- Hi friends! Hopefully you enjoy this little tutorial to make your very own little angy coffee! These little cuties are so easy to whip up and you can use the same pattern to make them using chunky yarn or using smaller yarn!
If you have any questions just leave a comment and I'd be happy to answer them! HAPPY CROCHETING!
Supplies:
Size 4 yarn (aran, worsted) in any cup colour and brown (I used Paintbox Simply Aran)
6mm safety eyes or 6mm beads (or you can use felt or embroider the eyes)
Black crochet thread or embroidery thread
Polyester Fiberfill Stuffing
Stitch marker
Darning/Tapestry/Yarn needle
Scissors
Written Instructions:
Cup:
Using the main colour, Mc6
R1: Inc x6 [12]
R2: (Sc, Inc) x6 [18]
R3: (Sc 2, Inc) x6 [24]
R4: Sc 24 in BLO [24]
R5-11: Sc around [24]
R12: Slst around LOOSELY [24]
Cut the yarn leaving enough to finish off. Invisible finish into the next stitch and hide the yarn in the middle of the cup.
Handle:
Using the main colour, make a slip knot leaving a few inches as a starting tail
Ch11, then starting in the second chain from the hook, Sc 10 all the way down the chain to the end.
Cut the yarn leaving a few inches for sewing in each side of the handle.
Coffee:
Using brown coloured yarn, Mc8
R1: Inc x8 [16]
R2: (Sc, Inc) x8 [24]
Cut the yarn leaving about a 12-16 inches for sewing in.

HOLY CRAP!! I'VE FINALLY FOUND A TUTORIAL THAT EXPLAINS MAGIC CIRCLE IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T MAKE HE WANT TO BURNN ALL MY YARN AND DRIVE OFF A CLIFF!! I bow down before your excellence, madam!
Hahaha you are too sweet. Felt the same way!!! This just clicked for me!
@@FalseBubbles I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer and I've been trying to make a ln shortly ready beginner triangle shawl for her but it starts with a magic loop and the video went so quickly without any verbal explanation that I was totally lost. I tagged it to the person who made the video and they told me to host slow the video down but I had already slowed it to .25 speed. I'm a very visual learner and personally a knitter (i leaned to crochet as a kid 30 years ago but was never told what why of the stitched were called) I rely heavily on learning both the action of the stuck and the name of the stretch based on videos until I can learn to read patterns and connect it to the hand motions I was taught as a child. The pacing of your video is absolutely perfect and I feel like I can FINALLY start on the shawl for my friend, who has already started chemo. So when I say this video is a big deal to me, it's a REALLY big deal. I appreciate you and I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel. Already hit subscribe and can't wait to check it more! Thank you again for helping me help my friend. 💛
Big thanks for this tutorial. My 10 years old granddaughter and I made 25 of this little cups and gave them as Christmas presents for every one of her teachers and couches. We put a little kiss chocolate on top and every one loved it. It was something fun to share with my granddaughter
To make it a little easier to follow along, I tried my best to make the video as a readable pattern with timestamps! This is my first time doing this so it's probably not perfect, but I hope it helps!

You are amazing!!! Thank you for this!!!!❤️
Is there a way I can print the pattern?
Thank you for the transcription of this pattern. One change I would make is in the wording for attaching the safety eyes. In the video, the eyes appear to be mounted 5 stitches apart (leaving 4 open stitches between the eyes). Perhaps I am in a small group of people who interpret "4 stitches apart" to mean something different from what was shown in the video, but I think the instructions may be more clear for everyone if they said "5 stitches apart (leaving 4 open stitches between eyes)"?

im resisting the urge to make one of these, i have SO many projects that i need to get done grrrr
but this one is like 30 minutes for you! EZ!!!!! its just ONE MORE
Same
Same here....want to do sooo many things
Me tooo 😂
I know this is an old post HOWEVER... small projects like this are an excellent break when you're overwhelmed with other, bigger or tedious/projects that require much attention to detail with stitch counting and multiple row repeats. *Finishing one of these little cups gives you a sense of accomplishment.. Release of dopamine...and then you can proceed to finish your other projects*
Unsure about the dopamine thing...I just said it because it sounded good but it does give a sense of accomplishment lol
😂 I had some cream color yarn I spilled coffee on! This is to perfect not to use coffee stained yarn to make angry coffee cups! Love it!
Oooo that'll smell like coffee too!!
You are the absolute best instructor I have ever had on UA-cam. Thank you
☺️ thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it!!!
Mine looks more like a disappointed trash can 😭😂
Okay I'll wait to try this then 😂😂
@@jclyntoledoI’m new to crocheting and I just made this and it’s super cute! You can do it! 😅
😂😂
lol
😅😅 I'm sure it's cute ❤
I cannot thank you enough for this! I went from having never picked up a hook less than a month ago to making my first plush. It's not perfect, like yours is, but I am very proud of it. Thank you again.
THANK YOU so much for putting the written pattern in the description! I struggle sometimes with video patterns and written ones just make more sense to my brain. Thank you!
Did I just finished making a chunky coffee cup ... I sure did. Am I making another one? I sure am ! am I happy and proud?! I sure am and do I think I'm addicted ... hell yeah
So exciting! Apologies for the new yarn and crochet obsessions!!!
thanks for making this tutorial it si really helpfull!I made two of these for my grandmother for mothers day
You are such a great teacher! I always lose count of my stitches and make huge errors and just continue on with half- baked projects, but this is a breakthrough for me! The stitches and the shape are matching up to what you say they should be!
I'm so glad!!! I love those breakthrough moments! So glad I could be part of it ♥️
This was my fist stuffed item that I ever crocheted. Thank you so much for sharing this easy tutorial .
This is a wonderful little thing. I see a whole slew of them on my Christmas "to make" list. I love small items to make that are easy to travel with.
Just made my first amigurumi. Looks so cute. My grandkids will love them. Thanks.
Thank you SO much for including the written pattern! I'm making a couple today for my grandcats. 😻
I love these! Thank you :) It was easy to follow and much more exciting than another washcloth
Darling coffee mugs. Great tutorial! I love making these to give away. People really seem to like receiving them. Thank you so much!

Too darn cute! I am a coffee lover and plan on making these in all different sizes. Your tutorial was very easy to follow. Thank you so much!
Adorable! Great gift idea. Thanks.
Great Tutorial video, you're the best instructor. First try, and I made it. 🥰🥰🥰
Watching from Philippines.🇵🇭
Dearest Megan, my fingers are all thumbs and I never thought it possible that I could crochet an upset coffee cup that looks halfway decent, but with your help, I did it! Not that mine looks anything like the cute cup you crocheted, but it is far and away superior to all the things I have crocheted before. I didn't even curse once while I was following your tutorial (something utterly unheard of with all my other trials). I loved the relaxing music and your pleasant voice and I will do my level best to crochet another upset coffee cup that I can actually gift to someone else. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
oh gosh! I didn't see this until now! Thank you so much for your kind words
I can't wait to try to make one😍❤️
They are so cute, thank you for sharing 💗
Super easy to make! Thank you! Hope you’re still happily crafting in your free time!

Very beautiful. I know crochet and knitting well. Thanks for the coffee mug. Looking forward for more tiny patterns for key chains.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. These are adorable and I look forward to making a bunch for gifts.
I've heard the magic loop is one of the hardest things to learn in beginner crochet, and your instructions were crystal clear:)
It just needs to click! So glad you found it helpful!
Even easier than the magic circle: use a slip knot
Omg, these are so cute and I am looking forward to crocheting them after I finish the project I working on. Thank you so much for sharing.
Love, love, love this sweet lil’ cup o’ coffee. I want to try this, I’m an advanced crocheter. I think I can. Thank you for sharing 😊
I just found this account and I am more than delighted. I honestly NEVER comment on UA-cam but I just had to this time! This project is so DARN CUTE and your video is really tidy plus your explanation are SUPER CLEAR!! This is, I think, my 3rd or 4th project and I did it without any difficulties thanks to you!
Praises! 👏🏾
Fun fun thank you, I love it!! Very quick and very easy to follow your instructions ❤
I love the little fellas so much, thank you for the tutorial!
I dislike sewing amigurumi parts together with a passion and I avoid it whenever I can, so I fiddled around a little and you can make the pattern no-sew pretty easily, which is another huuuge plus for me :3 brb, gonna make a family of coffee mugs now 🥰
My daughter and her friend (their birthdays are just a day apart) are going to love this! Thank you so much for the patterns. I can make enough for a little doll house, as I know that the girls will play with them as if they are dolls. Kids are cute like that...
I made one for my niece, who loves coffee, and I liked it so much I'm making one for myself! Great tutorial, especially the details on how exactly to attach the handle and coffee parts and the best way to weave in the ends.
Thank you for the pattern! I enjoyed making a happy coffee
You made making this super duper easy peasy!! I love it!! Thankyou for making and sharing this cute little coffee cup❤❤
