7:36 - "Don't look now, CAPTAIN... behind you... I think that rock is gaining on you." I got a chuckle out of you relating seeing one tugboat as having 'encountered civilization'... truly, it's been a very long time since you've been in a major city, or taken a ride on a crowded subway/tube! Ah - the life!!
Yes, it's amazing what you get used to. We hadn't seen a subway for a good four years at this point. Strange when you consider I rode the tube twice a day in London for most of my working life! Liz
Spectacular, spectacular locations. I have flown over the Torigian islands many times and spent time in Sulawesi and Halmahera, but to see your journey along the coast is very special. Thank you so much for sharing!

Despite your apprehensions you got your best sleep in ages. I guess that is one of the mysteries of the Sea ( U/C duly noted). Despite the same, this was one of your most calming videos yet. Regards.
Another awesome journey while we eat our roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings, yup stuffed silly, no room for pudding, as my mum would say, eyes bigger than my belly, looking forward to the next instalment.
Thanks for another great video. I keep a log of subscribed channels on 4x7 index cards so I appreciate your use of maps. Spent 6yrs in the got to go around the World but these help a lot.
Wahoos are part of the mackerel family and are similar, but Liz will be able to tell you the difference between them in more detail. She's clever like that 😁
Yes, very similar. Wahoos are sleeker, but almost identical. A professional fisherman told me it was a wahoo, but the other giveaway is how common they are here! Liz 👌
We just left the Sentani/Jayapura area by plane. Your adventures inspire us to consider exploring the area by sea. I love watching your videos and dreaming.
I've been following you guys for a number of years now. I believe this is the first time I've saw Jamie catch a fish. I guess not actually catching a fish but holding on to it. So. Liz can you verify that he actually caught it?
When you speak of satellite images does that mean Google Earth ? .. someone mentioned previously Ovital was Chinese and has now been suppressed .. bit confused !
Hi Andy. I never liked Ovital, it was a horrible, bloated app. As Liz says, Alpine Quest is much lighter with lots of options, and there are literally hundreds of maps available. We use both Google and Bing for most sea-based sat images.
Honestly, it's such a great sailing channel. I watch quite a few and am starting to believe that yours is the best.
Aww, that's very kind of you to say! Thank you for the encouragement. 🙏 Liz
There is no better sailing you tube. THANK YOU! We are trying to get underway, broke and making improvements.
Get used to being broke. 😄 Seriously, though, you're gonna love it when you get underway. 🙏 Liz
Being thankful for the small things. Like a good night's sleep. 🙏💤😴
It's so important when you're navigating through testing waters. Can't put a price on a good night's sleep!
@@followtheboat Don't mean this to be a shameless plug, but Jamie might like my "Old Guy Lullaby" song. LOL... a 'wee' bit of humor intended.

Just brilliant, and the background music makes this video very ASMR which is pleasant viewing!
Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed the music. Jamie takes great care selecting the right sounds, and I think this choice was particularly inspiring. 🙂🙏 Liz
Nice, no need to stop warming me here in the Norwegian winter
Thank you! Liz
13:00 - delightful sights and sounds of remote jungle islands.
Yes, and truly deserted, not many people live on them. Liz
You two are amazing!!! Thanks for the adventure
Thanks, Christine, I'm thrilled to know you enjoy our work. Peace and fair winds! Liz 🙏

We're hoping to get to Helmahera in the new year, Robert. 🤞🙏 Liz
I'll just say it again, Amazing video! I've been to some remote places in Indonesia but you guys take the cake for off the grid sailing.
That's the glory of cruising life, you can take it slow and easy. We do love Indonesia. 🙂 Liz

QUESTION: with all the motoring you're doing, how often do you need to check and change your fuel filters?
Good question! Far more often than we'd like, especially as the fuel quality is notoriously bad here. 🤦🏼 Liz
those anchorages looked awsome
It's an untouched paradise, for sure! Liz 🙏
Wow, stunning drone shots!
Pretty amazing place for a drone, it had to be done! Liz 🙏

That's good to know, Daniel. We covered a fair bit of distance in this episode but we're glad the tranquility comes across 😎👍
Holy Smokies…Crocodiles abound too😜 Another Great Episode…Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy 😎
We know they're there, but didn't see any (too busy looking for reefs, rocks and lurking dangers)! Cheers, Liz 🐊
Very nice thanks guys!
Thanks for watching, Trev! Liz 🙏

Hey, hey, hey! Enjoy! 🦃🍗🇺🇸 Liz

Wow, "index cards"? Takes me back to the days when I was a librarian! 😄🙏 Liz
Lovely watching you guys, are you sure that was a wahu? Looked like a Spanish Mackeral

@@followtheboat I've eaten Wahoo, beautiful
@@followtheboat Oh good to know, Whahoos are lovely as you know doubt know. I really enjoy you're channel x
Brilliant - Loved the image of you navigating a huge knob. Another great insight to a remote part of the world - Thank you.
That knob have Jamie a few nightmares, and we certainly lived them later on... 😱 Liz
Super beautiful. Happy to see you two having fun : )
Thanks mate, you'd absolutely love it here. When will you be allowed out (and back) have you been told yet? 🤔 Liz

The great thing about going to places like this in the boat is the ability to get into the remotest spots. We love this part of the world. Liz 🙏
Hi guys love your vids. Is the name of the sail you talked about a kraken. What type of sail is this. I can’t find what it is. Thanks for your help
The Kraken is a Greek mythological sea monster: there's an image of one on our sail. The sail is a Code 0 (zero). 🙏Liz
I've been following you guys for a number of years now. I believe this is the first time I've saw Jamie catch a fish. I guess not actually catching a fish but holding on to it. So. Liz can you verify that he actually caught it?
NO! I set the rod and tackle and caught the fish. Jamie is the clever editor. 😄😁 Liz
I seem to recall their fishing orders are
Liz catches, Jamie dispatches.
What type of Visa are you guys cruising around Indo on?
B211A... 📃🇮🇩 Liz
you're a sailboat, why are you going through that tiny channel? besides the wonderful scenery.
It's easier than trying to fly the boat... 🤔😁 Liz
@@followtheboat LOL...!!! But, of course!!
