      baz: Yes, I know what you mean, baz. I have only very recently become a vegan, and making sure I eat greens every day. Also declining to eat processed foods, or sugar-laden items. And one of the things I am noticing is that I have a greater awareness of my responsibility to take care of the body which God has given me. It's taken me 75 years to get here, and really I'm amazed that I'm still alive. This new-found sense of responsibility is not only about good nutrition. It's also about things like taking care to be warmly dressed when it's cold. And not putting myself at risk by climbing step ladders now that my sense of balance is reduced. It's also about looking after my environment, like putting things away rather than just putting them down till later. Becoming vegan is one of the best things I have done.

    I remember when I started the vegan diet 5yrs ago, I did it for 5 months straight. Then it came crashing down, because like Dr. Klaper mentioned, you have to eat “REAL” food. I started back this year after researching and doing my due diligence. I’m now consistent with a Whole Foods Plant Based Lifestyle. My body feels the difference and much better.

    • @BrianJHilliard
      @BrianJHilliard Рік тому +1

      @@geno5169 Hey there. My advice is to start slow. For example: Start off eating Vegetarian meals. That’s where you can still eat eggs, cheese pizza (no meat on the pizza) & you can still have dairy. The key this is that you want to incorporate more vegetables, fruits & nuts (if you’re not allergic). UA-cam has many videos with recipes & how to make delicious meals. I hope this helps.

      Have a look at Dr. Joe Dispenza's work too. I highly recommend his online course for healing emotional baggage - the thyroid is very responsive to emotions so releasing old stuff (not talking about it! - just makes people worse!), can create huge shifts in the body and radical remissions. Have a look at the healing testimonials on his website. It's really mind blowing!

    The number one rule to make a WFPB diet (or anything) successful is to find what works for you. And from what I see, there are two camps: Salad eaters and Starch eaters. I tried and failed until I fond the Starch Solution. And it doesn't hurt to have a few vices. We're only human, and a few chips and sweets can be a good thing when used as positive reinforcement. But every time I see hear this guy speak, I learn something.

    I guess the opportunity is gone. I want to learn and share this knowledge. It would be a dream fulfilled. If there is still a chance hope to se it. It’s very exciting that the truth about plant based nutrition is now being accepted as fact. I was told I was crazy years ago. As a kid I was more inclined to eat this way. I think because as a baby I was allergic to milk and was on soy milk. Then my family served crap processed foods. I was bulimic I went to a rehab. They forced me to eat more processed foods. Only eating plant based have I fully recovered from excessive cravings for food,. my anxiety level has gone down and my focus has increased. Maybe others aren’t so sensitive but the facts are there to support plant based is the healthiest. My goal is to help others. The best of health to you.🌺

    I've seen this video before. I find it easier to just take a good multivitamin, an Omega 3 DHA/EPA supp, extra B12 (you can never have too much), and add vitamin C-rich foods to my iron-rich meals. Even got my iron up the highest it's ever been for a blood drive by simply adding lemon to my food. Love Dr. Klaper! 🙂♥️

    About fresh fruit and vegetables. What about the frozen option ? Is it also a healthy option?

    • @adammorgan1776
      @adammorgan1776 4 місяці тому

      Frozen fruit and vegetables have been shown to be as good, if not better in cases, as they tend to be frozen very soon after harvesting, and thus halt the breakdown and loss of nutrients in the fruit/veg. However, you still need to use the frozen fruit/veg in a certain amount of time (usually within 3 months) to get the maximum benefit from the frozen fruit/veg, as the quality does start decreasing still due to the ice crystals and freezer burns that will occur.
      The difference, however, between fresh and frozen isn't really worth worry about too much, and ultimately comes down to which is more convenient and how soon you'll be using the fruit/veg.

    seeing the picture of that snack food isle made me realized almost all of the "snack foods" come from plants, or plants are somehow involved in the processing of the food

    • @ruthdennisKnits
      @ruthdennisKnits 4 роки тому

      Lucas Tigy Snack foods are perverted from the whole plant food. Also the snacks have added fats and oils that are not good for nutrition. If a plant needs fat it would be in the plant without man adding the fat; look at avocado,nuts and seeds , they have their own fats. Potatoes do not. Why add fats to potato? Fats are added for flavor and not because they are nutrition

    • @LucasTigy2
      @LucasTigy2 4 роки тому +4

      @@ruthdennisKnits i agree, they are taking plants and refining them to a point that they are no longer healthy. they take seeds and press out their oils to fry potatoes in, using the same types of oils to turn grains into crackers. they pull out the sugars from beets and syrup from corn to make candies and sodas, even hiding the sugars in other foods like bread. it makes you realize how highly profitable plants are for the many ways the food industry can contort them to meet whatever demand they want to sell people. cookies, granola bars, cups of fruit soaking in syrup... all of it ripped from the very plants that are supposed to keep us healthy and it's terrible

      My father reversed his by growing and juicing wheatgrass. He followed the program from the Hippocrates Health Institute, run by Dr. Brian Clement & founded by Ann Wigmore. The whole-foods plant based program that most people are following, include too many cooked foods to my liking, but are probably ok for young people with no known diseases in their bodies. I eat at least 2 “living food” raw meals per day, which include sprouts that I grow myself for pennies a day. Dr. Clement wrote a book I recommend, Living Foods For Optimum Health.
