  • This is a useful one for anyone with one if these Erbauer sds drill.
Parts aren't available for them but if your chuck falls apart, at least you can use a few Bosch parts to get it running again.

Genius! This shows just how much you know about all the different machines you work on. To recognise a small part from a completely different manufacturer would fit this machine, then go about replacing that part at such a small cost to your customer... It's no wonder you constantly have so many machines waiting to be fixed. People must come from miles around to get you to fix the machines that most other repair shops would probably turn away as unfixable! These videos are not only great entertainment, but they are a great advert for your expertise and give others handy tips and tricks to fix their own machines! Great work, Dean! Keep 'em coming and you'll be at 100k in no time!

I usually watch your videos on Facebook.. I realised the other day that this guy tells us what is wrong with the tool before he's even had a chance to open it up. Just presses the trigger and he's like 'thats the 5th solder joint on the left hand side of the board that seems to have gone' 😂 and 99% of the time he's correct.

You Sir are an absolute lad! I learned so much from your videos, now I am confident to tackle almost any repair job. Recently bought a Bosch GSH 11 E, put a service kit in it and now it's working excellent at a 1/5th of the cost of a new one !

For the record, in German Erbauer means "builder/architect" in the sense of someone who oversees the project rather than doing the physical work, while Bauer means "farmer/peasant".

Enjoy your videos. I'd say it's better to fix it with any part that fits vs buying a now tool. A good mechanic knows how to "fix" things, not just replace parts.

I’m a relatively new fan here. How in the hell did you learn how all these tools work from all the different brands? While I’m sure there are similarities between them, did you take classes for this trade? You’re a steely-eyed- fixing-man! So glad to watch but astounded at how you fix all these tools! ❤

I'd love to meet the guys who decided " let's use sirclips that don't have pliers tip holes ......to piss of and annoy every tech on the planet" . I have butchered at least 4 perfectly good sirclips pliers in the pursuit of the perfect tool for them. It's not enough just to grind them flat.....the c clips also have a sneaky slanted bevel to throw off your pliers and crush your fingers. The most recent was a 50mm diameter clip....4mm x 3mm profile , recessed into a pump shaft. And I know there's a proper tool for the....but where's the fun in that.

    Question.
I have a couple of these drills. One was in storage for a bit. Just use it at home.
But I noticed an oily grease around the batt. I thought it was the batt leaking. But after wiping around it. It was more of a yellow substance.
Could the oil/grass lube trickle down from the inner shaft ?
I ask because. I have a second one for work. Just started using it.
The oil / lube is doing the same on the housing plastic at the top.
Did I just get a couple of quirky drills.
    18v sds erbauer drill.
I’ll pop them a mail but just curious if you’ve ever come across it.
    Cheers.
    The videos are great

Hey, I have a quick question if you break off an SDS bit in the end how the fuck you get out when it’s bent

    • @bladeoflucatiel
      @bladeoflucatiel 4 місяці тому

Try pulling it with vise-grips otherwise disassemble the tool holder.
I once bought an SDS to normal chuck adapter on a chinese "euro" store, the thing was so badly made and out of spec that I couldn't get it out of my machine, I had to clamp it on a vise to remove it.

The lack of parts for both Lidl and Aldi power tools has been one of the reasons I've not bought any drills or drivers.
The exception has been a rechargeable reciprocating saw from Lidl which has performed flawlessly for the last five years.
I suppose the 3 year warranty provides some degree of comfort as the products are of reasonable quality for DIY use.

I used the 3 yr warranty on a big powerful SDS drill from Lidl a week after i bought it. I managed to rattle it to death in 5 days hahaha
My Bosch SDS i bought 8 years ago is still working fine and has done a ton more than the Lidl one ever did.
