one of the things I love about the Lutheran liturgy is that it is all based on the Bible. It makes theology beautiful. The Liturgy points us to God and is respectful.
Thank you Pastor W. I have struggled with fear throughout my life and especially so recently. Fear of the end, of the government, wicked people etc. Your teaching of God's word is great comfort to me.
Thank you for sharing this in video form, Pastor Wolfmueller! I listened to this on Cross Defense and am completely blown away by the fact that, after the Lord has cast aside our fears so that only He is left, He then says to us, "fear not." Like someone else said, "salve for the soul."
YES!! SO GOOD! I refer to this as death-worship or life-worship. Life worship does mean you fear God, you fear failing Him, you fear not being in His arms, you fear seeing His wrath asked at you or anyone else. All else pales to that power!
The only way to be free of fear is to fear God, the one who deserves our fear more than anything else. Hmmmmm... The paradox of fear? The ultimate comfort? I think more the latter than the former.
