- This is one of worst cases of neglect iv seen.
This Bosch hammer must have been left in a bucket of water. The tool holder had completed rusted and siezed the striker inside the tool holder.
Normaly these parts just slide apart. Never needed to take a hammer to one before.

I appreciate that these machines are expensive, but surely to god yer man must've known a long time ago that there was something going wrong with it. He must've just waited til it stopped hammering and then just left it. Why wouldn't he have brought it in then?!?
Still... A remarkable job, Dean. You should be proud of yerself for getting that one going again!
A very nicely presented machine failure and a nicely done repair.
Yep mine a similar issue not hammering dean. Need you to hopefully have a wee look at it for me. My hitachi one can’t remove the point. Ha. I’m down to the hammer an bolster.
Hey I have a jack hammer same model and does not hammer. Any advice or is there a way where I can take it to u and you can fix it?
Do you have any videos on corded Milwaukee port bands
Hey Dean, great videos! I noticed you use 2 different greases...on one of your previous videos you showed the bottle of the white grease, what's the brand of the brown grease?
Bosch 001.
I have a problem with one cordless drill.
I can't find if it's the motor or pcb is broken.
When I press the button, the light blinks once, and when I press it just a little (so that the engine cannot turn even though it does not turn), then the light stays on for 4-5 seconds, which is normal.
The motor does not want to start, however when I turn it to several positions it turns 5-6 mm when I press the button.
Is the motor or pcb broken?
Sounds more like something has broken inside and jammed the mechanism
@@deandohertygreaser It didn't, I took out the mechanism and it won't, the drill is new, I got it for repair.
Sir could I ask you, from which country you are?
Ireland (Eire).
Badly need my same one looked at dean possible service.
Mine is not as rough as this one but needs a service.
where can you get parts for one of them?
Dean usually says just to type the name (or better yet the reference number if you can find it) of the part into Google and you should get loads of shops offering to sell them. As a distributor, Dean gets all his parts either from his own stock or direct from the manufacturer. Hope this helps.
What grease are you using?
It's the bosch tool grease. I think they do a thicker and a thinner one, the thinner one being white.
Some rust remover from normfest will loosen it up right away 👍
