I feel so much closer to God by eating this way I feel like I’m loving me better .! Thankyou so Much for the teaching
❤this! It’s so true!
baz: Yes, I know what you mean, baz. I have only very recently become a vegan, and making sure I eat greens every day. Also declining to eat processed foods, or sugar-laden items. And one of the things I am noticing is that I have a greater awareness of my responsibility to take care of the body which God has given me. It's taken me 75 years to get here, and really I'm amazed that I'm still alive. This new-found sense of responsibility is not only about good nutrition. It's also about things like taking care to be warmly dressed when it's cold. And not putting myself at risk by climbing step ladders now that my sense of balance is reduced. It's also about looking after my environment, like putting things away rather than just putting them down till later. Becoming vegan is one of the best things I have done.
Very true...
I remember when I started the vegan diet 5yrs ago, I did it for 5 months straight. Then it came crashing down, because like Dr. Klaper mentioned, you have to eat “REAL” food. I started back this year after researching and doing my due diligence. I’m now consistent with a Whole Foods Plant Based Lifestyle. My body feels the difference and much better.
I’m here wanting to try this new lifestyle of eating plant based! But I’m nervous because all I eat is eggs and love my burgers and pizza. Do I have to give up everything?
@@geno5169 Hey there. My advice is to start slow. For example: Start off eating Vegetarian meals. That’s where you can still eat eggs, cheese pizza (no meat on the pizza) & you can still have dairy. The key this is that you want to incorporate more vegetables, fruits & nuts (if you’re not allergic). UA-cam has many videos with recipes & how to make delicious meals. I hope this helps.
Putting lemon on my broccoli more often now... thanks! I love his lectures and interviews. I always learn so much. Dr. Klaper is my hero.

Have a look at Dr. Joe Dispenza's work too. I highly recommend his online course for healing emotional baggage - the thyroid is very responsive to emotions so releasing old stuff (not talking about it! - just makes people worse!), can create huge shifts in the body and radical remissions. Have a look at the healing testimonials on his website. It's really mind blowing!
Ten year vegan. I was junk food to WFPB off and on. Then went 95% WFPB. 6 months now. Great blood numbers , 65 years old
I regrew a thyroid that had mostly been removed when I was 11 years old by eating a macrobiotic diet - while grains, beans, veg, fermented foods, and sea veggies. In fact, all of my allergies ‘disappeared’ too!

Wonderful! Micheal klaper is on my list of names of important people
The number one rule to make a WFPB diet (or anything) successful is to find what works for you. And from what I see, there are two camps: Salad eaters and Starch eaters. I tried and failed until I fond the Starch Solution. And it doesn't hurt to have a few vices. We're only human, and a few chips and sweets can be a good thing when used as positive reinforcement. But every time I see hear this guy speak, I learn something.
I love 'that's not food!' I'm going to use that the next time I'm at the supermarket :)

I was feeling very tired on a vegan diet, and when I started taking a vitamin supplement with iron, it was like magic. I eat lots of iron-rich plants, but I still needed a supplement and that’s fine.
That’s because the iron in plants is not available to your body.
@@generaljane7643 why isn’t it available?
@@generaljane7643 Not necessarily. I know I absorb iron from plants just fine. My iron levels are great but they never were good before I went vegan
Yeah, everybody is different! If you need an iron supplement, there's no shame in that.
Yep I'm the same. Mine is genetic though. I just take vitamin C which helps absorb the iron from plants.
Sometimes I have to do 4 weeks straight on iron tablet's if needed.
I guess the opportunity is gone. I want to learn and share this knowledge. It would be a dream fulfilled. If there is still a chance hope to se it. It’s very exciting that the truth about plant based nutrition is now being accepted as fact. I was told I was crazy years ago. As a kid I was more inclined to eat this way. I think because as a baby I was allergic to milk and was on soy milk. Then my family served crap processed foods. I was bulimic I went to a rehab. They forced me to eat more processed foods. Only eating plant based have I fully recovered from excessive cravings for food,. my anxiety level has gone down and my focus has increased. Maybe others aren’t so sensitive but the facts are there to support plant based is the healthiest. My goal is to help others. The best of health to you.🌺
Never realized junk food was considered vegan, automatically thought whole foods off the bat. But yeah, even if your not vegan, whole foods is the way to go!

seeing the picture of that snack food isle made me realized almost all of the "snack foods" come from plants, or plants are somehow involved in the processing of the food
Lucas Tigy Snack foods are perverted from the whole plant food. Also the snacks have added fats and oils that are not good for nutrition. If a plant needs fat it would be in the plant without man adding the fat; look at avocado, nuts and seeds , they have their own fats. Potatoes do not. Why add fats to potato? Fats are added for flavor and not because they are nutrition
@@ruthdennisKnits i agree, they are taking plants and refining them to a point that they are no longer healthy. they take seeds and press out their oils to fry potatoes in, using the same types of oils to turn grains into crackers. they pull out the sugars from beets and syrup from corn to make candies and sodas, even hiding the sugars in other foods like bread. it makes you realize how highly profitable plants are for the many ways the food industry can contort them to meet whatever demand they want to sell people. cookies, granola bars, cups of fruit soaking in syrup... all of it ripped from the very plants that are supposed to keep us healthy and it's terrible
I teased my sensory this morning with an energy drink and some granola right out the bag🤣 I promise to do better tomorrow lol

About fresh fruit and vegetables. What about the frozen option ? Is it also a healthy option?
Frozen fruit and vegetables have been shown to be as good, if not better in cases, as they tend to be frozen very soon after harvesting, and thus halt the breakdown and loss of nutrients in the fruit/veg. However, you still need to use the frozen fruit/veg in a certain amount of time (usually within 3 months) to get the maximum benefit from the frozen fruit/veg, as the quality does start decreasing still due to the ice crystals and freezer burns that will occur.
The difference, however, between fresh and frozen isn't really worth worry about too much, and ultimately comes down to which is more convenient and how soon you'll be using the fruit/veg.
YOU are what you absorbed..great..
Celtic salt is great for minerals and Irish sea moss is great For iodine and many other minerals.

Table salt is not good salt.
One thing i do not understand as i am new on this path myself: If it is search a perfect diet for our health, why does it lack essential nutrients like b12 or zinc, or iodine? That's where my mind boggles. If if what nature has intended for us, why isn't it complete in itself? Thank you!
I like this point. Also, tooth shape and the ability to digest meat suggest we're naturally omnivorous
@@fitforfreelance we are omnivores, 💯
Because modern agriculture has depleted the soil of nutrients and minerals. Plants don’t contain the levels of nutrients as they once did.

Re: iodine, if someone is taking Synthroid either because they have no thyroid or they are hypothyroid, do they still need to include iodine in their diet?
Yes, as iodine is needed in every cell in your body. It's not only the thyroid which requires iodine. Google Dr. Brownstein, Lynn Farrow etc.

I loved your show keep doing what your doing. Btw... where did you get your chair from? I love the grey round chair....
Chemistry teacher here: iodine does not evaporate from sea water! Just like chlorine does not evaporate from salt water - or else your salty soup would smell like chlorine. That is because sea water contains iodine in the form of ions, i. e. in a salt, not in its elemental, pure form. Great lecture apart from this.
Remember, you do have the process of sublimation of iodine from sea water due to photochemical oxidation, granted, in the ocean this will still be a tiny amount. However, this process will be increased due to the way sea salt is extracted from the ocean. Sea water is collected and left in shallow pools to be evaporated by the sun (solar radiation). Then we have the iodine concentration in sea water being ~60 parts per billion (ppb), which is a very low concentration anyway, this very low concentration and photochemical oxidation will allow for most of the iodine in the sea water to sublimate out, leaving exceptionally tiny amounts of iodine in the remaining salt, as to be practically zero.
So yes, iodine doesn't exactly evaporate, seeing as it's evaporation point is higher than waters boiling point at 184°C, but other processes can still cause iodine to decrease in concentration, in this case photochemical oxidation. Also remember, these sea water pools are left out in the sun for weeks. Of course there are other processes that can also extract sea salt, but generally the traditional method is used, where the salt can be bought at a far lower price.
Either way, the iodine concentration is extremely low in sea water anyway.
@@adammorgan1776 Thank you for that. Didn’t know about oxidation just from being outside in the sun.
Hes awesome!!
Can final stage renal disease be cured with a plant based diet?
Yes love.
My father reversed his by growing and juicing wheatgrass. He followed the program from the Hippocrates Health Institute, run by Dr. Brian Clement & founded by Ann Wigmore. The whole-foods plant based program that most people are following, include too many cooked foods to my liking, but are probably ok for young people with no known diseases in their bodies. I eat at least 2 “living food” raw meals per day, which include sprouts that I grow myself for pennies a day. Dr. Clement wrote a book I recommend, Living Foods For Optimum Health.
