  • Dr. Klaper tells us about the importance of liver health, liver function, and the importance of diet in reversing fatty liver. Non-alcohol fatty liver is rampant in the western diet that is high in fats and sugars. Eating a whole foods plant based diet will help detoxification in fatty liver treatment. He recommends to eliminate fructose, vegetable oils, and alcohol from the diet and to replace with whole plant based foods.
Question: Will eating a whole food plant-based diet and abstaining from alcohol reverse fatty liver?

My fatty liver got cleared after about 10 months of eating low fat whole food plant based. Mainly ate vegetable smoothies (like the ones from goodbye lupus), beans, rice, potatoes and corn. I didn't have fat, since I was afraid of getting a gallstone attack.
It had a low amount of fat and it cleared up. I'm still working on clearing the gallbladder from gallstones.
Edited to add: I also did the Andreas Moritz liver and gallbladder flush. I felt it helped me. The info on how to do it can easily be found online.

Starch does not harm the liver, it’s the combination of starch and fat. Like donuts, chips, pizza, pasta with Alfredo sauce, have as much starch as you want zero fat. fruit does not harm the liver, fructose does, like the high fructose corn syrup in sodas. Fruit juices, but whole fruit does not harm the liver. The delivery system that includes fibre and polyphenol, etc. is beneficial and protects from any of the to that is present.

Starch based solution is not good!
      Nutritarian is much better.
Basically don’t be afraid of healthy plant fats like nuts and eat low glycemic carbohydrates like beans and whole grains not in bread form. Like pearl barley instead of rice.
And lower calories/food so you are losing around .5kg a week. As you lose weight liver fat will go.
Also plant based is great but it’s not much better at reducing fatty liver than most other weight loss diet.

In layman's terms... putting the right fuel in your body will help it flourish. Think of your petrol car, put in petrol, it works like a dream but you add other crap into it like fake chemicals, debri etc... it will eventually break down. The body is similar, remove the chemicals, preservatives, man made oils and eating something that is close to nature and not processed will allow your body to thrive. I need to correct your question slightly... it is 'Whole food plant based diet' and not plant based diet. The reason i say this is you can practically eat plant based burgers, bread, pasta, vegan cakes, chocolates etc and this will most def not lead you to a healthy life... Although i am more plant based than vegetarian, i can see no issue if your diet is 90% whole food plant based and you decide to eat some meat which is organic and free from hormones, chemicals, antibiotics, abuse (adrenaline/ cortisol hormones) etc along with the same for fish and eggs. Moderation is key here but no one explains this. moderation for me is if you want to eat meat/ eggs/ fish have it twice a month so that is 2 meals. but a lot of people think moderation is to have this twice a day for 6 days in a week. Fasting (eat all your food in a 10 hour window or less and keep to same routine/ times), quality sleep (try and keep the same schedule and always wake up the same time each day), moderate exercise (going out for walks and enjoying nature and fresh air), good water intake (filter that remove's chlorine, fluoride, hormones', pharma meds and other rubbish) and something to anti stress (meditation , mindfulness etc) All of this will allow your body to clean up its insides, no blockages in your body= a well oiled machine and it will keep the weight off!
