XV 1 definitely had the better executed story. You can tell they used their best ideas for the first game like you switching bodies with Ginyu instead of Goku. You also got to see all the "dark timeline" where everything went wrong and everybody died and I'm pretty sure they only did that before the 1st form Cell fight in XV2

I'd wouldn't say Fu is Mira and Towa's son as Fu was created shortly after Fused Mira died. Yes Fu does have Towa's and Mira's dna, he's not really their son but more of a replica of sorts.
@@chiz_thy_driz no idea if they are keeping the same backstory of Fu from Online for Xeno/Heroes, but iirc, Towa hid Fu away in a time rift to have him away from any threats. Sorta like Fire Emblem Fates where they send their kids to the other realm and they grow up quickly like a Time Chamber.

I bought the Xenoverse games during a Steam sale before finding out I can just play Xenoverse 1 through 2 after I finished 1 well at least I get to experience the GT Saga for $3
I remember when I was playing Xenoverse 1 (PS3) and 2 (PS4), I was still transformed before and after cutscenes. This was before I was able to have internet to update and I would just stick to the 1.0 versions. And I was like WTF when I finally updated on XV2. After that I rather not transform again.
Oh my gosh I loved playing XV1 on my 360 and on my desktop when I was in high school. On the 360 I maxed out two majin characters and I made my first character a human. I don't know why I stuck to playing on a slightly dead port of the game, but it was enjoyable at the time. Then I got addicted to Xenoverse 2. Oh man that's still my third favorite DBZ game and one I replayed constantly for years. Amazing video and have a great day.
10:35 This isn't something changed for the pack, it was in the base game It's just difficult to get if you're not overleveled, lol I think there's something similar in XV2's final fight with Mira
You don't get to play as the Future Warrior from the first game that you picked at the beginning of Xenoverse 2, and it's not even fully available to play through until you reach the Golden Frieza fight.
I've heard of this Xenoverse 1 in Xenoverse 2 thing and it certainly does have me curious. I had a fantastic time with Xenoverse 2 but Xenoverse 1 was a hellish experience of super armoured frustration. It's a miracle I picked up Xenoverse 2 after that. 0:32 - Yeah... in both Xenoverse 1 and 2. Having both games stories bundled together does unfortunately demonstrate the similarities in their story beat. Hopefully, if a Xenoverse 3 ever does happen, they'll be more imaginative with how they approach arcs and which fights to focus on. Having a different starting point than the Raditz fight would help. 1:32 - That is also very unfortunate. One of the big selling points of Xenoverse 1 to 2 was how your time patroller from the first game would reappear as a key character in the second game. 3:50 - Really? That ruins the entire point of torturing yourself with Xenoverse 1 (though I'm assuming the game functions with Xenoverse 2's improved mechanics). 5:27 - ...Or even just having a menu on the level select screen where you can shop for Xenoverse 1 customisation items and the like. 8:14 - Yeah, admittedly, Xenoverse 2 might have been a little too easy. I'll take it over Xenoverse 1's frustrating difficulty but that was more due to the constant super armour and camera issues than it was their CPU. 10:52 - The only one the first Time Patroller really has a bond with is Time Patroller Trunks, which is kind of further emphasised in how they are used in Xenoverse 2's story. Weirdly enough, Splatoon is the comparison that comes to mind in terms of how the story handles the player characters.
The story of these games took a lot of inspiration from dragon ball heroes but they still tried to make it a unique experience and i think xenoverse 2 is worth a single playthrough.
In my opinion, having this DLC, makes XV1 playable finally, especially when it comes to the extremely annoying missions (the ginyu mission when you have to beat like 14 people with Gohan & Krillin and the fight when you have to fight both androids) The only reason I would go back and play XV 1, and have done so recently (which was an absolute drag) was to make a your main characters mentor in XV2.
Yeah the DLC with the Fu story just doesn't have new players in mind, they expect you to have finished the others when they release a new one. There is no indication on what order they're in. Best way to tell would be buying them one by one going through release order. I can't even tell if I've done all of them.
Sparking! ZERO HYPE new trailers each month till up to release and hopefully we get a release day at summer games fest on June 7th. New trailer this month as the V Jump scans released and it's younger saiyan generation and Gotenks and Kefla.
Seriously, this should have been a way to use our XV1 character if we ported them over. I really didn't want to use my XV2 character for this, nor did I want to go through everything again just to experience this story. lol Give us an extra variant/preset slot specifically for use of the XV1 imported hero.
Another wonderful video. Great work. I forget if i have mentioned it before but i really love your 8 star purple dragon ball. I'm glad you are having a good time with xenoverse 2.
I think the story and characters are more meaningful if you play the campaign through Xenoverse 1, you spend a lot of time with these characters and they grow on you. You are experiencing events as they happen and there are actual stakes that Toki Toki City could be destroyed and all that. Personally I think that city hub is already worth it just for the music alone. However, I do agree that the game is excessively grindy and sometimes unfairly hard. PC players can bypass the boring grind pretty easily with mods at least.
Hi Hidden, I always enjoy your vlogs! I enjoy watching all your content! I played XV2 and played a little bit of the first XV at a Gaming Convention. I like both games but like the frame rate of the first game better. I wish they kept the same frame rate.
Between Tenkaichi / Raging Blast and Xenoverse, I'd take the former as they're a lot more enjoyable. P.S. DBZ Attack of the Saiyans is amazing! Extremely underrated game.
I've never played any dragon ball game for the story mode I always just cared more about gameplay and for some reason I like xeno 1 it just reminds me of bt3 on how manual the controls feel and how complex things can get if you know what your doing they went a different direction but they basically did the same thing in xenoverse 2 just made it look a little bit more flashy and more automated but with the dlcs and the transformation and overall improvements I would say that both games are really good but definitely play XenoVerse 2 if you haven't played the 1st game
By the way, I have played XV1 and XV2 and I honestly prefer XV1 for its graphics, music, and linear story. XV2 got out of control and XV2 is just XV1.5 with new content. No point Bandai ever making XV3 as XV2 is still getting new content.
XV needs an overhaul with it's customization imo. Something that a XV3 can surely bring. Needs custom auras/colored ki blasts, dynamic animated Saiyan tails, different combo animations/paths/customization for cacs similar to UT being able to use masters' combos, cast characters should get passives of the cacs like Piccolo, Nail, and Slug regenerating for being Namekians, Goku & Vegeta getting stronger when revived. It was always stupid to me that they didn't do that. It makes no sense.
I really wanted to play a Xenoverse game but that would be trying to wait for something like Sparking Zero, so I will wait for Sparking Zero :) (I did finish Kakarot though)
Tbh I like the story better for xenoverse 1 plus was way harder. And at the end I think you for got they show up in ghost form cause they where your mentors. If you completed them as mentor they show up to give you energy. And how you don't know who fu is he shows up in the main story of xenoverse 2 several times lol. Also quick note I wish they didn't drop the z assist from xenoverse 1. Your mentors actually helped you and gave you a power up if you used they ultimates. Mentors don't do.sgit in xenoverse 2 but give you moves and show up some times in pqs.

Maybe this isn't the case for PC but, my biggest complaint for Legend Patrol is those blurry ass, compressed MP4 files that masquerades as the cutscenes of XV1. I had to stop playing after the Nappa fight b/c of the dissonance between the cutscene that feature the player's avatar and those that don't.
