Our oven went kaboom last year and I was forced to become a Microwave Master Chef until our new oven was delivered (about a month it took). The microwave transitioned from our coffee reheating device into a full-service oven.
It is possible to cook & bake anything in a microwave! It’s sad that most of us have / had no idea of how good microwave cooking is!
Once you get the hang of it, there’s a good chance you will use it almost exclusively! We do. Unless it’s a meal we make with a slow-cooker.

Just makes me wonder if microwaving food is healthy to eat, also always use glass not plastic

    • @-KingOfKhaos
      @-KingOfKhaos Рік тому +1

@@tional5266 I did end up doing a LOT of research on the topic of microwaving food. The scientific evidence is perfectly clear: It is absolutely 1000% safe. It’s nothing more than radio waves exciting water molecules to create internal heating. Regular ovens and stoves do the same thing except they use convective heat to accomplish the same thing. Further, food that is in a sealed container (like canned food) can actually get exposed to high doses of radiation, and be perfectly fine immediately after radiation exposure. Microwaves don’t even come close to radioactive waves in terms of danger levels. So bottom line, microwaves are perfectly safe. :)

Scrambled eggs NEVER blow in the microwave oven. There's no need to cover them unless you're trying to make them extra moist. They WILL expand greatly, and then collapse. Cook for 2 minutes on high, uncovered (900- to 1100-watt oven). You can turn them 3/4 of the way through the time (1: 30) to help them finish, but it shouldn't be necessary since they'll finish on their own if you let them sit in the cup or bowl for 1 minute or less.
If you do this, with 1-3 large eggs, in a 2-cup, glass, measuring cup (No butter needed, since there will be little sticking, and it never helps, anyway.), you can make it a sandwich by placing (and squeezing) it/them between two, typical, square slices of toast . (No mess.)

I like my scrambled eggs set and find adding milk (never tried water) makes them runnier.
This is my go to comfort food now, especially having had to become gluten-free - it used to be weetabix.

Thank you I made scrambled eggs then put them on bread with mayonnaise, sadly we didn't have ketchup but it was delicious!
I recommend you trying this but with two pieces of bread like a sandwich

Ok, TY, I decided a pan or pot is better for all modalities, except maybe the poached egg.
