I appreciate how thorough this video is, you covered so much that I haven't seen anyone else even mention in passing. You literally answered so many questions I had that no one else has.
Another good thing about these battery straps is that you can use the battery as power bank for your other needs. For example, in Ukraine we currently experience regular blackouts, and I can use it to charge up my phone or power a light bulb.
Only if you have head strap (or at least its base) with you. The only output is via the magnetic interface, not via USB-C in B100 batteries. I talk more about it in 10 mins chapter about B100 batteries in the S3 Pro review ua-cam.com/video/z2Bm6b3ap7E/v-deo.html
The BoboVR website has the S3 Pro for $89.99, and so does Walmart and Amazon. The $130 price is usually for the S3 pro plus the extra battery packs or plus a carrying case. The m3 max is on their website for $69.99, but I just ordered one from walmart for $59.99, arriving in 2 days.
Got the S3 Max an love it, i just wish the battery would allow usb data passthrough. So you could leave the cable and battery inplace yet still do a usb data connection through the bobo battery. That or them having a extra usb port somewhere on the strap for data.
It would be the most expensive battery to the Quest ever made. BTW. I did this using PD USB hub. I use this one: amzn.to/4cFJa1N but in version with all USB3. Also extension cable is needed for Bobovr. Here you can find some links to them: vr.thomasvoland.com
@@Thomas_Voland yes and now, usb2 passthrough only needs 2 pins for data, they have 7 already on the battery. the dual pin pairs on the battery is almost certainly power/ground. this means the other 3 most be for battery voltage, but why they would need 3 pins for that i do not know, that could easily be done with a single pin. I'm using the AMVR with the Globular Cluster CMQ3 and it's a lot more adjustable than these Bobo straps as there's more pivot points, so I can use them together comfortably. The AMVR interface is also a lot more comfortable than the Globular interface.
The HomeSpot Pro Switch Bluetooth Adapter; the GELRHONR Right Angle USB A Male to USB C Female Adapter,90 Degree USB3.0 to Type C Connector 100WPD; & the GELRHONR Right Angle USB A Male to USB C Female Adapter,90 Degree USB3.0 to Type C Connector 2-pack allow one to get low-latency Bluetooth audio from the headset (including APTX-LL), as well as mix it with audio from another source like a phone. Works really well; I use it for listening to podcasts, audiobook, etc. when playing games where I don't have to fully concentrate. I use the KKCOBVR K3 facial interface because the nose opening on the Globular Cluster magnetic facial interface lets in too much light for me, even with the included nose flap. The KKCOBVR K3 includes a fan (which I don't care about), and offers a ~15% wider FoV than the AMVR, which I used previously. It works with the S3 Pro and the original Quest 3 charging dock. All items are available on Amazon, and work very well for me.
