Ouch, it hurts my heart that you're buying that coffee! Hmu and I'll recommend places to buy ground specialty coffee that's better than Starbucks's or La Virginia's.
Hi Chanel & Michael, cool video as always and a pitty to hear that you're having trouble with the possible future contract and rental of the apartment. There's a good chance that it's just the owner idea/plan who wants to squeeze you and get more money out of you knowing that you are foreigners, you have dollars 💵 and can pay more. And also because organizing a move and all that is a pain in the a** and he might speculate that you will end up giving in to his conditions to avoid moving. I would advise you to first tell some of your best argentine friends in Buenos Aires (you can also ask your spanish teachers for advise) and they will be able to advise you better and perhaps even help you discover a good alternative. In any case, you should stand firm in your position and do not hesitate to tell the owner of the apartment that you think his proposition is an abuse and you suspect that he does it because he knows that you are US americans and is speculating. She is using the blue dollar rate which is more or less 1 usd=1200 pesos... ARS$300,000.00 is US$250... Blue Dollar AKA Dólar Blue or Unofficial Dollar is parallel to the dollar rate of USD in Argentina. This is the cost of buying and selling a physical dollar bill in a cueva, or clandestine financial house in Buenos Aires.

Argentina is currently expensive in US dollars. I left Argentina over 24 years ago. Watching some of your videos made me realize how fortunate I was in leaving that country behind. I see no progress, uncertainty, neither future. I hate to think like this but the country will need at least 5 or more presidential terms like Milei to get the country back on track. Maybe, in the distant future I would consider to come back…maybe. Good luck with your endeavor around Argentina.
I can't sit through the whole video but did you mention the average salary in Buenos Aires? Throwing around numbers without context is not very useful. As far as I know, average salary is Argentina is around US$350 to US$450. Living standards there are abysmal. I should know, I lived there for 30 years and have spent the last 10 years living in North America.
What do you mean by living standards?, I’m retired now so this is why I wouldn’t ever pick the US over Argentina for quality of life but that’s just me at this stage.I can walk late at night downtown Buenos Aires without any worries compared to most US cities plus it’s is a very lively and fun city at night . Argentina is way safer and the food is ten times better than in the US and that’s all I need to be happy.
If you make a rental contract in pesos you will always be better off. The dollar will rise. And if you do it in dollars, your rent probably won't increase as much. In any case, there you have one more argument for negotiation. On the other hand, october 24.7pm, there is a design event in an area called Distrito Arenales, you could go. it's cute. Cheers.

(: Which country did you choose to live in?
@ The US.
Andate maquina nomas, nadie te detiene (ni t espera de vuelta)
On the other hand, october 24.7pm, there is a design event in an area called Distrito Arenales, you could go. it's cute. Cheers.
Thank you for both of these!!
do not live in that neighborhod! there are others very cools like Boedo, Parque chacabuco, villa mitre. Recoleta, Palermo, belgrano are places fopr rich people, there is no need to be there. The south of bs as is awesome
"...such a steal for a cinema ticket..."
I cant listen to people who use the word "like" in every sentence unnecessarily. bye.
Bye Karen.

Pedile una rebaja por el alquiler o decile que te lo disrribuya un poco en el tiempo. El problema es que el dolar bajo y la inflacion todavia sigue. Pero el no ya lo tenes. Suerte con eso.
Gracias!!
