see the post below and everyone is having the same problem! So when are they going to give us better info or just remove the hard boiled egg section. Looks like a call to customer service on Monday!!
I haven't had any luck with eggs exept for the hard boiled ones. I guess I have to keep fine tuning. Bacon comes out great, I love it and that's because I'm not a big fan of bacon.
Yep, got the runny hard boiled eggs after cooking for 11 minutes. I'm wondering if you have to let them set afterwards for 20-30 minutes for them to become hard. If that's the case, no thanks, I'll just go back to boiling them in water for 20 minutes again........less time required!
I love the NuWave oven and cooktop. I absolutely love them and I've tried a lot of things in them including eggs and bacon. You fools don't know what you're missing to make these stupid comments. I've had a lot of appliances in my day, and NuWave products are my favorite, and no they're not paying me a dime to say this. I literally use these appliances every day. Cooking is so much faster, I could never go back. And YES, I am a very picky cook with a lot of experience. You have to have patience to try new things.
Please NavaEEarls, there is no need to get ugly. You can cook several things at one time...bacon and eggs simultaneously. Great for if you are getting ready for work in the morning. And it is really stupid to buy an expensive big gadget to cook eggs...except that it ISN'T just for eggs. Sheesh. This is just a recipe for use in the Nuwave. It is a great product and I use it frequently. Most things cook a lot more quickly in it and it doesn't heat up the kitchen.
I do a full dozen eggs with the 1" rack and the extender ring for 11 min. They come out perfect every time. No water needed. Make sure the eggs are spaced evenly too. I've done it for years this way. @tsairox
That's a little frustrating. Just used a whole dozen eggs trying to make hard boiled eggs for deviled eggs. 9 minutes didn't work. 11 minutes didn't work. 13 minutes didn't work. Yolks still runny.
The baked way to make a sandwich works great... the "Sunnyside up" way is awful. The whole point of Sunnyside up is to have a bright yellow yoke that easily breaks and has warm runny yoke. You say 10-12 minutes on that. Well I just did it for only 8 minutes and they came out completely baked over on the top and they was barely any yoke that wasn't hard like a hard boiled egg.. no runny yoke at all. Maybe it would be the proper yoke consistency with 5-6 minutes. I'd have to try. But 10-12 minutes is wayyyyyy overcooking.
the timing for hard boiled eggs is bullshit. I put some in for 9 minutes and the yolks were liquid. I put them in for another 3 minutes and still liquid.
Sorry. This type of food for breakfast is not suitable for the NewWave oven. This is better cooked in a skillet and no in this machine. Too much time for nothing. Sorry. The NuWave oven is not for this at all.

why on earth would i want to buy an expensive big gadget to cook eggs? takes me 2 minutes at the most on a regular sautee pan- 10 minutes nuwave? no thanks and it looks overcooked or maybe it is the chef. oy vey!
Nope, eggs don't work in this thing. You can't bake in this thing either. Any meat will do fine. Ignore the times, follow your nose on how long to cook things for. I ignore the cooking guide and don't have raw meat. Chicken quarters take twenty minutes per side, maybe a little longer depending on how big they are. It's easy to overcook chicken in the nuwave too. And don't get me started on trying to bake with this pos.
Eggs work fine so does baking. As long as you don't bake on the bottom pan because air can't get under there. I have done hard boiled eggs before but I think I done it on the 4 inch rack instead.
Not impressed with your rubber looking eggs! Why try to kid people on when they look absolutely shit! I wouldn't eat them.... I own a Hal oven and I will not be attempting to cook my eggs according to your recommendations!

How do you cook bacon and hardboil an egg at the same time?
I was fast forwarding so maybe I missed the test of the first batch. They looked hard and without a demo I can only think they were.

Same thing happened to me. Kind of getting annoyed how they tell you times for certain foods and it never comes out that way.

I love eggs..thank you for show me
bacon grease taste good when eggs are cooked in it yum
Better yet! Mix hot coffee with bacon grease (red eye gravy) and put it on grits.I agree. Bacon grease gives a meaty flavor to eggs.

you used metal utensil on a non stick pan! that scratches ur pans you need to use plastic or non metal utensils.....
