Last year, i spent both holidays in New York and deeply missed being with my loved ones in BA, having asado in the hot weather and celebrating at 00.00. Nice video, I also spent Christmas in BA. I was surprised at the lack of Christmas decorations in the city. Even in Abu Dhabi, where I lived from 2005 to 2010, there were more Christmas decorations than in Buenos Aires.

My dear girl. I apologise for some of my fellow Argentians who are having arguments about politics in your chat. There is a big gap in Argentina regarding politics. I don't know if it is as bad between Republicans and Democrats in USA, but here the gap is huge and people get very upset while arguing. Saying that, I know that Argentina is more expensive now for expats but it was a necessary change for us, Argentinians. I wanted to tell you that it is very hard to spend Christmas far from family. It brings up a lot of memories and it is the time of the year when we treasure moments, share love and talks with our love ones. From the bottom of my heart I tell you that I am sorry that you have to go through this but what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I send you all my love and understanding. All the blessings for this New year, happy thoughts, good health, prosperity and tons of love. Happy New year.

Great video guys!!! Its normal to be sad during the holiday season when you live abroad Channel. Even when you live for many years abroad that feeling remains Actually the melancolic spirit of the tango comes from the inmigramts in Argentina missing their born places but living abroad also gives you many great things and experiences that makes you grow If you can organize a visit to NY every holiday season or even during the year it will be great !!! I'd just reccomend to avoid the departure after December 17th because the tickets get too pricy

I want to visit BA soon for a week. What should I do and know so I have a great time? Not so much places to visit but rather logistics and house keeping things so I don’t wish I had known about them before I arrived. Thank you. Love your content.

Chanel, we can perfectly understand how you're feeling, getting that emotional during holidays season, I hope you cope with it the best way you can (but don't mind if some tears are showing because that demonstrates and confirms the good and sensitive person you really are) In spite of what many people may say, our ways of celebrating Christmas are not that different. We gather with our family and relatives, have a delicious Christmas eve dinner, we await until it's midnight and then we cheer up with each other, rising our glasses full of cider, hugging and kissing one another and then we remain up till dawn eating treats, Panetone, etc and having good conversations. Some people also blast music and dance to it. Also the Xmas Tree presents are opened by the next morning (making the kids believe it was Santa putting them under the tree) although some others give presents to them in hand after making that toast at midnight (but they're the fewer ones) The next time you guys feel like eating a Choripan when you're in downtown area, go to The Carriages Market (@ Alem Avenue a few meters from Cordoba Avenue) you'll find a couple of Parrillas in there (I don't remember seeing you there on any of your videos, perhaps I missed that visit, if you've ever been to that place, I'm not sure of that 🤔 ) but if you haven't yet, bear it in mind. La verdadera vibra de Argentina lamentablemente no está en esos sitios... Por eso, contactarte con locales que sean de tu confianza y compartir sus vivencias, quizás sus hogares y sus costumbres pueden hacer que tu experiencia en este país sea 100% mejor. Chanel!! Everyone leaves the city during vacation time, you are about to seee an empty city day after day, I recommend an Airbnb in Mar del plata. LEAVE THE CITY, trust me!! Pinamar, Mar del Tuyú, Mar de Ajó, al of them are good options. TRUST ME, Leave the city!!! EDIT: My mother is old, I need her to leave for ever, I miss her every day. Hello chanel! So the small markets that don't have thoose machines with sensors in the main door normally gonna ask you to leave the bag in a locker or behind the checkout counter. For example if you usually go to dia they don't ask for that cuz they have those machines. About "sabores express" they were in the news a few days ago cuz police raided some branches and find a big amount of undeclared money and illegal GUNS!! like shotguns.. so its funny that they found such a shady things in that kind of shop!!! This 2025 will be the year when you get your DNI, and then you can have your argie passports, and then you can decide if you want to stay here or if you want to go back home. But if you return, you will see that everything (for the most part) stays the same, nothing will be changed (Canada shall not be the 51st state and Mexico the 52nd) and probably you will miss Atgentina's kaos and that nobody cares if you are white, brown, black or blue with red dots
